Pia was always ready to aid Saikha in what little ways she could - be it guiding to the distant ruins of Sharlayan, or offering encouragement when the Oronir first met of her future husband. This support and care has continued even after Saikhantuyaa returned from Othard with Sorocan's death weighing deeply upon her heart. Though Pia has grown within the ranks of the Twin Adders and is oftentimes away now patrolling Baelsar's Wall, still she finds the time to check in on her 'sister' - one of few steadfast and constant supports for a widow drowning in sorrow. She made a stark impression upon Saikhantuyaa, confused as to the thaumaturge's dressing in what Saikha considered as 'garb of the pointed-ear people'. However, despite Irys' fairly neutral and lukewarm disposition, Saikhantuyaa left with a good feeling from their meeting. The next time she was seen, it was during a shared meal Sorocan put together - and from there, a friendship has built between them. Irys had even found a nickname for the Oronir woman... a seeming right of passage for any who would count themselves in the xaela's good graces. Though an upset took place during a Starlight-themed performance, in which Irys prompted too early a confession from Sorocan to Saikhantuyaa... all was forgiven, and the woman put in good spirits once more. Saikha's relations with Irys - and her partner, Kyuzo - grew stronger as the months went by. Despite the Mankhad's often blunt and dry personality, Saikha considers her one of her closest friends and trusts Irys deeply.
