Chaotic Neutral General Information Generally quiet, and often taciturn and cold to a fault, Kianna is the type of woman who jumps first, and asks questions later. However, beneath the ice lays a warm and caring individual to her friends and loved one, and a ruthless killer of her enemies. Yet, for all her ferocity, there seems a fragility to her, something one has to look hard to see, but becomes painfully obvious if they can get past all that emotional armor.... ❝ Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. In the past she has worn her hair short, but in recent times she has grown it out longer, tying it back into a ponytail. A strand of rogue hair pokes up and curves down, often getting into her face at times, much to her consternation. The red hair is deep red, and natural, she does not dye it any way. Its smooth in most areas but spiky at the tips. More recently, she has taken to wearing it tied back with a ribbon, and her red hair has turned white at some of its ends for some reason. Physique & Markings Kianna;s physique can best be described as feminine but muscular. She is in very good shape, fit and trim from her many years fighting. Her arms and legs are where the muscles are most pronounced, bearing the tell tale signs of her highlander heritage. Multiple faded scar marking are on her arms, indicating the violent life she has led. Another scar is in her midsection, and runs down lengthwise, indicating where she was stabbed by Lillith Blackheart, but few ever see the mark, and fewer know of why it is there or how Kianna even survived. Kianna also bears tribal Highlander markings on one side of her face, as a homage to her Highlander heritage, as well as a Dravanian brand on the other side, placed there for her service in the Dragonsong war and to Ishgard. NOTE: Kiannas musculature is not female bodybuilder size, but more like a woman with obvious muscle size, but not as pronounced as a bodybuilders Hygiene & Attire Often seen in heavy armor, Kianna nevertheless tries to keep her appearance neat and tidy. The armor is well looked after, polished regularly, and the cloth kept from looking too battered or frayed. Personality Psychological Profile Kiannas mental state can often be described that of a young woman who did not get a chance to grow up in a "normal" environment. She desperately wants to be loved and accepted, yet the trauma she experienced, both as a child, and more recently as an adult, have left her scarred and feeling more alone than ever. Quick to anger, and slow to forgive, as well as often times wary of strangers, Kianna is a walking paradox of conflicting desires , goals and motivations. Yet underneath lies the heart of someone who, if one is able to break through the armor she builds around herself, the making of a true friend, and with work, a devoted lover. Kind, caring, and loyal to those she trusts and cares for Kianna will go to the end of the world and back of necessary should such be needed. Still, few see this side of her, and instead see the cold, almost cruel Dark Knight who relentlessly seeks the next fight. Voice Soft and gentle but with a slightly hard edge to it. Philosophy & Mannerisms Kianna is a woman with a rather straightforward view on life. Since she has spent most of her time on the numerous battlefields of Eorzea, dealing with one strife or another, she sees life as fleeting, here one moment and gone the next. This, as well as the experiences in her life has led her to be detached from others. Still, perhaps because of this attitude toward "life being short" she prizes the friendship and loyalty of those who have earned it highly, as well as those who treat others kindly regardless of station. She is not above showing respect where it is earned through actions, or someone being polite toward her, but she does not tolerate abuse of any kind, verbal or otherwise, and will do her best to protect those being bullied, be it by placing herself in front of the blows, be they physical, or speaking up should the weapon of choice be words. Ever steadfast, she is not above choosing to fight should the need arise in defense of others. This is not supernatural though, more of a "Sense for danger" that has helped keep her alive. Combat Abilities ● Aetheric Siphon/Soul Eater: Using ambient aether, or directly channeled through blade, allows Kianna to heal at an accelerated rate, or restore her own aether reserves faster. This healing just means her wounds can close without needing healing magic or other types of aid, and does not mean she cannot be killed. ● The Darkness Protects: Using the darkness like a shield, it allows Kianna to reduce physical or magical damage she might receive, but at great aetheric cost to her reserves. A beautiful , healthy, and strong girl! My heart bursts with joy as I write these words. She has her mothers eyes, but I am told my grip. She will be a fine addition to the ranks of our Warrior clan when she is old enough to finally begin swinging an ax. Still, in some ways I am saddened having brought her into these uncertain times. Ala Mhigo cries out for help, we have a tyrant trying to seize power, and although the people try resisting, I can see it in their eyes, their fire is weakening, their resolve crumbling, and although the priesthood is strong I fear for them. It saddens me, but not in as much that our clan can do little to defend our people, my adopted home away from the cold mountains of Ishgard. The way of the Warrior is fading, fewer people come to me to learn with each passing Moon. In many ways, what is befalling Ala Mhigo is their own fault, they have slowly become soft and lacked of a will to fight. Therefore I have decided it would be safer for my family to leave, but at this high altitude, we cannot yet until little Kianna has acclimatised and become stronger, so that she could make the perilous journey down the mountainside. That tyrant Theodorac has seized power, and claimed Ala Mhigo as his Kingdom, using Divine Providence as his excuse! He now moves to consolidate his power, making sure that his enemies are either dead, or will soon be. My family and I are in great danger, he knows I opposed him, yet we cannot leave. The mad king has barred any exit from the city. We have taken up residence in a sympathizers basement, and i have decided it is time to begin training Kianna in The Way, as is our custom. I only wish I could train Kianna in the proper Way, to truly tame the rage within her that she will experience. Although we managed to storm the castle, we weren't alone. Garleans had arrived, and provided us with aid. I protested, but my fellows were blind to my protestations. Nothing good will come of Garlean involvement in Ala Mhigan affairs. I have finally decided it is best my family and I leave as soon as we are able, I can bribe a Ul Dah merchant who vists rather frequently to peddle his wares and..strange, there is a noise outside, we were not expecting company tonight... He fought back, valiantly of course, and we lost a few of the rabble we hired to help, but in the end, the great Darren Vantes was put down, along with his wife who got in our way. There is no sign of the little redheaded brat of his we heard so much about, probably dead in the fire that we set to make it appear to have been sympathizers to the late "King" Theodorac. There is nothing to stop us now. 5th Sun, 1st Astral Moon, 1557 Ishgardian merchants logbook, on Caravan at Ul'Dah Well, my wallet is fat and full and I am happy, those folks from Ul'Dah truly know a bargain when they see one, and, as I am the cheapest merchant who even sets foot here from Ishgard, they just flok to my stall when they see it! We will be taking on food and supplies soon for the long journey back to the Holy See, and despite my enjoyment of time on the road, I am anxious to get back so that I can finally buy that house my wife has been looking at for some time in the upper quarter. Oh how she nags and goes on about it! Still, I love her, and she will love the gift, I am sure. As a side note, we took on a local as a passenger. At least we think shes a local, tanned skin and tatoos and all, the only thing strange about her is the red hair. That and I could swear her ears are pointed slightly, much like those of half elezen descent. Stioll, she managed to pay, which is surprising how she looked, all bedraggled like that and her feet near raw from the cuts on them. One of the caravaners got her a change of clothing and something for the colder climates well be going to, let it not be said the Ishgardians are completely heartless!
