GENERAL INFORMATION
Romidant Diarmi (Pronunciation: raw-me-dant dee-ar-me), is the daughter of a Gridanian botanist (father) and an Ala Mhigan lancer (mother.) Raised by her father, she followed in his footsteps to become a wandering botanist. Events in her life lead to her studying martial arts - she can wield a bow and lance with equal ease, but her true skill lies in barehanded combat. After the Calamity, when she and so many others were sent forward in time, she lost her taste for fighting and turned to healing instead.
APPEARANCE
At a glance: Romi looks and acts like a typical hedgewitch healer: pointy hat, broom, no outward manifestations of her connection to the elements.
Build: She is tall for an elezen woman, and somewhat slender and soft-looking. This is deceptive, as there is solid muscle underneath the softness, as many an opponent has found to their chagrin.
Skin: Her skin is a dark chocolate color, marred only by minor scarring typical of a botanist (travelling through thorny bushes without sleeves) and several major scars. Her scars usually end up being a shade or two darker than her base coloration.
Hair: Her hair is such a deep black that it has blue highlights.
Eyes: Her right eye is a dark blue, similar in color to an arctic ocean; her left eye however, is ice blue. She has a scar that crosses her left eye from forehead to cheek and is the cause for the color difference. While trauma caused the color to change, she can still see out of it, but her peripheral vision was affected.
Clothing/Armor: Typically, Romi wears a riviera dress, leather boots, and some sort of pointy hat. If she knows a situation calls for a more hands on approach (i.e. a fist fight) she will opt for looser clothing she can move easily in.
PERSONALITY
Loyal. Kind. Adjective.
Nature. Romi was born and raised a botanist, with a reverence for the natural world instilled at an early age. Dancing. Whether by herself or with others, dancing allows her to experience the same thrill of movement she feels when practicing her martial arts. Stories. She likes to listen to people tell their story and share their histories. |
False accusations. It doesn’t matter if it’s a figure of authority or a beggar, she will come to the defense of the wrongly accused. Lies. Lies are a betrayal of her trust, and while one or two are not enough to make her turn away from someone, continuing to lie to her will. |
Loyalty. She will stand firm against anything, especially in defense of those she holds dear. Bravery. Some would say she is foolhardy, but when you’ve faced down raging primals and dragons? Very little fazes her anymore. Compassion. One of her basic tenets is ‘Everyone is a person.’ She doesn’t like killing if she doesn’t have to. |
