A businesswoman and entrepreneur, Kasumi seeks to increase her own self-made fortune and gain political and business power in the Far East. To the surprise of many, Kasumi comes from no noble clan, instead she was born into a simple family of rice farmers and shrine priestesses. At the age of eight cycles she was entered into a contract of indentured servitude to cover her father's debts and spent most of her childhood training to be a geisha. Debuting at fifteen cycles, she was a popular entertainer and often entertained the rich and powerful of Doma including samurai, merchants and even Garlean officers.During the razing she was forced to flee and spent some time in the Old World before travelling to Eorzea. During her time in Eorzea she helped found the well-known entertainment company, The Keeper's Kiss, and learnt much about the business and entertainment industry before striking out on her own after selling her shares of the company and investing in various revenues to increase her fortune. Having settled into her new life in the Far East, she runs an international trading business, The Golden Fox Trade House. The first thing that usually captures the attention of admirers of Kasumi is her porcelain pale skin, completely unblemished due to a lifetime of diligent care. Kasumi’s eyes are lavender in colour, surrounded by a thick limbic ring of black which gives her the appearance of wearing circles lenses. Because of this, her iris' looks bigger than it is and it makes her eyes look larger and doll-like. While her eyes are slanted like au ra and hyur from Othard, they are slightly more rounded than the average Othardians due to her non-Othardian sires blood. Long, thick black lashes adorn her vivid purple eyes adding to the woman's oval face which oft' portrays a false innocence to the world. Small, slightly plump lips are painted light pink and always have a ready smile for those she greets. Her straight platinum blonde hair is usually worn down and well-groomed past her shoulder blades. The woman's frame is willowy, and at 5'7 she is unusually tall for a Raen, another indicator of her mixed breeding. When looked at nude, one may note her skin is flawless, free of any blemishes or scars from a lifetime of pedantic care and a strict beauty regime. To the touch, Kasumi’s skin is soft and warm. An oddity about her is a lack of patches of scales compared to other Raen; her face has no scales except for the adornment on her temple. Likewise, her arms and legs have no patches of scales. The longest part of Kasumi’s body is her legs. Long, lean and pale, they are toned from a strict exercise regime including dance, yoga and the occasional run on the beach. She keeps them smooth and hairless, shaving them on a daily basis. Kasumi does not tan and gets sunburnt quite easily. Because of this, she often wears sun lotion and large hats in the warmer moons to help avoid getting sunburnt. The scent of sweet cherry blossom mixed with wildflowers of Yanxia accompanies her, the woman favouring the Far Eastern perfume above all else. Long after the scent of the perfume has faded one may note a similar scent clings to her skin from luxurious soaps and shampoos. Kasumi usually dresses in the most luxurious and latest fashion. Her style is always feminine, her garb usually consisting of exotic silks from the Near East, real fur coats, noble fashion from Ishgard or Far Eastern garments from her homeland. Her favoured colours to attire herself in are shades of purple, pink, white and black. At first, Kasumi gives off the appearance of the ideal Doman woman, polite, friendly, sweet and above all else demure. While she is all of these things, beneath the surface lays, as Vachir puts it, is a brat. Raised in an environment where she was only honoured by men for her beauty and pampered like a prize winning cat, the woman is vain and petty, not taking rejection or insults well. Despite her previous life of luxury as a Geisha in Doma, Kasumi is hardworking and highly ambitious, especially when it comes to business matters. While the woman can be selfish at times, those she considers friends or "under her watch" such as her staff, she is highly protective of and maternal towards. Nothing invokes her anger quicker than seeing someone she cares for being attacked by another, whether it be verbally or physically. Kasumi's morality is somewhat complex. She often uses her high social intelligence to her advantage whether it be through polite conversation or plain manipulation. Despite this, Kasumi is a genuinely kind person to those her earn her favour or that Kasumi naturally has a high opinion of such as other Domans. Above all other things, Kasumi values hard-work, manners and loyalty and those with such traits often find themselves highly respect by the woman. However, once wronged, the Doman is hard to get back on the good side of. Somewhat of socialite, she has many associates and business connections, but little is actually known about the woman herself. When interacting with others she generally tries to keep to light conversation or learn about the person she is conversing with. While she's the woman that seems to know everyone, she rarely talks about her own personal life and past.
