General Information
Dayir Ura is a man of focused resolve, and intense interest. He travels the world with journal and quill in one hand, and an axe in the other, a self-proclaimed "scholar", though he's never stepped foot in a classroom. He is a man who would just as easily delve into the most dangerous places you could think of, as he could spend a quiet evening or six locked away in his study, delving into ancient texts and pondering over his findings. He believes, with great intensity, that knowledge is best acquired through experience, and so he hunts the next great object of his interest with as much vigor as a single man could manage. Standing at an impressive height, Dayir cuts an imposing figure, but he is neither savage, nor bully. A warm heart beats underneath focused eyes, carrying with it a true desire to understand and learn about everyone around him.

Hair & Eyes
Dayir keeps his hair short, to facilitate ease of travel. The lower maintenance his style can be for him, the better. Parted to both sides, he adds in white highlights merely because they strike his fancy, and they match well with his bright, glowing white limbal rings that dominate his gaze.
Physique & Markings
Dayie keeps the physique that can only mark one who has done extensive travel and training. While not some muscle-bound strongman, Dayir is nonetheless more than strong enough to wield the battleaxe he carries with him. He is lean, and firm, due to his many years spent traveling and hunting. Though he's acquired several scars over the course of his life, he has no significant markings to speak of.
Hygiene & Attire
Dayir's hygiene may vary, depending on where he is at any given moment. It can be difficult to stay clean on a long trip through the Sagolii, for example. He keeps himself presentable, however, once he's home. Dayir takes great care to make certain that he holds himself to a high enough standard, while not being overly narcissistic.
Psychological Profile
Dayir hides much underneath his veil of confidence and upright mannerisms. While he would never be prone to outright change his personality on the fly, much of his past experiences have left a world-weary man in their wake, and it often shows in everything from his gaze, to his anecdotes. Nonetheless, nothing has downtrodden him so far that he loses his sharp wit, and warm heart. Dayir truly takes great joy in studying the world around him, and he strives to protect those who have come to call him friend. If you find an ally in Dayir, you have found a powerful one, rest assured.
Dayir speaks with the tonality of a man with experience under his belt, even though his age wouldn't show it. Deep and rumbling, Dayir is a man of fewer words than most, and each one rings true and meaningful.
Philosophy & Mannerisms
Dayir is well-spoken, and it extends to his manner. Walking tall, Dayir rings with confidence and action, and far prefers moving outside of his comfort zone and tackling something head-on, as opposed to sitting about, deliberating about it. He carries the philosophy that every person is an opportunity, and every soul has a story.

Sixth Astral Era
Dayir's childhood is not a topic he likes to discuss. Perhaps, over a few drinks, and maybe some extremely pleasant conversation, he can be convinced otherwise!

Seventh Umbral Era
His adulthood is much more well-documented. Whatever happened to him in his previous years, Dayir came out of it all with both a renewed vigor, and a general distrust of the world about him. He grew up quickly, and that much is apparent when you speak to him.
Traveling from continent to continent, Dayir began making a name for himself as an explorer, forgoing the standard trappings of the adventurer's life in favor of scouring post-calamity Eorzea, going places where men twice his age would never dare to set foot in, carving out a living by selling and trading artifacts and rare goods that he would acquire in his travels. As he went on, he would document everything he saw in a small, leatherbound journal given to him by an old friend. One journal turned to several, and before he knew it, the simple trailblazer had found himself with a voracious thirst for knowledge of the world around him. It was in his 24th year of life that he published his first book, On the Sagolii Sands, a travel journal depicting his often perilous journey through the hottest desert on the continent, and the discoveries made along the way.

RP Limits
I like to consider myself a flexible player who is willing to commit to a number of different types of scenes and role-play scenarios, but even I have my limits. If something is on the play list, assume it means yes, as long as it's within the context of the current play or ongoing plot. No's are typically a hard no, and it means don't ask.
I will play There is very little that I am not comfortable with. Romantic Roleplay, he is willing for a long-term partner. I am comfortable with Combat, as well as darker themes, including painful stories, and murder. I am willing to RP over Discord, if that's more comfortable to you!
Ask about Cheating; this is more of a personal pain.
I won't play I will not kill Dayir; that will be planned, if it ever occurs.
RP Hooks
While the below is by no means comprehensive, it's a kind of spring board for walk-up RP. Longer plots that are meant to run for more than a few quick RP's, please feel free to send me a tell so we can work out a good reason for our characters to get to know one another. I'm always looking for RP, unless I'm actively spamming PvE content.
■ If your character finds themselves dealing with the arcane, mystical or old, Dayir is likely interested in what you've got going on!
■ If your character adventures, bodyguards, functions as a mercenary, or anything along those lines, Dayir is more than likely to come along, if only for the sake of the journey, and experiences.
■ If your character is a scholar, or a writer, or a bookworm. They have a lot to talk about.
■ If your character is interested in exploration, or finding new experiences, or simply needs to get out of their comfort zone, meeting Dayir could be a powerful experience for them!
■ If your character is looking for a traveling partner, Dayir is always glad to have company, and I love writing small adventures for characters.
