Basic Info

K'lear is a very serious, cautious, and untrusting Miqo'te. It's hard for him to find peace around others, especially Seeker Miqo'te males. He will keep himself secluded if he can, and watch other's from a distance.

If at all possible he will avoid conflict, usually keeping to himself rather than speaking his mind. Though he is no pushover either. He does know how to, and will, defend himself if need be. He would just rather be on his own than test the situation around him.

After leaving his hometown he found himself accusing and offending people with his own delusions. He has been in more than enough fights due to his own pride and unwillingness to open up.

History

This is currently a WIP, I don't even know everything myself. Please bare with me, and if you do have questions please ask, they might help build his past. ^^

Before Dalamud's Fall

Birth and childhood (0-13)

Even before his birth K'lear had a rough start. Everything started when a Tia, K'asa, from the K Clan in the Shroud ventured forth to claim new hunting grounds for the clan. While out on his mission he met a Keeper of the Moon woman of the Sha tribe. The two fell in love, and were determined to find a way to live together, first attempting to bring the Keeper woman, Lear, to the K clan.

When it was discovered that Lear was already pregnant, the two were banished. So instead, they were both adopted back into the Sha clan. There they had their first and only child, K'lear'a, named after his mother but given his father's clan name due to K'asa's pride despite being dismissed.

Shortly after K'lear'a's birth he was kidnapped, swiped away from his parents while they slept. An obvious trail was left, but K'asa and Lear followed it anyway, desperate to get their child back. They were met by the K clan's very jealous Nunh, K'siko, who had decided to take it upon himself to raise the child himself just to spite K'asa. K'siko, jealous of K'asa, killed him and Lear.

And so K'lear was brought back to the clan, having been "abandoned." He was given the name K'lear to force his alliance to the K clan, but was given the name Sha so he would always be reminded of his place. He was an outsider to the clan, and only shown mercy because he was a baby when he was found. Growing up almost none of the other tribe's children liked him. He was constantly bullied and abused by children while the adults turned a blind eye. He only made two friends when he was young; K'len Tia and K'ibby Tia. Try as they might to protect him, they could not always save him, and K'lear now has the scars to show for it. During one of his outings during his hunting training, another pair of children decided to take advantage of K'lear being alone. The bullying turned to abuse, and their hunting knives were brought into play. The fight only ended when the lead huntress witnessed K'lear get cut across his face.

Teen Years (11-16)

Life went on in the small wooded village, and K'lear still did his best to proove he was just as good as any other Seeker in the tribe. Like every member of the K clan, K'lear had to go through a Rite of Adulthood, though it only took K'lear failing this trial once to realize he was never expected to pass. He wasn't sure why, but the lead huntress watching over his trial stole his kill. This happened on both his second and third attempt at his trial. However, instead of returning and being labeled a "kit" (a man child), K'lear decided to leave the K clan forever and start over on his own. His two childhood friends, who passed their trials with flying colors, were upset at the news and decided to follow in an attempt to have K'lear change his mind.

This attempt would be made in vein, for before K'lear even bagan his trials the moon Dalamud was already set in motion to come falling down.

After Dalamud's Fall

Teen years (16-20)

With Eorzea half destroyed by Dalamud's fall, K'lear and his two companions were forever separated from their clan. Finding the irony in his situation humorous, K'lear did also feel for his two brothers, for despite his upbringing they were treated well. But now he was stuck with them, and had no way to get rid of them. This was fine at first, but the boy wanted to get a new start on his own. Regardless, he set out to see if he could find this Sha tribe he was supposedly a part of. He knew next to nothing about the clan, other than they were Keepers of the Moon and supposedly where he came from before he was "adopted" out of the "mercy" of K'siko.

He found no trace of them, for they had been destroyed even before the fall of the lesser moon, and with the drastic change the Calamity had on Eorzea's land, there weren't even remains to be found. Giving up on the search, K'lear would find a way to escape the watchful eyes of his two companions and make his way to Ul'dah, where he would truely start his life over and become the traveling laborer he is today. Without much of a dream, there was nothing for him to strive for other than to servive.

In Ul'dah he joined the pugilist guild, where he studied and trained himself further. He felt welcome at the guild, and learned much better ways to defend himself without the need for a weapon. He became more agile, better coordinated with his hands and feet, and his attacks were more calculated. He stayed with the guild for two years before deciding it was time to move on again. He had to keep moving, he had to keep searching for... something. He left for Limsa Lominsa next, where he took on oddjobs for some time.

A Realm Reborn

Ffxiv 08082015 105020.png
For two years things seemed to drag on. With no stable jobs and lack of knowledge of Vylbrand, K'lear struggled to keep food on the table. Times were very trying, until he met someone. Down on his luck K'lear turned to drinking at the Drowning Wench, where he was met by a blue skinned female Miqo'te named Miya. She was odd, spoke funny, though looked oddly familliar. This must have effected him in some way, for he let her buy him a drink and convinced him into meeting Nel Turuphant and learned about the Celestial Forge. Having no skill in crafting anything other than small trinkets he feared he would be of no use to them and thought to return to Thanalan, though they assured him he would be of great use to them on the battle field. Skeptical of that as well, K'lear had little other choice. He accepted the job, where they began giving him missions. One such mission was to protect the very Miqo'te that had found him in the first place.

Heavensward

Even with the gates of Ishgard now open K'lear has very little interest in going there. He knows its fridgid and hostile. Unfortunately it seemed the Forge had its occasional missions in Coerthis. If he wished to keep his job K'lear was forced to find warmer clothes. Though it was not all bad. In the Western Highlands, K'lear found the night sky to be one of the most breath taking sights he had ever seen.

Just his luck though, his job couldn't last. The Celestial Forge did end up disbanding. With too much hostility within it's ranks, it more or less split into two different FCs. One converted to a different FC all together, the rest split up to do their own thing. K'lear was part of the latter, deciding not to join any new free companies for the time being, they just seemed like a pit of drama and too much of a hassle. He began to wonder why he joined one in the first place.

Stormblood

With no home to return to anymore K'lear returned to his old habbits of picking up random jobs here and there. He eventually returned to the Twelves Wood where he found K'ibby and K'len once more. They had found work within Gridania and were doing okay for themselves, but were glad to see K'lear alive and well. K'lear learned they had gone searching for them, but always seemed to be just one step further than them. Regardless, they were a small pack once more, and together they would be reqruited to fight back the Garleans. It was a hard fight, though the Eorzean aliance was able to push back the Garlen army until weird towers appeared all over Eorzea. No longer required to fight, the three boys returned to the Twelve's wood, where they met another Miqo'te with an odd, and very familiar set of knives.

It turned out the knives belonged to K'ibby's half sister, K'velee, and the man who held them was her lover. Through a very unfortunate series of events, they learned that K'velee had died and this man, Adriel, kept them as keepsakes, for he truly loved her. Now seeing that everything was a misunderstanding, K'lear and K'ibby were offered a place in Adriel's pack. He was a wild man, having been raised by the local wolves and taught by nearby poachers. K'lear and K'ibby took up the man's offer.
