Creamy alabaster flesh is the first notable feature about the woman. A beautiful contrast made by the light hue of her skin, and the dark scales. It, however, is not without blemishes. Years of providing for her tribe, and surviving off the lands, Sar’nai is not without imperfections. On the lower left side of her back, close to her hip, the raised knotted rows of tissue looks to the be the work of angry fangs from a Gulo Gulo. Other, more faint, scars scatter her back. Untold tales of hunts, and battles with other Xaela on the Steppe. Hidden beneath the hem of her pants there is an indentation over the right side of her hip. When this small missing piece is brought up in conversation Sar mentions that an enraged Dozu manage to take a piece of her with its horn, but there may be a deeper story to it than that. The most captivating part of her that stands out most are those intense azure eyes. Captivating irses of piecing sapphire entrapped in a darker cerulean ring. The seas of cadet blue reflect the untamed persona lingering in Sar’nai.
On long, seemingly endless, legs Sar’nai comes in at 5’5”. Considerably taller than many of the women of her race. Among female Xaela the huntress is more noticeable because of this. Being taller gives her an advantage over others in the ways of hunting, and gathering. She’s able to take on more sizeable prey, and climb trees easier. Weighing in at one-hundred twenty-eight ponz her weight is average for her height. Her frame is of medium build. Not too slender, and not overly toned. Long legs lead up into a flared hip. Her midsection is fit, but not overly impressive. A faint outline of six abdominal muscles are barely visible. What most people comment more on is the woman’s impressive breast size. The mountains of tenderness that adorn her chest range in the double D category. Example of what Sar’s muscular structure looks like
Like everything else that stands out Sar’nai’s hair is no different. Starting at the roots the hair here is stained a raven pitch. Dark in its shade as the hairs progress out the color fades from deep to medium hues of cerulean. Some strands fading into a brilliant baby blue toward the tips. All the colors in her hair is natural. The Xaela’s gossamer hair is chopped into short layers. Long hair is a hinderance in Sar’s mind for it takes too long, and too much effort to upkeep. It isn’t often that Sar’nai runs a brush through her hair. So more often than not it looks like she crawled out of bed.

Voice[1] - When she speaks Sar’s tone isn’t something that most typically expect. Despite her brutish nature, and rigid body, her voice is actually smooth, and gentle.

Attire - See attire on the gallery page for her outfits. On Sar's tail, toward the tip, she wears a ring. It's made of gold. Not too over the top or gaudy. Jade, and emerald, shards are placed around its circumference in the order of Jade > Emerald > Jade > Emerald. With equal spaces in between them all the way around. Between the gaps of the gems there are crushed wind shards to give it a likeness to the roaming plains of the Steppe. In the middle is the Borlaaq tribal symbol set into the gold.

Predatory is such a simple, but meaningful definition for the huntress. Her personality truly reflects the Steppe she comes from. Ravenous, one single word that defines her completely. This word is the one that she fits so perfectly into, and out of the complexity that generally consumes the heathen she can always be referred to as rapacious. Stricken with an unquenchable hunger the need for more always drives her onward. Question is what sort of hunger burns so viciously inside the pit of her gut? It is the hunger to be greedy and possessive, for lust, for is what she is so starved of! Society does not confine or define her, and she does not toe within the lines of the social norm. When she wants something she viciously takes it with no question, with no warning. She is a beast, purely raw and elegant, in a majestic fashion. The beautiful, unpredictable, and refined chaos that is Sar’nai is inviting and mysterious.
Intelligence is her, and she is it. Within her there is an insatiable hunger for knowledge, always willing to learn more, she tends to seek it out. Always needing to know more. This is paired with intense focus meaning she is capable of tuning out the world around her. Preventing her from being easily distracted. Sar’nai may be wise, but she also is impatient. Waiting for anything causes little twinges of annoyance to ripple through her. If she’s trying to convey a point, or lesson, to another and they are failing to grasp what she’s explaining, Sar is prone to getting frustrated.
Independence makes up this woman. Her mother tried to instill independence at an early age. The alabaster woman grew up on the Azim Steppe where her childhood was just a stretch of time she was trained how to survive. She has learned not to be dependent on anyone else to survive. Another part that makes up the majority of this enchanting vixen is dominance. Extremely so she is a ravenous creature, taking what she desires out of life. Never stopping until the alabaster woman gets what she wants. Sometimes coming off selfish to others for her pursuit of satisfaction. She also isn’t the type of woman who will allow anyone to use her as a doormat. Sar will not bend, or break, to the desires of anyone else.
Sar’nai is not always the caring, well spoken, woman she appears to be. Hidden underneath that mask of carnal elegance there is a woman who isn’t afraid of many things, and won’t hesitate to lash out, or strike down, someone in defending those she cares for, or even herself. She can be a vile, vicious woman, with a wickedly sharp tongue. Shedding the blood of those that threaten the existence, and health, of loved ones hardly bothers her. Sar’nai will easily end a life if it is for the safety of friends, family, and loved ones. The most startling thing about it is that she will not show remorse for the life she took. In the end it is justified in her mind.
One may perceive her to be emotionless upon their first impression, but it couldn’t be further from the truth. What most do not realize is that her feral, and almost cold, demeanor is merely just a front. Hiding the softness of her heart, and the warmth of her soul. Protecting it from those who wish to do her harm, or see her in pain. History is her guidebook in life, and past lessons has taught the huntress to keep herself guarded. Sar has a gentle soul. She is the first to always give some gil, and supplies, to those less fortunate than she. There have been times where she has offered the clothes off her own back to help the homeless, and those stricken with poverty. The huntress would go to great lengths to help someone in need.
Lurking within that strong willed soul is a feverish passion, and when she loves Sar’nai loves with every fiber of her being. Toward friends, and family, she shows her affectionate and caring side. They always get to see the true Sar. Experiencing the full range of the Xaela’s emotions, and heart, rather than just being met with her stoic demeanor. Ensuring that their needs are met to over her own. Sar’nai is a fiercely loyal woman. Devout to everything she holds precious her loyalty cannot be swayed, and she would rather die than ever betray someone close to her. This also extends to anyone who has the title of lover bestowed upon them. The alabaster samurai is fiercely passionate. Going the distance to always woo her lover, and make sure the relationship is full of passion, and adventure so that things never dull.

Likes

  • Meat - There are very little things in this world that are more enjoyable than feasting on a large chunk of meat after a hard day’s travel. Sar’Nai is a protein girl, and will always pick meat over a vegetable any day.
  • The hunt - Hunting is a big aspect of Sar’nai’s life. It is her way of escaping the stresses of the world. When she is tracking her prey that is all that matters. She doesn’t think about trivial things, and petty drama. All she puts her mind on is putting meat on the table, and in her belly. Tracking, and hunting, is soothing for her soul.
  • Massages - Sar loves massages. Maybe it is the sensual feel of someone’s hands roaming over her rigid body that makes massages so enjoyable. Perhaps it may be because massages help ease the tension in her muscles, and calms her body. Hells it could be because she’s just arrogant, and loves her body being worshipped by someone.
  • Cooking - Preparing, and cooking, a meal for strangers and loved ones is something Sar finds to be very enjoyable. She pours her soul into making each dish taste splendid. It is just another way for her to be a provider. Her soul is also soothed by the fact she knows where the ingredients came from, and that the animal being used in the dish was respected.
  • Climbing - Something rather unusual she likes is climbing. Be it scurrying up to the top of a tree, or scaling the side of a canyon or rock formation. Sar’nai enjoys reaching the heights limit possible. This serves a dual purpose too, because at the higher elevations there are herbs, and plants that are hard to come by. As well as animals such as mountain goats whom have richer fat, better tasting meat, and the best fur to ward off moisture and cold.

Dislikes

  • Wealthy folk - Those with wealth typically rely on other people to get things for them. Like hiring chefs, or maids and butlers. To Sar wealthy folk are incredibly lazy, and dependant on others, because they cannot provide for themselves.
  • Gil - What happens if the economy with gil completely crashed, and it no longer had any worth? How many would know how to take care of their loved ones without coin? She thinks that gil is the root of evil, and corruption, and that people are far too dependant on its value. Plus she doesn’t enjoy how some people work themselves to the bone only to barely be able to afford a home.
  • Restaurants - Sar’Nai doesn’t like eating out. She doesn’t know how the animals were treated before, during, and after their passing. Was all of the animal used? Most likely not. She refuses to support establishments that don’t respect the animal enough to use all of it after it gave its life. Plus the food tastes the best when she knows where it came from.
  • Permanent Establishments - In her mind it is silly to establish a life in a house that can’t come with you if something dire were to happen, and you have to travel.

Quirks

  • Lives in a yurt - Sar’nai is never without her yurt. She invested in a wagon to hitch up to her chocobo, and it is what she uses to transport her home from place to place. Living in a yurt is a major part of her life, and the traditions she was taught. She doesn’t have a residence in any city, or town, and will actually camp out in the wilderness near the city instead.
  • Two hands - One of the huntress’s odd quirks is that she writes with her left hand, but uses her right for the majority of everything else. However, the Borlaaq woman is actually ambidextrous, and is capable of using both her hands for writing, fighting, and every day tasks.
  • They’re better than us - It isn’t uncommon to see Sar’nai treating her chocobo and sparrow better than other people. Sar’nai believes that animals are better than people, because they are without the greed for money, and are compelled to survive off of instincts rather than reckless emotions like the hunger for power. To her they are innocent, and true. Her pets are equal to her. At every meal she makes sure that her animal companions are fed first, and at night seeing that they are comfortable when settling in.
  • Devout - Sar hails from the Borlaaq tribe so she isn’t as religious as the Mol. Yet that doesn’t mean that she is without beliefs. She actively prays to the Dusk Mother. After she makes a kill, be it prey or foe, she will pray for their soul to safely make it to what lies beyond.
  • Stash - Honestly this is the oddest thing about Sar’nai. When she finds herself in a new city Sar will prepare several emergency stashes. They typically include; some coins, sewing thread, needle, a bundle of dry tinder with a bone bow drill, a small knife, a bandage roll, three small candles, and three rations of non-perishable food. She tucks these items into leather satchels, and will hide them away somewhere in the city. That way if anything happens she has things to fall back on.

Fears

  • Physical disability - Providing for her family, and her tribe, is something that Sar’nai heavily prides herself on. Hunting, fishing, gathering, and farming require a fit and strong body. Sar is absolutely terrified of becoming physically disabled as a result of natural causes, or from a fight or failed hunt. If she is physically disabled there is a chance where she won’t be able to provide for her loved ones, and she fears that day.

Weapons
Sarweapons.png

Fists - Sar doesn’t excel at hand to hand combat, but she is proficient in it. At an early age she was taught how to defend herself by using her hands in case she was ever disarmed in battle. A lot of her power may be behind her strong legs, but don’t underestimate the strength behind her punch.
Skinning knives - Secured, and rolled up neatly, in leather are numerous knives. Some slender, some thick, but each sharpened to a lethal edge. Sar’nai keeps her skinning knives on her person at all times, and isn’t above using her tools of the trade for maiming someone.
Blades - Throughout her clothing throwing knives are hidden. She will mainly use these from a distance, but if the circumstances call for it she will wield one in close quarter combat.
Javelins - Resting in a loop in her chocobo’s saddle lay six javelins. Five of the javelins are similar in construction, but vary in length. Each made of sturdy wood capable of bending, and flexibility, and tipped with a metal head. Every javelin has its purpose in hunting, and in battle. If one actually studies these five javelins they will see tiny little carvings etched into the wood. These carvings are not even an ilm deep so they do not compromise the integrity of the javelins. Yet each carving is different. Predators, and prey, alike. Anytime she takes a life with a javelin she will carve the animal into the wood so that they are forever immortalized. A way for her to remember their souls, and the life they gave. The sixth javelin is unlock the others. It is not only longer, but it is made a mammoth bone. A parting gift from her Gesi father after her Borlaaq mother became pregnant with Sar’nai.
Bow & quiver - Archery is a skill, and combat method, that Sar’nai excels greatly in. Be it on the back of a steed, or chocobo, or on her feet. With a bow in hand, and a quiver on her back, Sar is dangerous. The one that she wields is a composite bow which she named Sorocan. Sorocan is made of a hard maple. She picked this wood out herself, because the hard maple helps the limb’s bending parts by providing endurance from shearing stress. Glued onto the belly of the bow is a jigsaw puzzle made of dozu horn. Detailing the bow is gold trimming, but it only serves as decoration. The arrows she makes herself. Their shafts are made of bamboo, and the fletchings come from Yols on the Steppe. Topping the other end of the shaft are deadly broadheads made of four jagged blades.
Katana - Housed in a black sheath, with elegant gold detailing, rests a ruthless blade. There seems to be something…off...about the sword. There is a weird aura radiating around the katana. Sar’nai calls it ‘Arondite, the worldbreaker’, but she doesn’t elaborate on how it got its name, or why the sword seems to feel alive.

On Hand [Updated 07/02/17]

Sarbag.png

Coin purse - Sar’nai doesn’t deal much in the ways of money. She honestly hates how civilization relies on it, but there are times where money goes further than some furs, and swords. On her person she carries a small bag of coins. It isn’t worth stealing with how few coins there really are.
Skinning knives - Secured, and rolled up neatly, in leather are numerous knives. Some slender, some thick, but each sharpened to a lethal edge. Sar’nai keeps her skinning knives on her person at all times.
Nomad Meat Pies - Usually the Xaela keeps at least three in her satchel at all times. It is her favorite food, and she could live off of these and not care. Since she doesn’t eat at stalls, shops, restaurants, etc so keeps some food on hand. Mostly these delicious butter pastries filled with ground Dzo meat and veggies. NEVER ask her to have one. She’s likely to punch you in the mouth than to actually give you one.
Spool of leather string - Sar’ani uses every part of her kills. From the bones, which she makes tools from, to the hides. Sometimes the huntress opts out of using the fur to trade, and sell, and scrapes the hairs from the hides. She makes spools of leather string out of leftover leather scraps. Sar uses the string minor clothing repairs, and cordage if it is needed.
Bone needle - You never know when something sharp, and small, can come in handy. From repairing clothes to stitching wounds shut. A leather strap is looped through the eye of the needle, and it hangs like a crude necklace from the Xaela’s neck.

On wagon [Updated 07/02/17]

Sarwagon.png

Wooden poles & lattice - Sar’nai lives in her yurt all year around. The lattice pulls together, and collapses while the wooden poles can be lashed together. Both easily portable on the wagon.
Felt & furs - Thick felt canvases make up the yurt’s outer shell. Resistant to the harsh weather it is very suitable for the yurt. There are over forty furs on the wagon. Some are used for the yurt’s flooring, and others are for trading.
Three barrels - Barrel one houses drinkable water. Barrel two contains flour. Barrel three is used for carry her chocobo’s food.
Two crates - One contains all of Sar’s clothing, and the other has various tools used for fur trading, and swordsmithing.
30 fulms of rope - Rope is necessary to make a nomadic life possible. It helps lash the poles together, and anchors the felt canvas to the yurt. Also helping keep her goods strapped down to the wago. Sar never lets her rope cordage wear down, and become weathered. She often replaces them.

Animal companions [Updated 07/02/17]

Sarpets.png

Ligdan the Chocobo - Ligdan was a runt compared to all the other baby chocobos that had hatched around his time. Being as small as he was left him with some health issues. The farm lands that he was hatched on didn’t want something so sickly taking up the chocobo feed. While in Limsa they put fledgling Ligdan into a burlap sack, and tossed him into the sea. Sar’nai had just arrived in Limsa, and when walking on the pier below she had watched the farmer toss the bag over head. It launched the huntress into action, and she dove into the salt waters, coming up with the sack safely in her arms. When she got up onto the dock she cut the burlap open, and inside was an adorable white chocobo. Feeling terrible for the young chocobo she took him into her care. In Sar’s care baby Ligdan became healthier. His health issues fading away through the years as he grew bigger, and stronger. Today he is no longer that little runt, but a large chocobo capable of hauling the huntress’s wooden wagon. Ligdan is very loyal to Sar, and will stick by her even in times of battle.
Aruktai the Road Sparrow - Aruktai is not your typical Road Sparrow. He acts more like a haunting hawk than anything else, and that is because that is his intended purpose. Sar noticed how the presence of a hawk would chase away critters, and small game. So she had the idea to train a small bird to be her eyes on prey. Stealing a baby sparrow, that had only hatched a day prior, she took him back to her yurt. It was a day, and night, task to take care of him but she enjoyed it. As Aruktai grew Sar’nai taught him how to perform similar commands that she used for hawks. It took time, but Aruktai finally got the hang of all the signals. He goes every where with Sar’nai, and is never far away.

Chakha () - Eej (meaning mother)
A fierce, and formidable, warrior for the Borlaaq tribe. She instilled the value, and importance, of being independent in Sar’nai. Most of the techniques she uses in battle is what Chakha had taught her. She is a rigid mother. Firm, strict, and always a perfectionist. There are moments where the warrior mother is warm, and softer, toward her daughter but for the majority she was always hard on Sar. Always providing for her daughter as she passed on life and survival lessons onto Sar’nai.

Below are some hooks you can try to use to get our characters to interact.

■ Borlaaq Tribe - Sar’nai grew up for seventeen years in the Borlaaq tribe. Ten years ago she left under dire circumstances. If your Xaela is part of Borlaaq (or was) ten years ago there is a great chance that they knew Sar.
■Customer - Sar’nai makes a living through fur trading, and swordsmithing. She had also done this over in Eorzea to earn gil when she needed the money. Feel free to hire her to craft a sword, or purchase some fur wares off of her.

■What I am looking for - I’m looking for a lot of things for Sar’nai. She’s a new character. Fresh slate. She is in need of friends, enemies, customers, allies in the trading business, maybe some trading competition. I’m typically willing to give anything a shot. Now I don’t mind role playing out mature themes such as gore, crime, alcohol/drug use/abuse, violence, nudity, injuries. If you have a role play idea just hit me up, and ask.
■What I will not do - I will never do permanent death on Sar’nai. I can do near death, but I will not kill her. Also I will not write out erotic role plays. As am I in a relationship ooc, and Sar is taken. I don’t mind your character flirting with her, but know that it will not go beyond that.
