The distinctive dance she employs in combat is a means of channeling and controlling the innate magics she possesses. Not knowing what they were when she first discovered her talents she would later learn that were untamed forces that loosely fell under the purview of thaumaturgy or conjuring. The diametric opposition of both types of magic to each other caused problems until she devised a means to channel and balance the energies within her by means of special dance-like movements. She weaves aether about her in faint strands of elementally-aspected aether. The dance amplifies the potency of the spells and makes them almost impossible to defend against because they will coalesce instantly and sometimes strike twice in quick succession to break any wards that were lucky enough to deflect the first elemental aspect of her attack.

Standing four ilms over five fulms, K'hora is tall for a Xaela female. She is physically strong with an athletic build one hundred and weighs one hundred and ten ponzes. Her skin is a warm brown hue with a slight hint of red - as much in thanks to the Thanalan sun as to her forebears. Her horns and scales are a little lighter in color from a distance than other Xaela. Upon closer inspection they appear to have a pearlescent luster at the seams and ridges that has a hidden iridescence that will only reveal itself in firelight or brightest moonlight. The scales and tip of her tail are smooth to the touch despite the rough appearance they give from afar. The smaller barbs near the tip of the tail will soften and lay flat when she is relaxed. The tail itself is prehensile, capable of holding significant weight for its size, coiling itself around objects, and delicate movement when called for. She has full control of it when she wishes but it will follow the whims of her emotional state and express itself with independent movement.

Scars & Markings: As a veteran soldier and adventurer before that, K'hora has numerous faded scars that appear as faint lines of a lighter color on her dark skin. Her innate healing magic has prevented any from forming any serious scar tissue in her skin so they can be seen but hardly felt. K'hora chose not to completely erase them as they healed, preferring to keep them instead. Each scar is a symbolic link to a memory she should not forget.

Voice: K'hora has an unusual voice for a Xaela. Her early life with her adoptive tribe has lent certain Seeker Miqo'te inflections and seven years living in Ul'dah has resulted in her unique accent. She has a sultry voice with a deep, rich laugh.

Clothing: As a long-serving officer in the ranks of the Immortal Flames K'hora is most often seen wearing a long coat issued to First Flame Lieutenants. The seemingly innocuous boots she wears are in fact stolen Garlean armor she acquired while on assignment in Kugane, in the Far East. The details of how she came to possess them are a source of mystery to all but a select few. Her continued use of them is seen as further proof of her difficult nature and disregard for protocol by her rivals within Flames Command. Though commonly seen wearing it, her lieutenant's garb is in fact an illusion fashioned by a complex system of glamours linked to the distinctive "earrings" she wears. The pair of earrings allow K'hora to summon glamours over herself with a simple incantation. It is never clear at any time what K'hora is actually wearing under the glamour's appearance. When not in uniform K'hora wears a variety of outfits as she goes about her business or leisure pursuits. She retains a fondness for the purple color favored by her adoptive tribe. As an avid dancer she often wears clothing that allows freedom of moment and/or flowing pieces intended to catch the eye as she dances.

K'hora is friendly and lively when engaged in conversation though she may not always initiate it with strangers. This is not out of any tendency to be shy as she is far from it. She has a habit of subconsciously tracking others around her. Be it their movements or words, if something sparks her interest as curiosity or danger, she will turn her attention to the source. She is fond of female company and will flirt with those she finds attractive. She rarely filters her speech for the sake of others and will speak honestly without care of offending others though she is rarely vulgar. K'hora will always act with the common good in mind and if a rule needs to bent (or broken) she will not hesitate to do so. She may choose not to intervene in matters of lawbreaking, preferring to leave such matters to the Brass Blades unless she witnesses the act or a threat to civilians is present. She is a passionate woman and those passions may lead her on a course that causes difficulty for herself. Revealing or being discovered to be involved in illegal activity will not necessarily result in her being at odds with another. If she deems the offence to be minor she will likely overlook it and not press the matter. If the offense is despicable in her view such as murder, forced slavery or, rape of another she may attempt to arrest the suspect. If witnessed or confessed to she may execute the offender on the spot, regardless of repercussions.

As an officer in the Immortal Flames she is something of a talking point among her fellow soldiers. Though she has been a command ranked officer for seven years she has not been assigned with troops of her own for long periods since the battle with the Imperial XIVth legion at Carteneau. Rumors concerning her duties between Carteneau and her new appointment as a magical combat instructor in the Free brigade six months ago speak of classified field work abroad ranging from diplomatic expeditions to some labeling her as little better than an assassin. K'hora herself is content to let others concoct whatever fictions they desire so long as it doesn't compromise her work. K'hora has twice held the higher rank of Flame Captain and since been demoted. The first incidence of her demotion is now years past but still makes her blood boil as she felt she was caught in the fallout of the political games of others within Command. After later regaining the rank of Flame Captain and despite acquiring a better awareness of political dangers to her position, fate decreed she was to lose the rank again by her own actions this time for which she took responsibility freely. The Flame General himself presided over her court martial and questioned her on the reasoning that had led her there. Though he accepted her actions on a personal level he could not overlook the actions themselves. Along with her rank she lost her position under his direct command as a Bloodsworn. Though several called for her dishonorable discharge to be enacted, she was instead assigned her current role as instructor and recruiter for the Free Brigade and stationed in Ul'dah. K'hora understands the significance of that judgement and tries to honor it well. Despite the often secretive nature of her duties over the years, the consensus among the Flames is that she is fiercely loyal to those she fights with and they to her. For as much trouble as her passions cause her, they have resulted in more commendations from her fellow soldiers than marks on her record.

Combat: K'hora carries a rapier as her personal weapon when on duty and is capable with it in combat though she sees it more as a simple part of her uniform than her true offensive tool. She is a highly capable battle mage and utilizes a unique combat style that is as contrary to conventional wisdom as everything else about her. Dancing and weaving her spells in quick succession to confuse and break enemy formations coupled with the limited but effective healing magics at her command make her an inspiring sight on the battlefield and popular with her troops.

◢ Common Rumors - Easily overheard. Use these freely!

"I've heard she was raised by a tribe of Seekers down in Southern Thanalan. No clue how she managed to get there though."
"The auri woman with the miqo'te ears? Yeah she's hard to miss. Heard she has a name like a Seeker too."
"I've seen more than one man try talk his way into a tumble with her and fail. She's never rude when she lets them down mind you."

◢ Uncommon Rumors - A little more difficult to hear. Use sparingly or ask first!

"She's been with Flames since they formed. She's been demoted at least twice. I don't know if she's just senseless or hates being out of the field."
"I was there! I'm telling you I saw her pick up a Brass Blade and throw him clear across the Quicksand! Well yes I was drinking. What's that got to do with it?"
"Don't waste your time chasing her. Seen her with a Raen half her age many times. No they weren't up to anything, so what? Who adopts a grown woman in Ul'dah if she ain't some noble girl?"

◢ Rare Rumors - Very rarely overheard. Please ask before using!

"Did you hear about that diplomatic mission to Hingashi a few months back? I heard some Imperials were killed and their embassy was pointing the finger at the Flames. My sister is married to the quartermaster and she swears the lieutenant is wearing the boots of an imperial soldier from the Far East. Sounds like a trophy to me."
"Was drinking with a dark-scaled Au Ra adventurer-type in the Quicksand and he saw her. Saw a funny look in his eye that wasn't lust. He said something about a half-breed and walked off muttering in his own tongue. I know I've seen her wear those ears sometimes but she didn't even have them on this time. Do you think he meant she has blood from one of the other kind, the white-scaled ones?"

Personal RP Limits

I will play mature content and themes (violence, sexuality, drug / alcohol use) as long as they're logical in a plot-driven encounter. Coarse and excessive language is at your discretion but may be ignored if it just done for the sake of it rather than advancing the plot or being integral to the character using it. Temporary injury and incapacitation. Temporary imprisonment. Most walk-up encounters. If you have a question then by all means send a /tell.
Ask about long-term and/or permanent injury and disfigurement. Long-term captivity or imprisonment.
I won't play ERP-only plots. Romance is perfectly fine and can lead to ERP encounters later but requests to start an ERP encounter without a logical build-up is not going to happen any more than it would in RL. No permanent character death or rape plots.
Disclaimer
■ If an aspect of RP makes you uncomfortable in a scene we're playing, please send me a /tell, letting me know. Communication is very important, more important than potentially keeping immersion.
