Ringo Shiro
[edit]
RINGO SHIRO (Pronunciation: Ring-go Shee-ro), is a former wanderer. He would travel about and save whoever he can, the best he can. Be it a request someone placed in a Leve or a call for help, Ringo will be one of the first to respond to it (for better or for worse). Nowadays, he is a simple family man who still does leves for work so that he can support his wife and two children.
Ringo is a five fulms, eleven ilms tall Midlander hyur with messy brown hair. He has a lean but muscular physique like a swimmer's that has various scars and evidence of his various adventures, having a notable slash on his left waist from a scuffle with a voidsent and minor burns on his upper body and shoulders that have since healed. In terms of styling, Ringo traverses the land in either an armored coat or light armor, both for the sake of protection but also ease of mobility instead of wearing full out heavy armor like his compatriots or those who fight in the styles that Ringo does. Though as of late, he placed his coat and light armor together with the help of his Free Company companion, Forge Fighter. When not working, Ringo wears a simple white t-shirt and brown pants with sandals or shoes.
Ringo is a naturally protective sort, willing to protect anyone who calls for protection...though this can lead to him being more than a touch overprotective and a bit of a worry wart when he does express his concerns. The best way to describe it is that he has Chronic Hero Syndrome and will go out if someone is in need of saving or defense of some kind. He tends to go the safe route...in regards to most other people. The result of this, however, is that he really takes it hard if he has failed to help someone or change a situation for the better. While he has been getting better about it, he is still a touch reckless to his own safety. He has been working hard to temper it down since he wants to be there for his wife and he doesn't want his kids to be fatherless but one can tell he is thinking about how much he can get away with letting himself get hurt when he is in a fight. Speaking of fights, Ringo might not be a genius but he is a hardworker and on the fly thinker in tight situations. He trains everyday in the morning and practices ideas and tricks since he knows that there are a lot of strange things out in Eorzea and he needs to prepare for them if he wants to protect his family, the Free Company he serves, and the civilians. He shows a willingness to learn and while it is up in the air if he has the aptitude for learning, he is willing to practice and see what he can do.

Ringo initially learned the way of the sword by spending a few turns in the Gladiator Guild in Ul'dah. There he would learn the basics of how to use a sword and shield, skills that would only advance under the eye of a skilled Free Paladin. He would later abandoned the shield for just the blade upon having doubt about his ability to save others as a Paladin and came across the dark for better or for worse. Overtime, his desire to protect has become strong enough to carry light in one hand and dark in the other as he journey on forth. He shows decent talent with the sword and has only, pardon the pun, sharpened it with constant practice and study. This has allowed Ringo to create his own free-style swordsmanship. Like most self-taught swordsmanship, they're things that work and things that really don't that he is still sorting out. It's unrefined, but for now it works. Slightly more refined is the atherical arts he has learned from his experiences as a Paladin and a Dark Knight. Ringo is by no means a skilled mage or a mage for that matter since most of his skills don't require a casting time but he has since gained an affinity from creating barriers, be they made of his light aether or dark aether or unaspected, to project his desire to protect upon his charges. Like any other Dark Knight, he can empower himself with the dark aether created from his negative or powerful emotions, giving him increased durability and strength. However, he has developed a new method that further increases this boost by a margin. By fusing the light aether and the aether from his darkside together to form unaspected aether he can then use to empower himself akin to a Paladin's Shield Oath, to better withstand attacks (Making just about every Arcanist in the realm internally screaming seeing as how it'd be just easier just creating unaspected aether). By fusing this aether with his sword, he can enhance its cutting power but seeing as how Ringo is a defensive fighter and aims to injure rather than kill outright, he rarely uses this simulation of Sword Oath. It should be noted that due to some thought, he rarely fights with in this method of fusing aether any more. With increased self-exploration and resolve, however, he has obtained new power in the form of his Oaths as a Paladin. Instead of mixing his elements, he divides them among-st his Oaths, forming the power of Light Oath and Dark Oath. By focusing his dual aethers into those Oaths, he uses his affinity without having to risk harming himself with his haphazard method of creating unaspected aether. His Light Oath is his Shield Oath, all of his attacks in this state is imbued with the light element. His Dark Oath is his Sword Oath, all of his attacks in this state is dark elemental in nature with Shield Toss replaced with Unmend, Holy Spirit replaced with Dark Passenger, Hallowed Ground replaced with Blackest Night, and Requirescat becomes Bloodsplitter.
Here is a list of recent and/or notable fights, roleplay scenes, etc. that CHARACTER has been a part of. This list is by no means all inclusive, and serves more as a general reference as to what HE/SHE has been up to.
The content of Othard fell under the shadow of the Garlean Empire. In time to see the border of his home nation, a traveler by the name of Tsuneo Shiro saw the fall of the land he called his home. The lone man and few others had to find a way to safety. Some stayed hidden in Hinageshi. Some sailed outwards. Tsuneo chose the latter and traversed to a land unknown called Eorzea. It was there he met a hyur from the forest in the ports of Limsa. They fell in love and decided to let their newborn child be raised within the Shroud that rested Gridania. Ringo Shiro grew up a simple child. He would play with the other children, learn about how to respect the forest, steal honey so he could share with his friends much to the chagrin of his parents, the beekeepers, and so on. It was during that time he met another one who escaped from the fall of Othard, Ai Ren. She was there to teach Ringo about the other places she traveled to before reaching and trying to settle in Gridania. However, the desire for days of bliss in the forest could not last...for the fall of Dalamud brought about an end to that closeted peace with its Calamity. The boy awoke to a destroyed landscape. In an instant beyond his control, the disaster destroyed his family, friends, and his home. Ringo could not find a single survivor. Anyone he could find, they were dead, or barely alive but he couldn't help them. It wasn't until he was found by the Twin Adders surverying the area that Ringo and the few that survived the release of Bahamut that they could see tomorrow. Despite being able to make a physical recovery at the Conjury Guild, Ringo couldn't shake what he saw from his mind. The helplessness, the destruction, those he couldn't save until the Twin Adders arrive. All of it came so fast. Out of nowhere. Why? No answer could satisfy Ringo. Gridania felt...empty to him as he stood there, without family, and with a reminder of those he couldn't help. Ringo would attempt to go into Conjury but he had little talent for it. There was also that...tinge of uneasiness upon finding out that the healing that comes from seeking aid of the Elementals only comes to those who the Elementals want to help. With the image of the Calamity etched into his mind, he couldn't tolerate the idea of helping only those the Elementals wanted to help. He wanted to help everyone he could. Discarding his short time as a Conjuror, Ringo packed up his belongings and decided to venture outwards to see Eorzea...to see the people he hoped to help and learn how to help them. His first trip was to Limsa Lominsa. There he worked a turn as a fishing salesman and there he met Kaito Nagano, it was a casual friendship at first but little did he know that Ringo connected with someone who he'd refer to as a brother later. After receiving some gil and considered his options, he sailed to Vesper bay. From there, he would travel to Ul'dah, home of the Coliseum, where he could learn the way of the sword and shield. In the span of a few turns, Ringo has achieved some minor success as a swordsman learning from the Coliseum and as an adventurer, taking on leves and helping those in Thanalan. As he journeyed, he would meet and become a student of a wandering Free Paladin by the name of Nina who bestowed a Paladin Soul Crystal upon him when he completed his training. With knowledge of the sword and the desire to protect, he set out to the vast Realm of Eorzea with the promise to defend all that he sees before him...

Overall, I'm pretty chill as far as guidelines go. I don't have an extensive list of 'Do's or 'Don't's or things that I personally find triggering. So chances are, you won't offend me or make me uncomfortable unless you're trying to or just being really skeevy in general. Still, for the sake of making sure everyone's on the same page here, let me make a few mentions in particular:
