Face: Wears little to no makeup, too much of a hassle, though at times she'll dawn a bit of lip color. There is a small scar on her face from a encounter earlier in her life. Her eyes are a dark blue, though the color is rather hard to tell most of the time. Generally there is a somewhat relaxed yet serious look held on her face. Though her freckles seem to soften that look a bit.

Clothing & Apparel: Normally can be found in chain-mail or a combination of chain-mail and heavy armor. When she is not working or is actually managing to relax her clothing changes to mostly light cloth. Generally she is not found in overly flashy colors or outfits, though she does prefer the colors red and white. Most of the time she can be found wearing a necklace of sorts that seems to be out of character for her style, though the necklace is something she holds dear to her. Almost always she'll be wearing glasses, though she can see without them it's only objects at a close range.
Scars and Markings:

✧ Freckles and a beauty mark near the left corner of her lips

✧ A small scar trailing along the left side of her nose just under her eye

✧ What appears to be a branding scar on the back of her left hand that curls around her wrist a little. Mark appears to be a cross between a dagger and two scorpid stingers

✧ Over all her body has various scars and marks, from combat and learning to wield the weapon she carries. Some appear faded over the years.

✧ A large burn scar on her left shoulder with what appears to be an arrows wound at the center of it.

✧ Her mid section has countless large scars that appear to be from her youth.

✧ A long scar that trails up the side of her calf of her left leg.

Personality

Laid back but hard working. Tends to mind her own and expects others to do the same towards her. Doesn't talk much unless spoken to first, but can be a bit chatty if a topic arises that peaks her interest. Doesn't anger easily, it takes a awful lot to even begin to annoy her. Has a bit of a soft spot for creatures.

History
Early Life:

Even as a young child Lorraine knew what the word work meant. Her family wasn't bad off in Ishgard but they worked for everything they had. Her mother was a field medic who commonly was not around the home, while her father stayed busy with the shop. Her brother for the better half of her younger years aided in taking care of and keeping young Lorraine out of trouble. Early on she was tested to see if she took after her mother in being able to conjure the healing arts. Sadly this was not the case. Showing now magic talent at all. Not that this information stopped Lorraine in the slightest. Curiosity commonly lead her into getting into trouble and her brother having to track her down and bail her out. More common then not it was her bothering the few travelers that were in the city or the patrols that had returned from duty. She always was curious of the world outside of the walls. Bold dreams that she would leave one day.

Though even the dreams of a child can be broken. Lorraine's mother was injured in a attack on the patrol group she was traveling with. Only two of the patrol survived, but she lost her sight with her wounds. The adjusting of her mother always being around but unable to really do much lasted for quite a few years. Even so both Lorraine and her elder brother helped as best as they could. The rumor was there was a freak dragon attack on the unit but no one really knows what happened and her mother refused to speak of it. Blaming herself that she failed to keep the group safe. A normally happy and bright woman weighed with regret played a large role in Lorraine and how she looked at the world.

Adolescence:

As Lorraine got older she seemed to find more problems. They had the tendency to just fall into her lap by this point in her life. She lost her mother due to an illness that wasn't caught in time and her brother had gone off to be a lancer. This left her and her father to tend to the shop. Not that she really minded. Growing up around the forge and learning throughout the years made the craft come to her almost naturally. Though the years passed and her talent at her father's craft was apparent she still seemed to be in the shadow of bother her father and elder brother. Always being compared, some even asking why she did not try to follow her mother's path and aid people in medical. Generally it was not shown that she had any issues with being looked down on by some or being compared to the three people in her life she looked up to the most.

It wasn't till her later teens that she told a close friend of hers that she had plans to run away. To escape the constant shadow and forge her own path. She had no plans to take up a hammer once she left the city. She wanted to see the world and explore what was beyond the walls that kept her forever locked under the dark cloud that hovered over her. Though leaving was easier said then done without being caught. It took three tries before she finally managed to get the freedom she desired. Leaving everything behind her, name, family, friends.. Everything she knew she had plans to leave it all and make things on her own. A short lived thought as she managed to bumble her way through the Shroud and into what appeared to be a desert. Having no real knowledge besides some older maps with worn text to base her travel off of.. she had no idea where she was.

This lead her right into trouble with asking directions from the wrong people. Her travels landed her right in the middle of a small encampment, it seemed friendly enough.. all the way until a couple of Hyur stepped up and spoke. Starting with some lines that she appeared to be far from home. The leader of this group seemed to be a Lalafell. The name of the Lalafell wasn't of important at the time, her mind was suddenly screaming at her in a fight or flight defense. Common sense was flee. Being out numbered and most certainly out matched. Though the attempt at running was a short lived one. Not knowing the area Lorraine quickly found herself trapped with her back to the rocks and at least three trailing her with weapons already drawn. Some words about come with them quietly seemed to be the final straw she needed to make her choice. A lance that she had been carrying with her from her brother was her only weapon that she had experience with. Though she attempted to fight back it was a short lived fight.

Being left for dead. Fates were a bit kinder that faithful day as a older Highlander stumbled on Lorraine. Generally the older Highlander kept to himself, getting involved in another's affair was not a wise choice with times as they were. He saw something in the half dead girl though. A young spirit but one that refused to give up even with the odds stacked against her. Lorraine had managed to force herself to crawl from the rocky corner she was left to rot in and was found by Garnot. With a heavy bit of healing and rest it was found she had little to no memory left of her home let alone why she left. The attack seemed fresh in her mind though. Still Garnot was a older Highlander and had seen the lands a few times over. He was patient with young Lorraine. He assumed she had left home for some reason and she'd sooner or later recall the reason. The real issues where that she refused to trust anyone near her and couldn't remember anything about herself. Over time she did recall some things like her name, where she was from. The scar on her face was a constant reminder of the attack but she was also told that it was more then just a reminder. It was proof that she lived.

With no where to go Garnot agreed to Lorraine staying and helping in his shop. A small woodworking and repair shop. Mostly odd jobs but it was steady work none the less. It was also through Garnot that she learned the sword and shield. Skills she doesn't put into much use but still skills she has. It was thought that the lighter weapon and a way to block would be more suited if something where to happen again. Though there were still holes in her memory she had started to move forward with her life and make a bit of a name for herself. Things were finally looking up when they took a drastic change for the worse once more. Her mentor and guardian was ill. It wasn't till the end that she found out. The older man had been hiding it from her for a few years before being too weak to continue his fight. This struck her hard given he had been one of the few she had learned to trust and she was losing him the same way she lost her mother. Powerless and unable to do anything.

Back on her own trouble seemed to track her down. Sure she knew the streets of Uldah but she didn't like them. The last few years this city and the surrounding areas were all that she knew. Her memory still evading her as to why she left home and out of fear she refused to look back. The fates however can be cruel when you are already down. The same group that she had met with in her travels crossed her path again down one of the many side streets. Not giving her the chance to fight back this time a cheap shot swiftly took her out and Lorraine would wake some time after to find herself in a crate. The feeling of dread was suffocating on it's own. Being trapped in a crate with only muffled noises from the outside. Bound and gagged in a dark crate, she knew to expect the worse. Heck being left here to slowly die wasn't out of the question either.

Though cruel.. it seemed her fate was not to stay in her prison forever or even find out where the actual destination of her confines was bound for. A inspection check at Aleport earned her freedom once more. Leading the inspection of the cargo ship was a Seawolf by the name of Thosinharr. The inspect was for illegal goods they had gotten word of but finding Lorraine in one of the crates seemed to trail t one of their trafficking investigations. Either way.. she found herself soon enough in the bustling port city of Limsa. Once more having to start from nothing. Though a bit timid by this point and down right defeated Thosinharr never let her give up. The sea green Roegadyn edging her on. She had little else to turn to in her life as she was taken under the care of Thosinharr . In time she learned it was far easier to just call him Grey instead.

Lorraine was not a quitter though.. beat up a bit and major trust issues included she managed, with help, to pull herself back to her feet. Odd jobs once more till she landed one at the Red Rooster Stead. This was her more steady line of work. Mostly running errands and walking the roads to deliver cargo from the stead. This was also where she would meet two dear friends. Though by this time in her life she had taken on a new name and appearance. Hiding her former self made her feel safer then anything else. Dawning the name of Salvius she dressed and hid herself as a male and tried to find her path and feet to walk it.

Adulthood:

Lorraine kept her job with the Red Rooster Stead, the people there has been good to her over the years even with her hiding who she was from everyone. A select few knew her real name and gender but it mattered little. She felt safer this way and as far as she was concerned things could stay like this. The farm was where she got her first chocobo, a dark red chick that was given the name Zeek by one of the Hyurs. He'd be taught for carrying supplies and the carts. Though over time the bo stopped listening to anyone but Lorraine. After she fended off the stead from bandits with a wood cutting axe it was suggested she should join the Malestrom to make better use of her abilities and to get proper training. She was a bit against leaving after the attack but it was assured that patrols would be in the area more often till the pirate issue was resolved.

Zeek was given to Lorraine after she left. She received a letter demanding she take the restless bo and to worry about paying the Stead back for it later. The last part only tacked on because taking anything for nothing wasn't something she seemed able to do. Things seemed to finally be going in a proper direction. She even managed to make two friends, well one she had known from several visited to the Red Rooster Stead and the other was a Seawolf. Florina was a young midlander woman trying to learn the ways of the summoner while Simic was a recruit in Lorraine's rank. Florina knew of the secret Lorraine kept but she was a close friend who kept pushing her to carry on. The young woman always having her head in the clouds daydreaming about marrying this Duskwight that often came on the cargo ships. Someone that at the time Lorraine wouldn't have dreamed she'd call friend one day.

Alas peace did not hold steady for long. Early in Lorraine's training disaster struck when Florina and Lorraine found themselves trapped against the cliff edge in Outter La Noscea. Florina had pleaded and begged for Lorraine to travel out there with her to study the ruins. A talk that finally ended with Lorraine giving in and tagging along. Florina still being new to summoning couldn't call forth anything strong enough to protect her and Lorraine was already doing everything in her power to push back the coeurl. The battle ended swiftly though the damage was done already with a fatal wound to Florina. To this day there is a small stone marker off to the side that is easily missed with a symbol of a carbuncle wrapped around a book engraved on it.

Things eventually settled back down and by the time Simic knew his roommate wasn't the gender he thought. Not that the news changed anything. Lorraine worried about it more then the green roe did. Still with everything that had happened she dropped from the Maelstrom ranks and retreated a bit to one of the small fishing towns in Thanalan. Of course .. she couldn't get much peace there either. Somehow getting wrapped up in a pirate group. A weird one to boot. They didn't really steal anything, it would be a more proper term to call them sea loving adventurers. But the group was something that did Lorraine a lot of good, even if she was still hiding her true self. To this day she holds a fair number of the people she met back then close to her but contacts have waned.

The group didn't stick together for long and without much warning Lorraine was dragged off by someone who knew of her secret. A Midlander Hyru female by the name of Llaine Tetheros. She had made quick friends with Lorraine during the time she was in Uldah years back. She spouted off how she wanted to defend the weak and bragged about her title as the crimson knight or something. Titles were about pointless things. Still being pleaded and begged Lorraine agreed to help with this makeshift group of knights. Going as far as to talk to a few of the adventurers she had met with the Pirate group. This seemed like the more promising path in life. All the way till she found their station would be in Coerthas. She didn't want to be this close to home knowing the terms she left on. Though bits of her memory still seemed lost there was that nagging feeling that walking back home wasn't a option.

The Spiral Eye Knights. With little warning Lorraine found herself in charge of the defense and training of the knights. She really wanted no part in the fighting and would rather get back to focusing her energy on the craft passed down to her by her father. But that seemed like it had to wait. Training some of the recruits was a task on it's own. Most were not ready for combat let alone being sent out on their own. To this day any that were lost when Llaine's trouble followed her to the knights Lorraine blames herself for. With the thoughts that she could have prevented the death. Though Now she has nothing but anger for the young Hyur. Sending others to do her work and knowing they would likely fail. Disbanding the knights after she recalled any and all she could Lorraine explained the situation, though by this time they had went from twenty strong to a mere five.

Once more Lorraine found herself back in Limsa where she went to work for the smith guilds. The assumption was that she was just another adventurer and had no business with the tools. Something she quickly proved wrong. Simic at the least was glad she came back and often bothered her for repairs. It was some time after coming back to the port city that she found herself in contact by a Miq'ote spouting off some business about Ishgard exiles. She herself was no exile, heck Lorraine wasn't either. Minus that she left, that alone appeared to be a crime. She joined with this group for a short period but eventually broke herself from the contact. Asking for trouble was not something she wanted. Though.. trouble still seemed to follow her.

She got rumors of some skilled lancer in the north. The description made her heart sink as she made the rash choice to go and seek out the rumor that her lost sibling was alive. Of course she ventured forth to confront this lancer. Either to find her lost sibling or to demand why the impostor was spreading rumor about the lost around. Though.. this was no rumor or fake trying to slander her brother's name. Her first trip to the frozen wastes of Coreathas ended up with her face to face with a shell

Training

Salfaceimg3.png

Marauder:

This weapon and fighting style was learned out of necessity to keep herself safe and those around her while she was working back on the Red Rooster Stead. It started with a wood cutting axe that she used on a few bandits that tried to raid a wagon that she was charged with walking to it's destination. She had spent a few years working with the axe as a mere tool.. the fight with the bandits opened a new path that she felt almost ashamed she didn't think of before. Though even with some proper training and working with the Marauder Guild in Limsa Lorraine still tries to avoid fighting. Though skilled with the greataxe most do not know her for her skills with the weapon. Though those close to her know just what she can do with the overly large axe she carries when she is backed into a corner or angered.

Lancer:

Lorraine has just enough skill with the lance to be able to use it in combat. This is her go to back up weapon if her axe is out of reach or some other mishap leaves her without her main weapon of choice. Anything she knows about the lance is from her elder brother Rique teaching her. She looked up to him in her youth and at one point she thought about trying to follow in his footsteps. Though that didn't last for long she still uses some of the techniques that were taught to her to this day with other weapons.

Blacksmith/Armorsmith:

Smithing was something that Lorraine grew up doing. Her father was well known and as a child she loved to help out in the forge. Though this started out with her fascination of the bomblings that her father trained to aid in the work but the love for the flame grew as she got older and understood more of the work that was going on. She is very skilled with a hammer and strives to better herself when given the chance. Though her name is not known as her father's was she still refuses to give up her dreams.Lorraine takes her work in the forge to heart and strives to make the best weapons and armor possible. She was reminded some time ago when she was going through a rough spot in her life that she holds lives in her hands. Her work could be the difference between life and death, producing a poor piece of work is not an option.

Woodcutter:

Though it is not commonly known Lorraine worked for some time under a older Hyur in Uldah. During this period she toyed at posing as a young lad just to save questions and to keep under the radar where she had run from home. Her skills are limited and at most she can manage some repairs but never the less she has some experience in this field of work.

Culinary:

Cooking is more of a side hobby that Lorraine enjoys like none other. If she wasn't good at the smithy then she'd probably go on to be a cook for a living. Though that being said she takes a particular care when she is fixing food. The odd thing is she is not overly picky and never talks down on others about their skills as a cook or how well or not well a meal turns out. Though giving pointers or tips is not beyond her either.

Relationships

Current Partner/Romantic Interest     Crush/Platonic Love/Deep Affection      Former Lover     Good Standing     Neutral     Poor Standing

Friends & Allies:

Natya Rudh: Formerly someone that Lorraine had learned to call Captain. This woman she also owes a great deal to as she was the only one who managed to talk her out of her fear of failure in her job as a vanguard. After the company was disbanded the two kept in slight contact with one another, brief at best. She did offer her help, on her terms, to teach her the maruarder combat style instead of sending her to the guild. Though he fought with her tooth and nail more commonly then not she is still a trusted ally if she was asked no matter what her background was.

Koumoru Doumoru: A Lalafell lancer, met randomly in the Black Shroud area along with the odd group she was with at the time. Due to a small encounter on the road when the two were traveling a sort of mutual respect was formed between the two. Lorraine still recalls the strange Lalafell taking a interest in the poorly crafted armor she was in at the time. Though for a while they kept in contact, it slowly seemed to die off over time.

Minawa Doumoru: A very odd Lalafell, needs to get her head out of the books and have a look at the world about her more. Accused her of stealing the armor she wore and then continued to question her on the scars on her face. Some story she told her she didn't believe as she said he shouldn't have to put up with someone beating him in a relationship. Of course not knowing Lorraine was female. All of this came from a simple asking of directions. This particular Lalafell is also one of the few she doesn't mind as she seems clueless to the world, much like a curious child. One of the few to give her a nickname she has never had before "Eggbert" as she cheerfully stated if she ever got a chocobo she would name him that after she had talked Sal into carrying her from The Coin and Coffer to Ul'dah.

X'yandih Haillenarte: A summoner in training and someone who she may have known from his past. She seemed to have trouble with her summons once in a while but as far as a summoner goes she's a decent one. Commonly has a bodyguard with her and is in a cheerful mood. Though there are dark secrets hidden under that smile, a few that the two had spoken about in private. Not too much is known about her otherwise though she never bothered to pry either. Half looks at her like a younger sister with the age difference and her actions reminding her a bit of a child at times.

Thrylos Elpida: X'yandih's bodyguard and friend. He is close to his charge at all times and says very little unless needed. Very formal and straightforward. Almost overly protective of his charge. Though either the two are blind to it or have no idea on how to express their feelings it's easy to tell how close Thrylos is to X'yandih. Never the less a fine gladiator.

Emelin Souledge: Constantly worried about her fashion. They were on a mission together and the girl was more worried about the torn boot she had then the wounds upon her body. Also a childhood friend of X'yandih's. Besides being fashion crazed she is normal enough to be around, save the bit of Aeither weakness she has to being near large amounts of the stuff.

Florina Lorlum: A dear never forgotten friend of her past. A young to be summoner that was over ambitious for her own good. This ambition nearly got them both killed when a summon spell went horribly wrong. To this day Lorraine still goes to her grave site just to catch up on the times and to settle his own mind that to this day questions if she could have done more back then.

Thalion Lorlum: A close friend, though hard to get a hold of. Generally can be found mining in various parts of the lands further proving that sitting still is not his strong suit. The two of them often speak of the past but only the better memories. He was the husband of Florina.

Iris Dawnstar: Strange... that is the only word that comes to mind. Seems to be easily distracted.

Sayre Mordio: A blind Wildwood that seems to pick strange allies. Fates have had Lorraine and Sayre meet up more then once. Stays near the Shroud area seeing as that is where his home is. Likes to talk even if he has told Lorraine in the past that he doesn't often talk to others. She is rather intrigued by this character given his disability.

Corwin Eldred: A childhood companion of Lorraine's, a son of a war hero who use to visit her father's forge more often then not. They grew up together and were rather close even given the different backgrounds, mainly being that he was a noble. She hadn't seen him in all of the years she had spent away from home. Actually she had forgotten about him due to the blow to her head when she did leave. Though the lasp in memory did not remain forever, more recently Corwin seemed to stumble upon Lorraine in Ul'dah while she was picking up a shipment. Though his cover of being a stranger was short lived as she remembered who he was shortly after they started their travels back to Limsa.

Simic Guildgaurd: A Seawolf Roe, also a long time friend of Lorraine's. One of the few that knew of her little stunt of posing as a male, rather one of the first to know. The two were room mates for a while to split the costs of bills and to keep the pair of them from having to live in some box somewhere. He later went on to become a warrior after finding the blokes who murdered his parents, though the two still keep in touch and he even 'helps' with her Marauder classes she once held.

Kiht Jakkya: A strange little Miq'ote. Leading the Ishgardian Exiles due to her own reasons. Lorraine doesn't speak with her much, Kiht offered her protection and help but to say the least Lorraine seems to have that covered by her own skills or by those who are around her.

SwygynWyzn Thosinsyn: A odd Roe. Almost to the point of being overly friendly upon their first encounter where she proceeded to attempt to shoo him off swearing her leg was fine. He was the first one to show any form of so called kindness and concern for her in over a year after her troubles started with swirling rumors. She cannot put her finger on what he aims to achieve from helping her and despite her own beliefs she refuses to accept he really wants nothing in return. They do have a agreement in once her owing him a cooked meal though once she is able. As stated.. an odd Roe indeed. Though spending a fair bit of time around the strange yet hardheaded roe seemed to lead to her warming up to him. A feat on it's own she still refused to to take his word for much of anything till a date was suggested. A jest was her first thought as she humored the idea and went along with the proposed date. What she wasn't expecting was for the 'date' to actually go well and not be a joke or some form of piety. Though she still has a bit of opening up to do towards Swyg he's still the only one that's been brave or bold enough to ask her out, let alone get yes as their answer. The first date lead to them being together for a few years before she ended up scared off. The sudden proposal from Swyg lead to her up and disappearing from the Shroud for a few years. Though the fates seemed to have other plans in mind with her path crossing his once more and the two appear to be together again. Maybe without her retreating this time.

Will Erhardt: A random mage Lorraine met when a friend of hers told her to meet someone in the Silver Bazaar. Going there with the plans of working out some metal trade that was obviously a set up. He was nice enough, not someone she expects to run into a second time.

Miune Steadhal: A traveler that she met with at the armorsmith guild. He was in need of armor repair and to have the animal printed leather replaced on the armor. Lorraine agreed to carrying out this task for him. He interests her a bit in that she understands him. He seems to be how she was when she left home. Even more interesting to her is that he was near her home city. He's turned into a fast friend to her and seems to come to her when he needs to talk. He wanted to learn metal working, it was brought up in passing that she could teach him.

K'yomi Astrina: Miune's traveling companion and healer. A bit of a live wire even if Miune first said that she was shy around new people. She seems to try to motivate Miune to do better or try. That or she just enjoys picking at him. Lorrine leans more towards the latter. She enjoys the company of the chatty Miqo'te.

Luyah Nova: A sell sword looking for work. She was seeking a armor smith in Limsa when she stumbled upon Lorrine. The two ended up speaking and sitting down to a friendly drink. It was discovered soon after they were in the same free company. Apparently the young woman was from Ala Mhigo, the two exchanged stories on how different Limsa was compared to where they hailed from.

Donohebo Honohebo: A Lalafell, male for the record. One of the nurses to Swyg and apparently has plans to open a few classes to teach others to heal. Friendly enough. Can't hold his drinks worth a lick.

Estrellza Vallis: The stable keeper at the Pathfinder company house. Lori crossed paths with her at the Drowning Wench as well as a few others from the Company. The two got into a conversation about how troublesome Zeek has been as of late and est offered to have a look at the dark red bo. Almost to the point of being excited to meet him.

Lyall Steadhal: Some youngin swearing up and down that Miune is his papa. Lorrine still thinks that the young one has hit his head a few too many times with spouting out things about another realm and this and that. Just odd things. Sad thing is that he wouldn't be the first to go talking about crazy thoughts such as this.

Josias Colburn: A traveler, not too much to say about this one. Given the young woman was lost in the Shroud while Lorraine had encountered Lyall for a second time. She traveled with them for a short spell while they did as Lyall put 'good deeds'. Simple tasks about the area. Though Josias was only really in it for the gil it seems as once the task was done she parted ways with the small group.

Okhi Lyehga: A tall Roegadyn female, one of the officers to the company Pathfinders. Though she has not crossed paths often it appears the woman did well enough to remember Lorraine's name during the few years she took leave of the company. Prying a bit as if to find out why she came back. Generally Lorraine is not one for people prying into her business but there is little to be done about it when someone hits the nail on the head.

Glazwyb Grimgrinawyn: A Roegadyn, seawolf would be Lorraine's first guess. Meeting the tall Roe in the Gold Saucer when she had taken the 'kiddos' out. She had seen the woman a few times around the company house and thought it was better to stay out of her way. Though the woman seems to have a strong and quick tempered disposition Lorraine doesn't feel she is someone to fear unless you are trying to interfere on purpose.

Nahlulu Hallu: A female Lalafell.. appears to be part of the Pathfinder company as well. Not too much to say about her or the other that traveled with her. Other things were going on at the time and focus on new faces was distracted at best.

Toka Zoroka: Seemed to be traveling with Nahlulu or maybe the other way around. Also not much is known about the Lalafell. Maybe at a later date they can speak more in detail.

Ariawyn Ferrand: Met the woman in passing, a brief conversation that was disrupted by Miune at the time. Apparently she is one of the nurses at the clinic. Lorrine doesn't seem to mind the woman, a bit soft spoken perhaps.

Tessa Let: A young Lalafell female, Miune seemed to greet her after a small introduction to the company. Seems a bit on the shy side and worried about being a burden if she cannot make gil.

Jerciex Lanquairt: One of the officers to Pathfinder. Well spoken and seems friendly enough. Though they have only met in passing.

Enemies:

Llaine Tetheros: Once a childhood friend and Commander of the Knights of the Spiral eye, now is someone that Lorraine would rather slam into the wall and demand answers. Knights went missing and she did nothing about it besides send more to their deaths. A actions that Lorraine says was unnecessary when they had more seasoned fighters at their disposal. Though she hasn't seen Llaine in a long while, not after leaving the order of knights after a small groups of them waited months for word from their Commander.

Rique Dunois: Thought dead for years, Lorraine's past seemed to come back to haunt her with his return. Murdering both of their parents and nearly fulfilling the same fate for Lorraine. He vanished after the cold-blooded act and hasn't been heard from sense. Due to his actions Lorraine was blamed for her father's death, when he went missing, with being in the wrong place at the wrong time. She cares little about why he did it or what happened to cause him to be in such a state. Her once proud brother, aspiring to become a legendary Dragoon.. his mind no longer seems to be his own. Upon tracking him down she proceeded to engage her lost sibling in combat with only two outcomes. Luckily she managed to get the upper hand in the fight and win. But at what cost...

Companions:

Zeek: The hyper active and overly affectionate dalamud red chocobo that Lorraine helped raise back when she worked at the Red Rooster Stead. The bird seems to ignore most orders and darts off doing what it pleases unless it's rider raised her voice to a certain tone. Often found tormenting whatever wildlife it can find with poor results on it's part. A number of times the bird has come to it's rider's aid though, both in and out of combat. Zeek and how he acts gave away to a few who Lorraine was as they knew her by her male persona.

Brulure: The name meaning scald in common tongue. Bru was the nickname Lorraine gave the drake hatchling that refused to let her out of it's sight upon hatching. The first thought was to kill the little beast but something made her hold back that blow. A loyal and rather tame drake seems to be what this young one is growing into. Already having repaid it's dept to Lorraine by aiding Zeek in saving her from Rique. Normally Bru will stay far out of sight knowing it's kind is not often taken well, oddly the creature seems a bit on the shy side and hardly minds avoiding the attention.

Lana: A young lamb that's kept Lorraine company for a long while. A runt of the flock to say the least. More often then not Lana is left behind when Lorraine goes off traveling or away on business. Lana and Zeek were both born to the Red Rooster Stead, the pair seem to get along when left to their own. Though Lana seems to be the brighter of the two and attempts to advise Zeek of his mischief, or goes to find Lorraine in order to do so.

Vasto: A elderly cheery bombling that once belonged to Lorraine's father. Back home they had three trained bombs that were used to aid in the forge. Vasto followed Lorraine when she first fled from home. A number of times she tried to dismiss the rogue bombling back but it refused to listen to her. Vasto has a mild temper and seems to be very protective if someone ventures too close to where Lorraine keeps her tools and work supplies. Fire crystals seem to be it's favorite food but the spicy dragon pepper is a close second on the list.

Gem: The little Coblyn Larva ended up in a shipment of raw materials that Lorraine received one time. It was suggested to kill it or just dump the creature in the wilds but each time the latter was attempted the larva would proceed to latch onto either Lorraine or Zeek to prevent being left. More common then not Gem is found sleeping near the raw metals and stones kept about or on a desk where she is often mistaken as a paperweight.

Lemon: A frail and small boned pink parrot that a friend thought Lorraine needed with some words that she didn't interact enough with others and the company was needed. Lemon is loud and prone to blurting out curse words if provoked a bit. Probably learned from Lorraine cursing a few times while working. Every so often Lemon can be heard singing a relaxing song that she probably copied from a bluebird or some other song bird that was heard that day.

Phila: A young Elbst that Lorraine stumbled on as a hatchling. Seemed to be a runt or left behind as she tried to seek out the tribe near where she found the creature. She was told basic information on how to care for the creature and told to return when it was fully grown. Surprisingly even with webbed feet Phila is a good climber and has been told a number of times to be down from the curtains or off of the sofa. The real fight comes when the bath is in use and Philatakes it upon herself to take over the tub hissing in her defense.

Wheiskaet: Presently black kitten that Swyg presented to her as a gift. The playful little scamp likes sneaking out of the room at the Company house. More often then not Lorraine can be heard fussing at the furry creature for getting in the way or laying in the middle of where she was working. Damned fur-ball is the common name she is called. Though thoughts of a proper name lead Lorraine to combining what Swyg had suggested with her own idea. Wheiskaet meaning Soft Shadow. Fitting as the little kitten follows one or the other of them around almost at all times.

Family:

Salfather.jpg

Garen Dunois; father: Blacksmith that worked in Coerthas, under the House of Haillenarte. Well enough known for his handwork in the craft but not known too far outside of the area. Kept to himself and mainly did work on gear and repairs needed to defend from the never ending onslaught of dragons that are faced. Stubborn to the point of being hardheaded. Can be a bit brash when challenged but a hard worker none the less.

Salmother.jpg

Chenelle Dunois; mother: Healer by trade, using a mix of healing magic and old herbal remedies in her work. She is blind in both eyes after a mishap during a routine patrol route. Normally kind hearted and forgiving she does have her limits that you do not want to cross. Though her loss of eyesight made raising two children rather difficult she always kept pushing forward to do the best she was able to do for her family. (Dead)

Salsibling.jpg

Rique Dunois; elder sibling: Lesser Dragoon but hardly a novice, his skills with a lance are almost unrivaled. Has a bit of a ego and as such is very full of himself. His tongue is almost as sharp as the weapon he carries with him. Took no interest in the trade that his father had as he took up arms to fight in the dragon war. Though he has been missing for quite a few years before being sighted again.. (Dead)

Recent Happenings

Finally mustering the will to return home to see what had become of the area she had once called home Lorraine returned to the Coerthas area. Though having been gone for so long there seemed to be a good number of changes she was unprepared for. The weather had changed, landscape. It seemed everything she once knew was gone from the area. This statement was more truth then she knew as she made her way towards home. Though the bloodbath she found there was not what she was expecting to encounter... let alone the one standing there seeming to boost of his work he had done. It seems her lost sibling was not as lost as what was once thought. It wasn't the same Rique she had known in her youth though, he had changed. There seemed to be more beast left of him rather then the older sibling that she had grown up with and grieved over when he was declared missing. Of course this encounter resulted in a fight between the two siblings. A fight that she nearly lost. If it wasn't for Zeek being near-by as well as the young drake hatchling that had grown enough to deliver a decent sized bite to Rique's leg forcing him to back off before the final blow.

Though this just left her in the worse position possible as the blood was still fresh and she had been 'missing' from the area from the age of sixteen. Now here she was with a drake at her side, covered in blood and at the scene where her parent's corpses were. Lorraine's good luck seemed to follow through as a few road patrols seemed to see someone run off from the small building and decided to investigate. The drake alone was enough proof they needed as to her guilt in this. Right away they started spewing out things she had not heard in years let alone lived by while she had distanced herself from this area. Staying to try and defend herself in this was not a option. Managing to break away from the patrol's watchful eye Lorraine found herself once more in the Shroud with a heavy weight on her heart. Mainly thoughts that she could have done something if she had been there.

Knowing she wasn't a match for her sibling just yet she had to accept that she'd have to wait to carry out her revenge. Crazed or not she could not allow him to go on drawing breath if he was slaughtering innocents. something told her that their parents were not the only victims of her brother's spear. Till her wounds recovered and she could find a means of defeating him in his maddened state she would have to distract herself with other means. Determined to pose more of a threat to him upon their next encounter she right away dived back into training her own skills in the smith crafts. The battle would not end the same way twice. Though in taking up her crafts again she started from the basics and worked back up. Taking on her father's branding whenever she forged a weapon or armor. A branding that was once if not still well known to the House of Haillenarte.

((In dire need of updating heh))

It had been years when Lorraine last bothered to take step in the Lavender Beds. She had avoided it like no other. Fear grasping her more then anything and wanting to avoid any further pain then what she was already in. She should have turned to find help but her stubborn mind told her that she could find her lost friend. Simic being as close to family as she had left anymore, save her father all the way in Ishgard. Of course.. this trip of hers to seek either revenge or to find what happened to her missing friend did not end as it should have. Wounded Lorraine ended up getting her leg beat up to the point where she had to rest on the bridge just down the way of Wineport. Sure she knew the ferry worker was worried about her and she kept brushing him off saying she'd get up in a moment. Her words were ignored as a healer was called in from the Maelstrom. Fates seemed hardly done with toying with her emotions.

Of all the healers.. it was SwygynWyzn Thosinsyn that showed up. From what she was told Tal, a close friend of Swyg's, had gotten the message from the ferry worker and passed word along. Lorraine was not in a good state by any means. Her one true friend gone, and the lover she had run away from here before her. Surely there was one of the gods getting a good laugh off of her about now. Still she tried to stand and be stubborn that she was fine. Even with Swyg shedding a few tears at merely seeing her. She didn't have the energy to fight for long though, giving up and letting him tend to the wound. Getting a bit of a laugh that it was the same leg and through the years they'd meet like this again. Reluctantly she agreed to going back to the Company house with him. A place she had avoided for some time.

After talking things seemed to just fall back into place. Like nothing was wrong or that she had never thrown the ring presented to her in the face of the one person she cared about the most. Still doubting herself and placing the blame on her shoulders she agreed to staying. A second try, something she thanks Swyg for almost everyday. He had shown up when she had needed him the most, in her weakest state of not being able to do anything to prevent yet another life slipping away from her.

After some time together things really did rework back into place. Much to the point where she finally agreed to taking up a room in the Company house and letting Swyg set the clinic up to have a small forge area in the back so she didn't have to travel for her work. Though the so called room seems to be her forever battle.. Not that things are really that simple. Her past seeming to haunt her still even with the thoughts of planning the long awaited wedding that she finally said yes to. Her thoughts torment her that something will happen, a dreaded feeling that she can't shake and that has never been wrong in the past.
