Conrad Steelsong is a man who has lived and breathed war his entire life. Born and raised in the once proud and mighty city-state of Ala Mhigo, he knew only of his nation's rich and powerful heritage - and the lust to conquer any and all who dare show weakness. The ideals set upon him by his family and homeland shaped the man who he would eventually become. A stubborn, prideful bull of a man who showed little mercy and asked for none in return.

As the years went by this raging fire began to dwindle; only to be replaced by a tempered wisdom that sought to better the world around him - rather than make it submit. Conrad walked away from his war path to live a life of relative peace within any hall who would take him - eventually finding stock in Heartwood Ventures; which he currently leads. There he labors to this day; using his skills to forge new heroes to walk the path of glory as he once did. Until the inevitable day comes when the call goes out to take back what was and always will be his home.

Conrad's behavior typically remains constant. In his youth he was aggressive, possessive, and prideful to the point of self destruction. In his current, later years he has calmed substantially. He is incredibly stubborn and foul-mouthed, and still aggressive enough to warrant refraining from provocation. Though his ends are usually for the greater good - even if the people he cares for don't see it right away. He's considered the old dad of Heartwood - a title he absolutely despises.

Friends 💑 No'ulla Khilik - If there is one soul on Hydaelyn who is capable of putting up with Conrad to his fullest - it would be No'ulla. She has a heart as solid and steadfast as her hardworking hands. An artisan at heart, she is the only one for the Ala Mhigan - a pairing that would seem odd to an outside eye. ● Archemides Fontaine - Archemides is Conrad's oldest and most cherished friend - despite being young enough to be considered his son. They've been through countless adventures together, and even more arm wrestling contests. Fairly certain neither of them are allowed back at Buscarron's - and they wouldn't have it any other way. ● Vektis Sol - Vektis has formed a strange bond with the Ala Mhigan. When they first met he absolutely could not stand the Miqo'te, but over time he's seen just how big his heart is for those he cares for. He has always seen potential in the annoying brat, and though he would never -ever- say it out loud; he considers Vektis to be one of his best friends. ● E'kari Sol - Conrad has grown quite close to E'kari since his goddaughter, E'kira, was born. She is currently his student, and has managed to become a wonderful and close friend over the many suns they've known each other. The Miqo'te keeps Vektis grounded, and for that she has his eternal gratitude. ● Nyscera Alarone - Nyscera has not only become a wonderful friend and ally to Conrad; but also his teacher. She was the first who willingly brought him under her wing and taught him the basics of the Samurai way. She will always be a cherished friend to him, despite him not understand why she married Rath. ● Rath Alarone - Rath and Conrad have gone back awhile; to a time where he once called him "Twinkle Toes" and "Noodle Arms". Like Vektis, Conrad couldn't really stand Rath until he eventually grew on him - and now he considers him a good friend, if not a bit childish for his age. ● Namaka Ebisu - Conrad holds a special kind of relationship with the little blue Miqo'te. She is like a sister to him, always able to make him smile and laugh no matter the circumstance. They have been through a lot together, and though time and distance may keep them apart - he never forgets about her. ● Tynos Riller - If you ask Conrad about Tynos, he'll always laugh and recount the story of when he first interviewed the lanky, nerdy Elezen. Since then he's grown to respect the black mage as time goes on, though he'll always see him as a quirky book-worm who buries himself in too much paperwork. ● Bennett Cooper - The Ala Mhigan saw Bennett as a kid who had potential to be something great. He took a liking to him for his plucky attitude and willingness to learn no matter what. Though he still considers the lalafell to be naive to a fault, and groans every time he ends up in trouble. ● Osrick Garanthian - Osrick, like Archemides, is a blood brother to Conrad. They share a similar interest in fighting and always bettering themselves - as well as having a good time when it calls for it. They've since grown apart over the years, but their bond will never be broken.

Acquaintances ● Sakeru Wakeru – Sakeru was always considered an enigma to Conrad. He never could pin him down and figure out his motives. Which made him hesitant to trust the lalafell. Plus he seems to have an obsession with stoves. ● Kaiya Ailbhe - Kaiya and Conrad have a more professional working relationship within Heartwood. Though he will always appreciate the doctor's skills in keeping his friends alive - and having a good rapport with his wife, No'ulla Khilik. ● Reina Sol - Vektis' half sister who Conrad has a decent working relationship with. ● Solid Sequoia - Conrad and Solid have a bit of history that unfortunately became stunted when the Ala Mhigan's ex-lover came back into the picture. Since then, they still occasionally contact each other. ● Yurei Saionji - Conrad has only recently known the Doman shrine maiden, but he has come to admire her knowledge and peaceful aura.
