Opal is a short young Raen somewhere in her twenties. Her blonde hair is kept short, with unkempt bangs over her pink eyes. She loves the color and is seen with outfits dyed this color. She appears unarmed but can summon kunai thanks to her magic when needed. Her general expression is emotionless and is often seen tuning out the world in her books or making deliveries to and from a nearby orphanage when out of contract. Though she won't openly admit it, she has a soft spot for cute things and as such will wear more feminine cute outfits despite clashing with her personality.
Opal is seemingly emotionless and socially withdrawn, though still naïve. She sees herself as an expendable tool out of hatred and self loathing, and takes her jobs seriously because of that. She speaks softly and in monotone, being teased she's a robot or a doll at times. Trained with a soldier like mentality she will obediently take the orders of anyone above her rank even in situations where it wouldn't matter, and initially disregard anyone below her. Though appearing cold and unfriendly, it puzzles her that children tend to flock to her regardless. She could always stop volunteering at the orphanage if bothered her though, but she doesn't. She is not totally devoid of personality though, having an easier time opening up to people who share her interests as well as people capable of training her current skills further along with teaching new abilities. People who begin to push past her barriers will frequently begin to see more and more sparks of her true personality. She's a very perceptive and caring person especially, those she cares for. Though also scared as well, once someone has caught her interest she'll be less withdrawn even taking the initiative. Though she'd give off a robotic excuse as to why. Overall, she fiercely dedicates herself in jobs that find her way, no matter how ruthless or how benevolent they are.
Opal was born to a family of well known assassins and spies in the east. At a young age she was trained academically and in combat that would suit this line of work. She was taught that she was an expendable tool and as such should give constant 110% to prove her worth. She was tasked to kill criminals as well as innocents until she was numb to it and felt empty. What made her special was her gift, the ability to wipe someone's memory. This made her a valuable tool to the family, though she quickly became to hate her gift as well as herself. Slowly becoming more and more distant knowing the people in her life would either be killed or forget her. One night she was tasked with killing a government official leaving no witnesses. She killed him and his wife with ease though stopped herself when their son walked in. Unable to follow through she instead wiped his memory of her and of his family so he wouldn't mourn them, before sending him off to an orphanage. Despite her family only ever seeing her as a tool, they were the only consistent relationship she had and as such "loved" them. Ashamed after failing her family for the first time, she left them. Though men have been sent to capture her, along with enemies she's made from her line of work, they are quickly dispatched but still a nuisance to her. Roaming looking for a new "family" for protection from her past.
Opal works freelance either as a voluntary cook for a local orphanage or taking on any mercenary work or assassin/spy work that comes her way.
