He currently wears basic bronze armor in an attempt to blend in with standard equipment.

Behavior

He struggles every day to forget his actions and years spent in the Garlean army. He has grown so accustomed to battle from those years and being a gladiator, he continues to seeks others to help them with their troubles as long as it will be a good fight. He has vowed to never kill in cold blood and end his fights without death. While he has not been successful to this, he tries his best to have them end in ties.

History/Timeline

Early Years

Edgar's childhood was relatively calm. He trained with his father to become a warrior for Garlemald, focusing in sword and shield combat of Imperial Decurions. His most exciting moment was when he discovered his affinity for white magic. Knowing that the Empire frowned upon this, he kept it hidden but continued to experiment with what he could. At the age of eighteen, he enlisted into the Garlean military.

The Garlean Invasions

Shortly after his enlistment, the Garleans launched their invasion into Ala Mhigo. He received news of his fathers death in skirmishes shortly after the conclusion. Thankfully, he learned everything he could from his father prior and used his knowledge and skills to climb the ranks.

Edgar continued to serve loyally through the years and invasion of Mor Dhona. Shortly before the Battle of Carteneau one skirmish was close to a loss after he got injured. Without thinking he used what little white magic he knew to partially heal his wounds. His fellow soldiers witnessed this and turned against him.

He fled for days before the wounds that remained unhealed took the best of him. He was sold as a slave who turned him into a gladiator to make the slaver money.

Gladiator Years

Able to fully unleash himself in the battles, Edgar seemed to have found something to make of himself after his cast away from the only life he knew. He was assigned a young white mage to heal his wounds after the matches to allow him to fight more often. He asked her to train him in the arts of white magic and she reluctantly agreed. She also helped him with speech in Ul'dah and Eorzea areas to help hide is true origins.

The years passed as he continued to fight in the arenas. Edgar and the white mage were training when a group of other gladiators ambushed them. He failed in protecting her but was able to defeat them and took this moment to escape.

Recent Times

He is now wandering to find those who could use his skills.
