You'll often either see it let down over her shoulder in casual settings, or tied up when in combat scenarios or on the field. As for her eyes, she does not have much of an opinion of them. The bright blue can be easily compared to a water-aspected crystal, and at times her gaze can be as sharp as the edge of one all the same. Physique & Markings As Niobe has often had a dislike of aetheric teleportation, she finds herself travelling to places by foot frequently, and because of this, her legs are lean and well-toned. While she doesn't think much of it, she is somewhat physically active. The light scarring on her throat came from a Magitek Machina's forceful grip. While it didn't penetrate the skin, it definitely left its mark. The gash on the lower-right of her stomach, however, came from a clash with an Arulaq Xaela some time ago, where she was dealt a near-fatal blow while trying to protect the Ixali. Hygiene & Attire Her wardrobe tends to lean towards a more conservative appearance, often opting for something that provides comfort without cutting back on mobility. She favors a watery color palette, and any other colors that might complement her many shades of blue. She keeps herself well maintained and presentable, as she feels as though she has an image to maintain to help stand her ground in her diplomatic endeavors. Personality Psychological Profile Niobe is often easily read when in a calm situation. She enjoys observing others and learning their tells, so she knows how best to approach them without provoking any sort of negative reaction. Her endeavors in regards to finding peace for the Beast Tribes has definitely worn down at her patience, however. This shows especially when people say or do something that may irritate her, where she'll sometimes lash out verbally. Though, she tries her hardest to remain well-maintained. In public outings, she can be somewhat introverted, and is relatively easily overwhelmed when approached in a manner too forward, which stands out as somewhat odd given her vocal tendencies on behalf of the Tribes. Voice She is relatively soft-spoken in public settings, a very melancholic rasp to the ears. She at one point thought that singing was in her future, but that had fallen through due to her stepping up in her base career path. When speaking on behalf of the Tribes, however, she is capable of asserting her will through her voice, and it surely carries as needed. Philosophy & Mannerisms Niobe is very generous and open-minded. She will almost always give anyone the benefit of the doubt, every time. This is both a boon and a bane for her, though it makes it easy for her to approach almost anyone at first. She believes that everyone and everything deserves a chance to voice their side, and this shows especially with the Beast Tribes. She fights so hard not only because of what the Tribes have done for her, but also because the Common have most assuredly been unjustified in their treatment and betrayal of the Tribes in recent history. When unable to use words, and fighting alongside a group, she will always be there to mend their injuries with her unique use of Fluid Aura to heal. Combat Abilities ● Hydrokinesis: Her natural inclination to the water aspect has lead her to leaning heavily into utilizing it to her benefit. She wonders if her birthed Surname of Ondine has anything to do with it, but this is only mere speculation at this point. This is still very much a practiced tool for her, nowhere near perfection. ● Savate: As previously mentioned, Niobe has extraordinarily well-toned leg muscles. There was a point where she had no option but to fend for herself without aether, and found that her legs are a powerful, yet untamed weapon at her disposal. ● Dancing(Job): Niobe chanced upon a travelling troupe somewhat recently and found a means to turn her unspoken hobby into a means of not only easing tension, but also to combat. Paired with her practiced Hydrokinesis, she is able to at least imbue her Chakram and extend her range of combat capabilities. OOC Note While I know some of this a slight stretch of lore, I don't use it in any major capacity. It is simply my unique take on what would otherwise be standard textbook spells! Innovation exists in everyone, I'm sure this applies to even denizens of Eorzea~!

History . Disclaimer: Some of this is just stuff that has happened over the years, keep in mind! All of it is in the past, for the most part. The being from the First is something I'm using for the time being until I get hard confirmation or denial of it being wholly possible or impossible!

Sixth Astral Era Childhood Much of Niobe's history is unbeknownst to her, But know that she is from the First. She had a ragtag family that comprised of her mother, her Aunt who was a Viis as well, and two Uncles, one a Ronso, the other a Dwarf. She ended up in the Source due to a massive surge of aetheric energy, and upon touching down, she lost all recollection of that past. She was stranded on an island however! Eventually she was found by an unlikely soul in the form of a Neutral Sahagin. Brought eventually to the outskirts of La Noscea, she was found by one Naih'a Ithihoh, who likely told himself that he saved her when that couldn't be further from the truth. However he picked up on her aetheric inclination and seemed to sense something in her, and dropped her off at the Conjurer's Guild, telling her that he would someday be back for her. Up until the events of the Calamity, she spent much time learning, but possibly more time being mischievous and causing her instructors much grief. Once the Calamity struck, she was one of the first to help tend to those who's lives were turned on their heads.

Seventh Umbral Era Adulthood Some five summers following the Calamity, she was approached by a Miqo'te named Aea Taharka, on behalf of Naih'a. An issuance of joining his cause in the form of the Phoenix Archive along with Aea and one Selphie Terra. Thus began her work into Record Keeping! However, this was relatively short lived when the Blood Banquet came to pass, as Naih'a and his employ were one such target of Lord Lolorito's ire. The events that came to pass split them up, and Niobe went into hiding along with her Sahagin friends where she practiced her water artes for a time. She also came to learn in depth of their culture, then sought to learn of other beast tribes' cultures. So she traveled! These travels and her anthropological ventures brought her eventually to the Sea of Clouds, where lo and behold, she came across Selphie and Aea once more. They spoke of a renewed organization known as the Stellazzio Remnants, which she eventually chose to join. The leadership shook up somewhat, shortly after, due to Naih'a getting a bit too involved with a Soul Crystal, granting its native soul his body. This soul was known as Tomorluu Arulaq. This man was met with much suspicion from all parties, and rightly so, as they learned he was from a time early on in the Dragonsong War, manipulated and eventually betrayed by the Elder Wyrm Nidhogg. The man's path of vengeance sent his sights on earning elemental abilities via the Primals of Eorzea. So he went to causing pocket genocides among the Beast Tribes. When Niobe learned of this, she sought out her peers to quell this internal threat. This would eventually lead to her and Tomorluu standing off one against the other. Niobe whittled away at him with venomous tonics, whereas he managed to drive a blade in the lower right of her stomach. Both at the brink of death, but saved by their comrades. While Tomorluu sought redemption, and her peers sought to bring Naih'a from the Aetheric Sea, Niobe took over for the Stellazzio Remnants. Bringing Naih'a back led to his past coming back in full force, which further led to the Remnants chasing Naih'a to Azys Lla, which inevitably ended in the literal destruction of the Free Company, as well as losing both Tomorluu and Aea in full. The time following this lead her through a small number of Free Companies, even through the Adventurer's League of Eorzea, where she stepped up in her place among the Beast Tribes and more actively sought to advocate for them. She went so far as to pitch a speech at the recent Miss Eorzea pageant as a contestant, and soon after giving a speech at a Pro Beast Tribe rally on the outskirts of Ul'dah. She was approached by the owner of the Ashcrown Consortium and told that they would be in touch with her, in hopes of forming a fruitful relationship in the coming days. Following that, an excursion to the Crystal Tower came about that brought out deep-rooted fears of Niobe's, something she has carried with her since then. Her time with the Adventurer's League, however, came to an end soon after a joint operation with the Eorzean Alliance in quelling an Amal'jaa incursion. This brought to her attention her weakness when it comes to the Tribes, the severity of Temperament as a whole, and how she could eventually better herself.

In Recent Times Moving Forward Since parting ways with the Adventurer's League, she has spent ample time figuring out who exactly she was and what she has wanted. The Ashcrown Consortium sought her out eventually and asked her to form a special branch known as the Agency, to be a more vocal advocate to the Tribes as a whole, as well as study Temperament. To this end, she seeks to eventually form a group and cure this Primal phenomenon. On a more personal side, she has received numerous cryptic missives from someone claiming to be her father and trying to arrange meetings with her, though this has been largely a wasted effort in her eyes. Beyond that, she spends her free time(What little of it there is) with her close friends, who all seem to be settling down and starting families as of late.

A simple countermeasure. RP Limits I like to consider myself a flexible player who is willing to commit to a number of different types of scenes and role-play scenarios, but even I have my limits. If something is on the play list, assume it means yes, as long as it's within the context of the current play or ongoing plot. No's are typically a hard no, and it means don't ask. ■ I will play I am interested in my character eventually settling down, and am open to making that journey. I very much enjoy story-driven and longer-term roleplaying, regardless of theme! ■ Ask about Heavy Slice of Life, ERP, or Grim-Dark themes. Given the limited scope of Niobe's interests in her career path, I have to have an open mind for anything that comes along! I'll always give whatever a chance, however I must ask that you grant me that same kindness and be open to my character, and patient with me! I do have moments in time where I can disassociate from the world in general, and especially with my position IRL at the moment! I'll do my best if you only give me a chance to do so.

Waiting to see what lore comes out from here on. Character Concept In both appearance and current career path, she takes a lot of inspiration from Salon Maiden Anabel, from Pokemon. Her role in Sun and Moon on the Ultra Beast Task force, and her opinion on the Ultra Beasts, as well as the direction and culture of the First, gave me inspiration for Niobe to move forward to where she is now!! Though, the Beast Tribe diplomat thing has existed with her for a long time.
