GENERAL INFORMATION CELESTE DELACROIX (Pronunciation: seh-lest deh-luh-kwAA), is a Raen whose life seems to be under a shroud of mystery. Very little is known about this small framed, energetic lass. Wheres she came from, where she is going, all unknowns. What little information there is on her is derived solely from her speech and actions. It’s as if she didn’t exist until reaching Eorzea, where she tries to blend in yet stands out with her odd clothing, stature, and way of talking. Recent times seem to have found her retiring from life out at sea, she says were both home and playground for as far back as she can seem to remember. Her actions do beg to differ and has been found questionable. Now, she spends her time exploring the vast land of Eorzea as a wandering explorer trained in combat, which is a new experience for her in its entirety. She has no concrete home because of her constant traveling, but she regularly stays at the inn at Quicksand in Ul’dah, only because of her fascination with the different types of people that come and go. It seems that she has two close brothers, whom she speaks fondly of on every occasion, but have not been seen as of yet. APPEARANCE Celeste is of middling height for a young female Raen, with a petite build and feminine features. This enables her to be flexible in combat and move around very swiftly. Her skin is a deep rich tan with no signs of aging, manual labor, or any type of flaw for that matter. Upon gazing into her wide icey blue eyes rimmed with purple lumbral rings, they are seemingly dull and lifeless—contradicting the exuberant facial expressions she constantly displays. Her lips are almost always pink from her constant lip biting, a habit she has when is thinking or lost in thought. She seldom finds the need for makeup, given her inexperience with the products that seem so alien to her. The constant pink flush of her cheeks comes from constantly smiling, and running around Eorzea in the hot sun. Her hair is as dark as night and typically worn long with a straight cut, or held up in a ponytail. Though as often as she travels, so often does her hair change. At the moment, she decided to dye her hair a reddish tint and grew out her bangs to be tucked behind in a braid. Although seemingly perfect, there goes without saying that there are obvious features that can be found on her body. At a faraway glance, you'll notice two large flat horns in replace of ears, something that she is quite self-conscious about. She has a multitude of ivory scales that frame her face, and trail around her neck, arms, and legs. Because of her love for the feel of the sun and sea breeze-- loose fitting dresses that bare her tanned skin are her favorite, so she has learned to accept her scales and become accustomed to them. PERSONALITY Celeste is the definition of friendly and bold, she’s not afraid to approach someone and start chatting up a storm with her witty tongue. This usually surprises them, especially with the manner of straightforwardness that she carries and how deeply interested she shows to be. She speaks with a West Country accent that comes off very strong when conversing with someone that speaks the same way, and has trouble pronouncing words she’s not familiar with. Being rather simple minded, this makes her very gullible especially when dealing with new areas, people, and ideas. Because of this, she can only pick up subtle hints of mood in the conversation and can’t differentiate when someone is actually serious or just joking. Although that is the case, what she can pick up on is the emotions of a person. She has a weakness for close contact and openly complimenting people, yet has no experience with love—or an affection more than friendship. This makes her innocent and finds nothing wrong with flirting, an act that means no more than a sign of sentiment. Sometimes it backlashes on her, especially when she meets someone more daring than she. Without any moment's notice, she will become extremely shy and try to run away. She is the definition of being total opposite extremes, that contradict each other, constantly changing. Filled with wanderlust and curiosity for the unknown world of Eorzea and its people, she is very unlikely to settle in one spot for long. She is always fidgeting in place, looking for something to do, somewhere to go, or someone to talk to.
