General Information Prior to her involvement with the Garlean-occupied state, Shinonome was an unindentified face serving as a mountain ranger. Her late master, who perished during the Doman Razing, was a surviving military minister and formidable thinker, albeit a known coward. It is said that his ingenious methods live on in his loyal general, perpetually tormenting his adversaries long after his passing. She is the current head of the Household of Genbu, a corps of Doman partisans comprised of a handful of her master's surviving samurai and shinobi. Once a young patriot serving the liberation efforts of her splintered homeland from the shadows, she now plays an active role in the capital's restoration, concentrating on the repatriation of refugees; orchestrating small-scale operations to neutralize threats to the peace; and availing the Kienkan of the Household's elder statesmen, who collectively act as an advisory body and freestanding tribunal to the King. Despite her dignified exterior, Shinonome is prone to throwing herself into situations that are uncool or largely beneath her dignity -- falling down entire flights of stairs when inattentive or drinking herself into a happy stupor during social functions.
