History
Syhrael comes from a long line of seafaring brawlers and builders, the only daughter of Danisygg, and one of two grand-daughters of Eifagibet.
Syhra fought as a lancer in the Maelstrom Grand Company, until one fateful day when her patrol was overrun by the Sahagin. Hanging on by mere threads of aether, she sustained heavy injuries along the left side of her body--most severely in the deep muscle tissue of her thigh. With poison coursing through her veins, and the unknown length of time before a mender was able to reach her, the circumstances of her survival are mysterious.
Since her discharge from the Maelstrom, she has kept herself busy with mining and smithing, with the mammet she affectionately refers to as Bruno the Bronze in tow.
Syhra walks with a noticeable limp when her left leg is not braced, but with the aid of Ainle Goldpaw, she is being rehabilitated.
Update as of 1/23/16:
Officially retired from combat, Syhra is now working with the 81st with Research and Development. Her work focuses mining techniques and compiling research on ores and gems, and keeping Ainle with a steady supply of shields.
Though events have prevented she and Ainle from having any sort of official bonding ceremony, she remains close to him as both a lover and companion. The two of them are expecting twins come spring.
Personality
Syhra is a calm, confident, and contemplative individual under most circumstances. She is a hard worker, and takes pride in everything she does, be it in battle or in her craft. As such, these are the qualities she enjoys and encourages in the company she keeps. Though she is slow to temper, she has little tolerance for laziness or dishonest work.
Combat
Prior to the injuries sustained during the Sahagin attack, Syhra was handy with a lance--perfecting a number of thrust and jump techniques with enabled her to engage her enemies at a close but comfortable distance. Her training now involves the use of ranged weapons that enable her to fight at a distance long enough to give her slack in her legwork. At current, she is keeping some special training quiet.
Bruno the Bronze
Originally built by Syhra's grandfather, Eifagibet, this little mammet had outlasted many years of conflict and hard work. Bruno is quite handy with the task of extruding ores and geodes, polishing stones, and other small duties that make Syhra's work easier. Lifetimes of experience have caused this old mammet to develop a unique personality of his own. Bruno the Bronze is a spitfire, careful and protective of "his little doe" Syhra. He is curiously drawn to bar-brawling and the pursuit of wanton, hopeless romance.
In combat, this little mammet is often underestimated. However, he proved to be useful when he accompanied the 81st in an expedition into the Crystal Tower. Laden with useful items, the mammet heeds certain commands, such as "Assist" and "Retrieve".
Update as of 1/23/16:
Bruno is currently working as one of the airship pilot-mechanics for the 81st.

The admiration Syhra holds for Ainle is oft and nearly always written on her face every time she looks his way. He is one that she would fight for and protect, even at the cost of her own life. Soon to be the father of her children, that bond has only grown stronger.
Her contact within the 81st Company, Lyfriel has shown Syhra many a kindness. Additionally, Bruno the Bronze seems to have taken a romantic interest in the married mother, going so far as to pick fights with any he sees as a threat or a nuisance to her.
Since Lyfriel's death, Syhra and Ainle have postponed their bonding--she being the one who gave them blessing in the first place. Bruno spent a number of moons in mourning, if ever there was a thing for a mammet.
For being Syhra's 'mother-in-law', the two of them have a pretty smooth relationship.
Syhra is amused by Bruno's recognition of Shopu as a sister-in-arms. She recognizes Shopu for her determination and bravery in the face of adversity, and intends to name her as a godparent to the Xihrawyn twins.
