Character
General
Jelili was born to middle class merchant parents in Ul'Dah. Even in her early years, played behind her parents’ stall in the market, meeting a lot of different people. Her parents tried to teach her the ways of bargaining and handling money, but it didn't really stick. Her parents then put her into a good school, designed more for academic pursuits than trade skills. She was best at reading comprehension and writing, not so great at math, and excelled in music. After her early education, Jelili went to a music conservatory to further her studies once her parents realized that she wasn’t going to cut it as a merchant. Her school performed at many events in Ul'Dah. Around this time, she had her first girlfriend, a Roegadyn named Bronze Gatherer, who was an apprentice in the Goldsmith’s Guild. She decided to move to Gridania at the age of 22. It was her first time leaving Thanalan. For a while, she was always cold, as she was used to the merciless, constant sun. She got lost often, as all the greens blended together in her brain. She started training at the Archer’s Guild in the hopes of one day becoming a Bard. She also performed at the Amphitheater in the middle of the city a few times in the month she was there. After rescuing the Tree from the Ixatl, the rest was history.

Personality
Jelili is cautiously optimistic. As in, neutral good, not lawful stupid. However, she believes that life and people are generally good. She's a calm and even-keeled person, generally affable and friendly. Under the calm exterior, there's often a thread of anxiety. Jelili isn't jumpy necessarily, but she still checks for easy exists when she enters a room or other confined space (caves, etc). The more she knows you, the more animated she becomes. However, Jelili is cautious and withdrawn around politicians and the like. She's good at adapting to situations. In combat, she goes by the motto of "Don't raise your weapon unless you're prepared to kill." She doesn't threaten, she either negotiates or kills. Let other people threaten, if that'll get results. Jelili is almost a different person on the battlefield. She becomes more focused and more ruthless. Getting the job done becomes the second most important factor beyond protecting her teammates.

Weapons
- ₪ Bow: Jelili first learned to use a bow at the age of 22, when she moved to Gridania to join the Archer's Guild. Eventually, after years of work, she became a Bard at the age of 24.
- ₪ Gun: Jelili heard about Machinists after meeting Cid, and at first, she was horrified by the idea of guns. Too easy to kill, she thought. Still, she was curious, and when she got to Foundation, she paid the Guild a visit. Stephanivien showed her how guns worked, and taught her how to shoot - much different from a bow, she learned. After a long time, she learned to love guns, and to use them as her preferred weapon.
Magic
- ₪ Astrologian: Jelili's husband Esther is usually behind her to heal, but as she started doing more on her own, she decided to learn a little more about healing arts. Since she was in Ishgard anyway, she decided to learn the way of the Astrologian. She never became great at it, but she's passable.

- Jelili's husband of more than a year. Her marrying a Lalafellian man was a surprise to pretty much everyone who knew her.

- Jelili and her mother are distant from each other, and always have been. Barere is in charge of the family business, selling textiles in Ul-Dah.
- Doje Muje (Father) (Lalafell, Dunesfolk)
- Jelili's hero. Jelili was Doje's favorite child, and he doted on her constantly.
- Chine Fuhane (Oldest brother) (Lalafell, Plainsfolk)
- Jelili's best friend growing up. He will inherit the family business after his mother retires.

- Jelili is fond of Ormes, but they're not especially close. He's an Arcanist who works in a library in Limsa Lominsa.
