■ Singing. Though a poor dancer, J'lyhia has always been favored by one thing - a lovely voice. The echo of her devotions in the Jackal's humble temple to Azeyma earned her the epithet 'Sunsinger'.
■ Horses. Like many of the Jackal who wander the Sagolii, she developed a great fondness for the swift, sturdy steeds her tribe tamed over several generations. Her favorite is a roan-coated stallion named Basjhir, a horse some have fondly taken to calling the 'bearer of good news'.
■ Stories. She would make a poor lorekeeper if she did not! Always hanging on the next word, J'lyhia coaxes the tales of others forth with an earnest heart and a desire to learn.
■ Caretaking. Soft hands and an intuitive understanding of the minds and hearts of others has gifted J'lyhia with the ability to save lives and spare others of suffering. Despite the fact that there are times in which difficult choices must be made, she ever favors the most peaceful path.
■ Hunting. A true hunter does not do so for sport, but to survive, and she is one of many Jackal women who learned the value of a strong sword arm. Favoring the blade over bow, she indulges in the thrill of the hunt only when absolutely necessary.
■ Art. Inherent artistic talent has seen her beloved books rife with life-like depictions of those she meets in passing.

■ Violence. There is a time and place for all shows of strength: to defend one's territory, family and life is largely different from senselessly destroying that of another to see them weep. Cruelty for cruelty's sake is the way of beasts.
■ Ignorance. No one is born knowing all that they must, but to dwell in ignorance after discovering the truth is the mark of a careless man.
■ Dishonesty. Lies are a waste of valuable time and a convolution of a story worth telling. Even her patience is bound to break before a deceptive tongue.
■ Apathy. A particular brand of person lives a life without following tenets that set each day into place and make one's heart feel full. With so much of the world to see, J'lyhia cannot comprehend a life lived passively.
■ Cowardice. Though few would think of her as a warrior, her surprising talent with the blade and fearless devotion to upholding Azeyma's will has see her come to expect similar clout from others. Spinelessness is a grave sin.
■ Disrespect. There are many who have chosen to shed the traditions of their tribe and embrace the new world for what it is. J'lyhia walks the line between both, but knows where her heart belongs. Any sign of scorn for the old way will swiftly draw her temper.

■ The book.... An oddity in itself, the book that J'lyhia carries is both a collection of the many tales she has been told and the source of her happiness. Even the most unremarkable of passerby have found their place upon its pages. It is both her greatest companion and proof of her charge: it is hardly uncommon to see her sketching a face within it or pouring one's heart into its contents.
■ By the sun's phases.... She follows a very particular, stringent path in life, rising with the sun to cleanse herself and following its path across the sky with hour-by-hour devotions. She sings before dawn, at midday and at sunset so that Azeyma witnesses her faith through ritual prayer; her meals are spare, never taken before turning to the east to offer thanks.
■ Look, but don't touch... She is preferential to her personal space in all circumstances. Affection may be positively received from a close friend or companion, but elsewise, please keep all arms and legs away at all times.
