Emerlee Falaise

As the young head of the Falaise House, Emerlee Falaise wants to be someone who is respected both as a noble and as a person. However, after the Calamity rendered Coerthas nearly inhabitable, she must study and train to become the great matriarch she wishes to be before she can go back to her home. She was raised without having ever left Ishgard and Coerthas, thus the outside world is a mystery to her, until now, when she must leave and explore the realm in order for her own adventure to begin.
At 5'2", Emerlee is pretty short, but to make up for it she does have a slightly muscled complexion, thanks to some slight training she does. Her water blue eyes go hand in hand with her prussian blue hair.
As a lady of nobility, she can be very organized, calm and sophisticated. Yet aside from those, if she does by any chance meet anyone who is rude or disrespectful towards her, she will not hestitate to act the same way towards them. She can sometimes be brash with some things she might say, and being slightly judgemental to those outside of Ishgard shouldn't be a surprise to those she meets. Hiding how she really feels about someone is a hard task, if she dislikes someone she makes it blatantly obvious, and if she ends up liking someone or admiring them she can be a bit clingy. Because she never made too many friends, she can be a bit shy at times, even on occasions to those who are close to her. Yet nobody should expect to become someone who she trusts quickly, she can be quite closed up to others, and trusting strangers or new people has always been an issue for her. Over time, Emerlee has become a very studious person, she can focus completely on a study or task and block nearly everything away until she has finished what she is doing.
The Falaise House came to being decades ago, when a hyur refugee by the name of Geraint Falaise who resided in Ishgard, fell a great dragon and protected many lives. After his victory, he was offered a place in the Temple Knights. When he retired, he founded his own House, independent from the high houses. To this day, the Falaise House has been losing much power and respect, not only because it is a hyur-only house, but because the family in itself has not done much notable in years. The previous lord, Lance Falaise, made it his life goal to restore the Falaise's honor back, by defeating another great dragon.
During the 21st Sun of the 6th Astral Moon, in 1556, Emerlee was born. Daughter to Lance and Eva Falaise, it would have been a happy birth were it not for Eva passing away shortly after the delivery, proving it was too much for her frail body. Because of this, Lance was forced to stop his plans of returning his name's glory, and focus on raising his new daughter. Emerlee soon became Lance's whole life, he was a great father and took care of her like nothing he had ever protected. She ended up being slightly spoiled, always getting what she wanted. On her 6th birthday, she was gifted a telescope, which they both used every night to look at the sky and stars, something which completely fascinated Emerlee. She didn't make too many friends during her early years, because she was a noble from a hyur only house, she was looked down upon by some, even treated with disgust and disregard by some other nobles. Because of this, she grew fond of visiting the Pillars with her father and having fun there. Lance knew that as the only child he would ever have would be Emerlee, she would become the heir to the house when the time came; thus he raised her to become a respectful lady. Or so he thought; while Emerlee near her father did act very lady-like and classy, it would not be rare to see her arguing or even getting into small fights with other kids who did not treat her right. She was also taught to use a bow when she turned 11, proving to be very adaptive and learning how to use it efficiently in short time. When she turned 12, Lance decided to return to his goal of restoring his family's glory back, but rather than doing it for the house, he wanted to do it for Emerlee. Almost conveniently, sightings of various dragons were reported near Western Coerthas. Believing that this was fate, Lance prepared himself for the battle, and left towards Coerthas in the middle of the night, as to not wake up the sleeping girl. Emerlee was woken up some heavy knocks at her house's door. When she opened the door, she was greeted by an ishgardian knight, who had a very downed look on his face. She feared the worse, and her fears became reality in a matter of seconds.
With her father now gone, she became the head of the Falaise House. This, however, was the last thing she ever wanted. For weeks she would not leave the house, staying in and crying throughout the whole day. The knight who came to deliver the bad news, had told her that it was a grey scaled dragon which took his life. Lance had not told her anything about what he was planning to do, she would have never expected anything like this. She would have nightmares every night, about the dragon taking away the only thing she cared about in her life, without ever receiving any kind of goodbye from him. When she became to regain her composure, she slowly began to fulfill her duties as matriarch of the house. She swore to some day, when she's older and much stronger, regain her house's honor back, for her father. She began studying a myriad of subjects in order to become knowledgeable and a much better matriarch. She also wanted to explore the world, learn about everything everywhere. From magics to different fighting styles to just traveling, her curiosity was near killing her at this time. However she wasn't ready to take on everything just yet, she still had her noble house to take care of. She attended many noble parties, in some where she was looked down upon, however she no longer cared if anyone did. By the time she hit 16, she was already a well-mannered lady worthy of the Falaise name.
As if her life couldn't become any tougher, strange occurences began to spread throughout the realm, as the red moon known as Dalamud began to fall through the skies towards Eorzea. Each night the moon would grow in size, proving it was nearing at a fast pace. Every day monsters would go berserk, and as the Falaise house was located in the outsides of Ishgard, Emerlee and some knights were the only ones who could protect it. Giving her all protecting her home, she was dangerously close to being severely hurt during many occasions. As every day the skies would turn even more red, the monsters became more ferocious and powerful. And then, when Dalamud was just shy of some malms from the ground, all hell broke loose. Emerlee watched from the ceiling of her house, how near Mor Dhona the once known moon as Dalamud was shattered into pieces, and from it emerged a colossal dragon. She could only see the beast's silhouette from that distance, but once she heard it's roars and saw the dragon blazing fire through what was Carteneau. The dragon proceeded to fly across the sky, setting everything it saw in flames. As soon as she saw the dragon fly near Coerthas, she went into the lowest room to try to shelter herself. The ground were shaking violently, and many explotions could be heard outside, along with the dragon's thundering roars. Yet in just a matter of minutes, the roars came to an end. Emerlee stepped outside to witness pure chaos. Far into the distance, there could be fire seen everywhere, still crumbling everything near it's path. In Coerthas itself, a snowstorm was starting to rise, covering the now destroyed landscape. Trees had fallen, if not destroyed, burn marks were everywhere in the land, and her own home was heavily damaged, some parts were still crumbling down. Hurt and tired, she made her way across the snowstorm towards Ishgard, barely making it there conscious. For the next couple of weeks, she would stay in the city, recovering from all that had happened. The lands where her home was, were now in terrible and dying conditions, it was impossible to live there for the time being. It was then that she would promise herself that she during this time until her home was in liveable conditions again, would study and train hard in order to become a great and respecteable matriarch, and also strong enough to be able to defeat anyone or anything that would stand in her way. She would have to leave Ishgard in order to achieve these goals, but she believed that soon she would be ready. Some years later, she would finally leave Ishgard's doors and prepare for her life's journey.
Trained with a bow at a very young age, Emerlee can be very useful fighting as an archer, yet she isn't a professional at it. She still regularly practices with it, and is as of now her go-to weapon if any situation where her fighting is needed arises. She tries to evade any type of fighting or combat, but she fully knows it is something she must be prepared for at any given time. After learning about the Ala Mhigan's style of fighting using their own body and energies, her interest in combat has heightened, yet as of now she's only training and preparing her body, since she has yet to find a master who could teach her the ways of the monk's fighting.
Healing magics are also something Emerlee has always looked up to. She is currently traveling through Gridania in order to learn about becoming a Conjurer herself. She believes that before mastering any kind of combat, one must master how to heal and cure, saving lives is more important to her than taking one.
