A young man born as a result of his merchant father sleeping with a courtesan. He was abandoned by his father who had no interest in caring for a child and his mother who could only afford to take care of herself. An orphanage took him in for a short while before he was kicked out when he was 8. Struggling to survive every single day, he was alone in Kugane for a very long time, soon stowing away on a travelling merchant's cart headed towards the Azim Steppe. It is here he stumbled upon Union, and more specifically, the Malaguld, who he approached and explained his situation. They took him in as one of their own, and he finally found family.
Despite having a family, Karna yearned for more, he yearned for a purpose for his existence, and with permission from the Malaguld, left for Kugane to find work which he found often times as a bodyguard or mercenary.
Some years later, Karna grew very bored of his life. He simply worked, ate, and went home to sleep with some in-between activities, though it was not enough to satisfy him.
His boredom and lack of purpose continued to grow - until he eventually broke, and left for Eorzea all on his own.
His journey was quite lonely, often filled with misfortunes and plights, but he met many people on his way to the west, many of which he helped either by giving them money or assisting them with whatever troubles they had. It took him quite some time, but he eventually landed in Eorzea, where he now seeks a reason for his existence.
Karna is a young man with long, messy, and white hair that can be described as transparent. His face is often expressionless, but his gaze is as sharp as a blade.
Upon closer examination, his eyes are a light green and his limbal rings are white. His eyes are rather small, and his eyebrows are shaped in such a way that make it seem like he's angry despite his intentions otherwise.
His right eye, hidden by his bangs, is scarred rather terribly, which is part of the reason why he hides behind his hair. His skin is very pale, and he often appears ghastly in appearance. More scars litter his chest and back, and a few across his arms, but nothing he is too embarrassed about as much as his eye.
Karna's body is muscular, but not exceedingly so. It is a result of his continuous training every day. His clothing often consists of his robes from Kugane and whatever he thinks won't have him stand out as he travels in Eorzea. Though lately he has been wearing his robes more openly in Eorzea as he becomes more comfortable with his identity as a stranger in Eorzea.
Karna is defined by his generosity. He gives gives and gives to others in need, be it strangers or friends. He would not hesitate to give plenty of money to people he believes need it more than he does, or would eagerly help anyone in trouble. However, beyond that kindness, is a lost young man.
Karna is kind to everyone he meets, though he is not above cracking jokes among other things one would expect of his stone faced exterior. He is patient and honest, but always direct in the manner of his speech. He never holds back what he is saying and never lies. He is shy when he speaks, often pausing to consider what he is saying, but manages to grow a little bit out of it when he feels comfortable around you. Karna is honest, has a strong and loyal heart, and regardless of his bad luck, never blames anyone for anything.
Most notably though, he has a hard time feeling things. Be it happiness, hatred, love, or anger - he cannot find it in himself to truly 'feel' these things, redundant as that sounds. He is also very naive. He becomes confused when you use terms or say things he is unfamiliar with, many jokes among other things flying over his head. Despite those shortcomings though, he still struggles on to find himself with the interactions he has with others.

Karna's father was a rich Au Ra merchant who had slept with a courtesan who would be Karna's mother. Unfortunately for Karna and his mother, his father refused both of them, as he was already married and did not want to care for either of them as well. Not much is known about him, but Karna does not hate him for doing what he did.

Karna's mother was a beautiful courtesan, but like his father, he does not know much about her. What he does know, is that he also struggled to live much like Karna. He could not care for the both of them, and chose to leave her son at an orphanage. Like is father, he does not resent her for doing as she did.
Karna is on good terms with Eiai, and considers her his very first friend. She teases Karna constantly, much to his own chagrin, but he bears it because he knows she doesn't bear any ill will. The young man thinks they're quite close and has shared that he believes he is still alive due to her friendship. While he doesn't know if the feelings he bears for her is love or simply adoration for being his friend, Karna knows that he would give a great deal if it would mean Eiai's happiness.
