Overview

Eira Carter is the daughter of two prominent Ul'dahn merchants, born into riches and trade. Though at first she resented the path she was set upon by birth and sought her way in the field of Thaumaturgy, an accident has created an imbalance in her aether, causing an Umbral shift that has made her study difficult and, at times, dangerous. Without proper guidance, it has been set aside as she has tried to mature and resume her role as a princess of Ul'dahn trade.

She is now the head of the White Tiger Trading Company and has set her time to making herself a successful young woman.

Appearance

Though perhaps not impressive in height, Eira Carter is not in any way lacking in presence. She stands with poise and charismatic posture that presents her authority and high societal status as well as any additional ilms would, and such is only emphasized by her elegant mannerisms and propriety. Were simple posturing not enough to distinguish Miss Carter as one of Ul'dah's young financial elite, the refined silks of vibrant colors, sewn in extravagant fashion and decorated in lavish jewelry of gold, brass, and gems do not fail to point out the fact that she is a rich woman and isn't afraid to show her success.

Beyond simply appearing to be wealthy, confident, and a successful young woman, however, Eira is identifiable as Ul'dahn in heritage. Her skin is a sun-kissed tan naturally, paired with what was once solidly black hair of the darkest hue. Now, however, the tips are unnaturally frosted white whether by choice or accident, and eyes that were once vibrant blue are now heavily silvered with only the faintest hint of what had been before painted in her iris. Her cheeks are speckled with freckles despite her darker complexion, with a beauty mark to grace the lower left corner of her painted lips.

No scars or tattoos can be seen, though in accordance with her love of jewelry, a navel piercing is noticeable if caught wearing the proper belly-baring attire.

One of the first people she encountered at the Exchange, Admi has become one of Eira's few 'friends', and remains one of the closest even among those. She's become quick to worry over, spoil, and preen the other woman, her needs for personal space not as strong in her company.

An auri associate met through the Glowfly Exchange, Eira has found Tessa's company overall pleasant and amicable. However, after the Xaela made a rather bold accusation of the very proper merchant's sex life, it became rather clear that Eira has quite a bit of adjusting to do if she wants to continue to comfortably remain in this particular woman's company since they have very different ideas of what's acceptable to talk about.

Another of Eira's hires, Ayla was picked up in Gridania with the purpose of serving as a courier for the White Tiger. Her enthusiasm and self-providing security are both valuable assets to to Eira, though she does wonder about the woman's peculiar love of hats.

Eira has had a few mixed feelings about this particular lalafell, but so far, but it has definitely swayed toward the positive. Perhaps she doesn't understand his strange fascination with pumpkins, or why he sleeps outside and talks to plants, but is rather drawn by his otherwise intelligent business tactics and experience. Also pumpkin pie.

A Xaela that Eira had chanced upon in a misadventure away from her caravan in the woods. While at first he didn't seem to be a threat, things quickly began to escalate and become hostile between the two due to confusion and mental warfare, leaving the woman rather traumatized by the encounter due to obvious physical disadvantage and what was perceived as a narrow escape.

In honor of their first meeting, Eira's feelings toward Lacroix are contradictory. She enjoys the man's intellect and cunning, but what she perceives as a shady nature and her skepticism in his line of work leave her doubting. What is evident, though, is that both sides of that coin fuel a dangerous curiosity about him.

Because Altessa's charming way with destroying her dignity with her indecent topics wasn't enough, Eira was graced with meeting Tafah! Masterful in his innuendo, he is quite skilled at flustering the prissy woman, but like Tess, Eira tends to enjoy his playful and friendly company despite the trauma that he inflicts upon her proper and innocent soul.

Talon is a well established adventurer from Gridania that Eira has set her sights on for his talent in treasure hunting, though she's been unable to net the man in a solid partnership. However, she appreciates the rare business he does bring her, even if he's wary of becoming an official associate.

Roleplay Preferences... I am a rather casual RP partner in terms of what I want or expect from RP; more often than not, I will simply mirror what it is that you present me with. I am fine with paragraphs, I am fine with one-liners. I enjoy long term and short term character interaction and involvement and I'm typically open to most plots and themes, including mature ones. All I ask is that if a plot or scene might become a bit too mature that you speak with me first. I'm friendly, I promise :)

Roleplay Restrictions... I do not enjoy engaging in RP with people that abuse godmoding, powerplay, or metagaming, and I will likely exit an RP if I feel cornered by any of the above. I also will not RP mutilation (does not include all injury; moderate damage is fine), rape, or death of my character without my OOC consent.

IC Frequency... I am the notorious bored alt-tabber! Therefore, please don't consider me IC unless I have the RP tag displayed on my name as my attention is likely engaged elsewhere. Do, however, feel free to shoot me a /tell and I will get back to you as soon as I see it! Even if we miss a chance to RP right away I wouldn't mind chatting and setting up another opportunity for our characters to meet another time.
