Pronunciation: Vee-nah-lee," Though it is very often mispronounced as "Ven-nah-liss," "Droh-cell"
Nicknames/Aliases: Ven (as "Ven" and not "Veen". He prefers Ven to Veen because he thinks it sounds less stupid.)

Abilities
- Sharpshooter - His best and primary skill. He claims to be one of the best, and while that is debatable, he does seem to have excellent skill in firearms.
- Agile/Flexible - It's questionable if he has a spine sometimes.
- Hand-to-hand - Doesn't seem to favor it, but seems fairly adept at using martial arts (Most akin to Tifa in this video).
- Archery - Used to be his best skill, but with the loss of his eye, his depth perception seems to suffer some. He now isn't the worst at it, but I wouldn't hire him specifically for this.
- Improvisation - Not necessarily an ability, but he's good at making things up as he goes. This is most noticeable when he uses debris as weapons in a fight, or even moreso when he's evading someone.
- (Just a heads up that if/when gun-related jobs are added, they will be his primary skill/talent. I want this to be his main talent starting now, but there isn't much lore on it aside from one of the enemies wielding a gunblade. More to come.)

Personality
- Seems to emphasize on just 'living life' and having fun. At a glance, it would be easy to tell he's pretty outgoing and eager to meet any and all people. When it comes to his job, he seems pretty amoral about it. Doesn't have qualms with most things. He likes to help others who need it, but will let people suffer their own punishment if he thinks they deserve it. Depending on the closeness of someone to him, he can take on an almost 'mother hen' sort of persona. He becomes incredibly protective of them and has no issue using extreme violence.
- Anyone who has spent an evening with him will quickly realize he has problems sleeping. This isn't to say he doesn't sleep, but rather that he's woken up frequently by nightmares and terrors. However, he doesn't discuss the content of them. Likewise, when it comes to his past and upbringing, he becomes a little tight-lipped and reluctant to talk about it. At all. It might be easy to guess what it's related to though, if you ever saw his back! (NOTE: In-game, he has the legacy tattoo, however, ICly it is the Garlean flag's mark.)

Romance:
- Very strongly encouraged! While he considers his sexuality "opportunist" and has no qualms with sleeping around (while single), it will take a bit of work to actually get him to settle down with someone he "loves". Seems to favor guys a little more than gals, but swings for both teams.
History
- Following the unrest and Garlean occupation of Ala Mhigo in 1577, Venalis was born practically straight into their army in 1578. With nothing outside of training, he's lead a strict life. There's no time for fun! In fact, his first real experience even outside Ala Mhigo was during the time of Dalamud. He did, in fact, take place in the war- but he is reluctant to regale any tales of it or his upbringing.
- Currently, he's made his living in Ul'dah as a "jack of all trades" sort. Want to hire him to deliver a package? He'll do it. Stalk someone? He'll do it.* Need a fake date to your friend's wedding? He'll do it. Most of his time is spent either working, tinkering, or simply wandering around Thanalan.
(* While he's willing to do literally almost anything and everything, he doesn't seem to be the type to hurt anyone innocent. So unless they actually deserve it, he's probably not going to beat anyone up or anything.)
- Still often takes odd jobs, but seems to stick mostly to fishing in the La Noscea area and selling his catch. Despite having money to his name, he lives kind of like a little hobo.
- Was captured by other Garlean soldiers (for being MIA since the Calamity) and held for several moons before suddenly showing back up in the Lavender Beds. However, his escape was short-lived as a small group once more retrieved him to take back to Garlemald. Once again, he was absent for several moons. He has since returned, strangely enough, unharmed and unphased. It's almost like nothing happened to him at all! He does, however, seem to have a new job that brings in a good and steady pay. Despite attempts, Paradyme has been unable to learn just what his new job even is.

- Open for light, casual, moderate, and heavy. I dislike RPing in /tell though, because I use those for OOC questioning so as not to interrupt RP flow with [OOC brackets].
- I'm actually not sure what else to put here. I enjoy meshing both In-Game with In-Character, but I am fully aware it's not always possible or the best route. I'm very flexible with things.

- Open for all of it! I think romance is a wonderful part of creating a story. Willing to eRP, but probably not in-game. I'd really like not to accidentally post something in /say, lol. Open to any orientation, too, depending on my characters' preferences.
