Character

General

Yonene is a determined young woman. Sickly and weak as a small child, her main goal is to prove to herself, and to her parents that she is more than capable of living life to its fullest. From a young age she defied her body’s weakness. She recently picked up martial arts, and trains hard everyday to improve her skills and health. Despite this, she is still very prone to being clumsy, and has doubts of her own limitations when faced with people that she views as strong from birth.

Appearance

Being a lalafell, Yonene’s age is hard to gauge for most people. She is of average lalafell height, she is about 3 fulms short. Due to ceaseless exercise, she is rather toned for her race of people, but still a bit on the chubby side. She has dark black hair, which is naturally light brown. Her eyes are bright blue with a slight purple tint to them. While she used to be rather pale, time training out in the sun has tanned her considerably.

Behavior

Yonene is highly energetic and emotional. She has little respect for authority, having constantly defied her parents wishes of “taking it easy”. She despises being talked down to. However, overall she is friendly, if a little eccentric in how she shows her affection sometimes. She has very little understanding of social norms, as she wasn't raised in an environment where she had to get along with peers very often.

Combat

General

Yonene is highly agile, training from a very young age to improve her general mobility. Despite being rather frail and weak as a child, years of hard labor have turned her into a very durable Lalafell. She trained briefly with Hamon's pugilist guild, but continued to train with Hitari and on her own to hone her craft. After spending some time with the Thaumaturge, Arcanist, and Conjurer's guilds she has mixed in some aether manipulation into her martial arts. Though tiny, she is very fast, and uses her momentum to pack a surprising punch for her size.

Sukina Cassady -

Sukina joined the Tomial Order shortly before Yonene. She has a great deal of respect of Sukina’s raw willpower, and ability to fight. However, even Yonene thinks that Sukina has a tendency to push herself too far.

Shido Itsuka -

The primary recruiter of the Order, though he wasn’t the person to give Yonene a linkpearl. He was, however, the first person to introduce Yonene to alcohol. She claims to like it, but has never even finished one glass of any type of ale.

Hitari Senjougahara -

Hitari was the person who recruited Yonene into the Order. Yonene looks up to Hitari as a fist fighter, and wishes to learn as much from her as she can. Hitari’s tendency to be enamored by Yonene’s lalafell-style cuteness seems to make Yonene laugh moreso than anything. Yonene looks up to Hitari as a big sister, and would like nothing more than to spend time eating food and sparring with the Midlander.

Ragnar Eisenberg -

Yonene has a huge amount of respect for Ragnar, and often compares him to Magiteck Armor, rather than a Hyur. She still wishes to challenge him to a sparring match, though she has not seen him in a long time since he has left the Tomial Order.

Mylene Wharf

One of the few members of the Tomial Order that Yonene had a part in recruiting. She cares deeply for Mylene, due to her kind and sensitive nature. She enjoys fishing with Mylene when they can, though the two of their schedules do not always seem to line up.

Kelsa Tathdel

A fellow martial artist who up until recently refused to spar with Yonene. Yonene originally disliked Kelsa and thought that she disrespected the Lalafell race, due to her reason for not sparring Yonene was that she could not bring herself to punch cute things. After Hitari had fallen into a coma, Kelsa allowed herself to finally spar against the tiny fist fighter.

Enemies

Khashim Sunderfist-

A mysterious highlander who is rather off his rocker. He has caused many problems for the Tomial Order, specifically for Hitari.

History/Timeline

Before Calamity-

Yonene Yone was born a sickly child. Her parents were bakers, coming from a long line of bakers. They wanted her to follow in their footsteps, but due to her overall weakness at birth, coddled her and never allowed her out of the house. Despite this, she constantly snuck out and played games outside.

This resulted in many injuries, and worsening of her condition, but she refused to give in and continued to push on despite the scolding of her parents. Before long, she had worked herself into being healthier, but her parents were too blinded by their protectiveness to see it. Just as they were about to take more drastic measures to keep her inside, the Calamity hit.

Calamity-

On the day of the Calamity, Yonene purposely took a different escape route from her parents. She had escaped to a nearby cave during the attack with a few others. While wandering the cave, looking for food she was cornered by a single goblin. She only saw one option, fight. She narrowly won, knocking out the goblin with a lucky punch. From that day, she continued to train herself in fistfighting.

After Calamity-

In the aftermath, Yonene used the separation from her parents to become an adventurer. She has been wandering ever since, eager to make the most out of life. She found out through asking around that her parents lived through the Calamity, and set up shop in Gridania. She has since made up with them and occasionally helps out with their bakery in the Shroud.
