R'anael Lea (Ruh-ah-nah-el Lee) (otherwise known as Ana, Anael) is a Sun Seeker Miqo'te that was born and raised somewhere in La Noscea. Her adventuring days began when she reached adulthood, leaving everything she knew behind in pursuit of fame, glory and coin... and Miq'abobs! In her travels, she has come across several individuals who have helped shape her and her fate simultaneously, leading her to become a member of the Maelstrom. While she has no official Free company to call her home, she does frequent with the members of the Oathsworn Vigil as well as the members of the House of Tea.

P E R S O N A L I T Y

R'anael is a carefree soul who attempts to live her life with no worries. She is rather impulsive and often doesn't think before she speaks or acts. Nevertheless, she has a tender heart and her general demeanor usually reflects this. Although, because of some of her characteristics, some might question her moral choices and tendencies. She's very easy to befriend, especially if she is showered with gifts! She enjoys attention and cannot help but often be the heart of the party where-ever she goes. She is a very hyperactive and impulse-driven individual, so sometimes she doesn't leave the best first impressions. But after a while of getting to know her, most people come to realize that she means no harm.

A P P E A R A N C E

R'anael is incredibly beautiful. She has jade-green eyes, fair skin, and blonde hair that she often styles in many different ways. Although she tends to keep her hair quite short due to the fact that it often gets in the way of her face during any activities. Being a pugilist she is very well fit and has quite a well-toned body. She's slightly taller than the average female Miqo'te, often standing out just a bit more than others because of it. More often than not, attire of choice will reflect on what she is doing. For instance, when she is in her usual fighting outfit she wears nothing but a subligar, a galerus (or the cyclas that Suna made for her) and some thigh-high saurian leather boots. Unlike most pugilist, she only wears leather gloves which are plated for protection. Her reasoning for this is because "she doesn't like the feeling of clawed weapons or knuckles." All and all, R'anael often wears rather revealing or provocative gear. While some think it is for the sake of attention, the reality is she simply often finds such clothing far more comfortable.

Ferathir Dawnbreaker ( ♥ ) - The Keeper of Oaths
Before R'anael became a full-time adventurer, she often sought employment as a retainer. One of her employers for a considerable amount of time was Ferathir "Dawnbreaker" Lauhafiere, a Midlander Hyur who hailed from Ishgard. At first, the relationship between these two was a rocky one. R'anael and Ferathir both shared a very stubborn-like personalities and because of this often didn't get along. However, R'anael always carried out her tasks, even if reluctantly. Eventually the two started to warm up to each other and became great friends. Ana did develop feelings for him that were more than just that of a friend's, but eventually found herself content with the bond the two developed. After leaving the Platinum Vanguard, Anael went to remain by Ferathir's side in his estate where the other Oathsworn resided. She worked for him for some time there, trying to make a living and still frequents there from time to time. While she has no real ties with Ferathir's "organization", she does seem to get along pretty well with everyone there.

V'ieh Vhessi ( ♥ ● ) - The Sourpuss
R'anael met V'ieh way before she met many of her other contacts. It was on a cool night in the Coffer & Coffin Tavern in Thanalan. Their interaction was quite pleasant, with the two chatting it up quite well and even so much as flirting. Ana found herself quite attracted to her "open-minded" nature and had hoped to get to know her more. However, business called V'ieh away, but before their departure they exchanged linkpearls. These pearls, however, were never put to good use. It was to R'anael's surprise, however, that she re-encountered V'ieh within the Oathsworn estate. However, by the time they had reunited, V'ieh's demeanor was much different than from the first time they met. While she still found herself very much attracted to her physically, the same could not be said about her personality.

Jazmmine Ishikawa ( ♦ ) - The Flower Lady
Jazmmine was one of the first people R'anael ever fully interacted with outside of a business relationship. She met her somewhere in the streets of Ul'dah, wandering aimlessly when the Au Ra was trying to find her way. To this day, R'anael is not sure what drew her to Jazmmine, but the two did manage to bond considerably well and became great friends. R'anael nicknamed Jazmmine "Flower Lady" because R'anael believed she smelled of flowers in the spring time. The two went their separate ways for a bit before they reconnected at a later date. During that time, Jazmmine had settled in a free company known as the Platinum Vanguard and convinced R'anael to join eventually. R'anael had not given the action much thought, aside from the promise of finding individuals there who could make her Miq'abobs and keep her company. But with time, R'anael realized that the lofty goals of the Vanguard were not fitting for the likes of her. She wanted to help, but she didn't see herself remaining as herself if she remained a part of the company. So without much of a word, R'anael gathered her belongings and left elsewhere. R'anael didn't consider telling anyone, not even Jazmmine, of her decision, leaving everyone to realize it on their own with time. Nevertheless, R'anael does miss Jazmmine and her company and prays that to this day, her Flower Lady is safe and sound.

Suna Yari ( ♥ ♥ ♦ ) - Miq'abob Maker
R'anael met Suna during the time-period that she was a member of the Platinum Vanguard. She was introduced to her during a meeting, but knew of her beforehand as "the one who can make anything." Anael was always anxious to meet her, because she was the only member in the company who knew how to prepare miq'abobs, one of R'anael's favorite dish. To R'anael, it was love at first sight. After all, anyone that could cook something that delicious on a whim was worth pursuing. Unfortunately for R'anael, their interactions were very limited after their first meeting. And that was solidified for some time after Anael left the Platinum Vanguard over night. Many months later, the two reconnected when Ana spotted Suna returning to her new home in the Mists. Remembering her face, the curious Miqo'te followed Suna around until she found her place of residence and watched from afar until she was noticed. Since then, the two have spent a lot of time together and have bonded quite well. Suna is very different from Ana in many ways and isn't at all the type of person she would normally seek attention from. But with Suna's selflessness, kindness and ability to make some amazing creations (food or otherwise) the Miqo'te finds herself to be quite smitten with the Raen. Ana and Suna currently share a room in Suna's new home where they often meet up after a lengthy day.

Tenshi Lightwing ( ● ) - The Other Miqo'te
Another one of the members of the Platinum Vanguard that R'anael met during a meeting. Tenshi appeared to be another Miqo'te, just like R'anael. However, unlike Ana, Tenshi bore a rather odd name outside of the norm for most Sun Seekers and even Moon Keepers which greatly confused her, so Ana decided to nickname her "Ten-Plus-Ten." Nevertheless, she did think her to be rather nice, even if they didn't have any other interactions beyond that one moment.

Ruby Dutchess ( ● ) - The Keeper of Minions
The other member of the Vanguard that stood out to Ana during the meeting was Ruby, A Raen Au Ra of unknown origin. It was Ana's first interaction with an Au Ra, outside of Jazmmine, so she wasn't very sure of what to expect. The only thing she managed to make out of Ruby as an individual was that she had a habit of collecting pets and minions. Still, she thought her to be rather nice and gentle, at first glance, as such leaving a good impression on the Miqo'te.

Piaras Wolfwood ( ● ) - Piranha
The leader of the Platinum Vanguard. At first glance, R'anael thought he was an "ok guy", until he talked. And talked. And didn't stop talking. She felt he had a rather high opinion of himself, or at least that he must have loved the sound of his own voice because of this. Nevertheless, she knew Jazmmine respected him, so she tried to follow in suit while keeping him at a distance. She also began to wonder exactly how the Platinum Vanguard would fulfill its lofty goals while he continued to constantly take the company who was comprised of mostly women to the beach... All of that aside, for the life of her, R'anael could never remember his name, so she nicknamed him "Piranha."

Minako Obinata ( ♥ ♦ ) - The Boss Lady
During her time working for the Oathsworn Solutions R'anael often had to interact with other members of the management there, particularly Minako. At first, the two didn't seem to get along at all. Minako didn't seem to approve of R'anael's carefree, no filter personality. And R'anael thought that Minako was quite stuck-up and downright boring. However, after an incident in the Gold Saucer while the company was on an outing, Minako managed to earn R'anael's respect by acting like a proper leader. Because of R'anael's newly found respect for Minako, the Au Ra eventually did manage to open up to Ana and the two became good acquaintances. However, their interactions remain rather limited, perhaps due to differences in schedule.

Thata'wo Kaatapoh ( ♥ ♦ ) - The Stray
One of the other individuals who was a part of management for the Oathsworn Solutions. R'anael met Thata'wo during her stay in the Oathsworn estate. Was it not for his name, R'anael would think he was a Seeker of the Sun, save for the fact that he also sorely lacks the personality of one. She is somewhat attracted to him, in the sense that she "finds him cute", but she finds him equally annoying and confusing... and also a pushover. Still she has seen his speed and some of his strength when spying on him, and she respects him because of such.

Kikimu Kimu ( ♦ ) - The Cutest Little Lalafell
R'anael met Kikimu when she waddled right in to the company estate. She was confused, at first. But found the very simple-minded, yet honest and innocent Kikimu to be very endearing. She has grown rapidly fond of her and unlike most of the people she meets, she has grown quite attached and protective of her. Kikimu is one of the few individuals that R'anael feels completely safe to be herself with.

Ana slowly opened her eyes as she awoke from her slumber. What was supposed to be a small "cat-nap" as she put it earlier turned out to be a full-sleep of nearly twelve hours. It had to be the bed. She hadn't slept in one in so long and found it to be quite comfortable. She slowly shifted from one side to the other, examining her surroundings. "That's right..." She remembered where she was. Suna's room. Suna's bed. How did she get here, again? It was all such a blur... "Soft..." A small crack broke upon her lips as she smiled. She held that image for a few seconds before she randomly started to flail on the bed while squealing, overwhelmed with a combination of excitement and embarrassment. So surreal. Everything that happened she did not expect. She was not disappointed by any means. But the outcome still did surprise her. R'anael was a girl who often overthought things. But she was also the type of girl that lived in fantasies and day-dreams. And that night to her was the most exciting one she had in weeks. She recalled how her night began, strolling the streets of Limsa, before she stumbled upon a familiar face. The bustle of the city made for a perfect diversion as she gawked, trying to figure out if whom she had seen was in fact who she thought. It was difficult, however, since she never managed to get a visual of her face. She knew that if she could just lay eyes upon her target, she'd know for sure. However, before she knew it, her quarry had already left the city. She trailed behind as much as she could, but she wasn't the best tracker... or stalker, for that matter. Her pursuit led her to the Mists. It was there where she managed to lay eyes upon her. It was indeed Suna, the Au Ra who R'anael met during her time in the Platinum Vanguard. The one and only Suna whom R'anael obsessed over for (mostly) her ability to make the best miq'abobs in existence. The Miqo'te parked herself atop the chocobo stables of what she believed to be where Suna currently resided, not making much of an effort to conceal herself anymore. She secretly hoped that she would be noticed, but for the time being, she was simply content watching from a far. However, it wasn't long before the spearmaiden spotted the Miqo'te. "Hello, R'anael." R'anael looked around the room again, once more taking in her surroundings. It wasn't a dream. It really all did happen. But what was so magical about all of this? Was it the fact R'anael managed to feast upon Suna's cooking once more? Was it the fact they kissed? No... It was that, for the first time in a long time... "I'm visible again..."
