Zasha in the Ishguard Prisons

On the Twenty seventh sun of the Fourth Umbral Moon, Farrson Odim brought Zasha to the Order of the Sword and Rose barely able to sit up and knowing nothing of the common tongue. He found her starving and barely alive in an Ishguardian Prison when on a mission from another employer. With the promise to bring Zasha to the Ul'dahn Syndicate to retire from his work and involvement with them, he decided to ignore the details of his contract and bring her to his Free Company's care as he noticed how aetherically imbalanced she was and believed she was desired to be turned into some kind of weapon.

Due to a deep scar on her head noticed by Konner Kinkaid, the Order's leader, it was soon the safe assumption that Zasha suffered from amensia and for x amount of cycles locked away in the dungeon did nothing in helping her regain any memory or even know language. Through the experiments of another member, Amelia, it was discovered that exposing her to language and activity helped brush away a lot of the mental dust she had though as she relearned the common tongue, her speech pattern began to become a melting pot of the rest of the member's own personal speech patterns.

Standing only four fulms and nine ilms, Zasha is very petite compared to most others around her and has earned the nickname amoung some as the 'Eighty Ponze of Fury' due to her strong will in such a small body. A deep scar runs diagonally on her forehead and has bright red hair that is very soft to the touch. Blue streaks lay in her hair that hold a different texture all together and light up and pulse different colors when she channels aether in any way. Her ivory skin shows a lack of sun and is very delicate so it can get cut or bruised very easily. Her aetheryte blue colored doe like eyes tend to be one of the first features many notice as well.

At the corner of her right eye a tattoo is present that has been revealed to be some sort of seal that breaks when she's under extreme amounts of stress and repairs when she experiences moments of true happiness. The current known colors in order of seals is clear,blue, purple, pink, and gold.

Almost every single one of Zasha's emotions and behavioral patterns are mimics of the people she is exposed to. When coming out of the Ishguard Prison, as she calls "The Dark Place" to many others, she knew nothing of what to do other than sit and lay down very still like many of the corpses around her that had been long forgotten in the prisons. Excelling in mimicry, Zasha learned the common tongue by listening to speech patterns and meshing all the surrounding forms of speech into her own personal which often comes off as broken, doll like, and childish.

With the ability to hear, see, and touch aether around her as well, Zasha can look at a spell that could take someone many moons to master and copy it with ease in a moment by mimicking the way they manipulated the aether around them to copy cast the spell herself. Aerostein and Anne'ya, well versed aether casters, have taken to teaching her but going through special precautions to keep their lessons from being her copying their own actions and forcing her to learn and practice spells through her own ability and not the mimic of others.

As she has matured and learned more of the world around her and how to interact, mostly, properly with those around her all her her emotions and thought processes are mimics as well. Depending on what she believes the other person wants to see and hear in a situation has on a few occasions offered a merry smile when the mood is sad or a furrowed brow with the mood is happy when she misinterprets what she believes the situation calls for.

Ryu when not fully summoned

During times of great amounts of stress that cause Zasha's seals to break and change color, another side of her comes out that retains all her memories of her time before the Ishguard Prisons. Anne'ya has named this side of Zasha as "Other Zasha".

Other Zasha is serious, sharp tongued, judgmental, and filled with fury when others have come across her. She's very fast to deliever insults and tries her best to make everyone that speaks to her, hate her. The only time she's shown a softer side was the few times she has spoke with Felix Drake, even confessing to him that she was a necessity that Zasha herself created at the age of three to protect her from something called The Red Curse. There are times that she will come out during moments of extreme stress and channel the signature abilities of primals that Zasha has been exposed to and seem to take on their personality and temperament as well until the threat that caused her to act in such a way has disappeared.

While Other Zasha is completely aware, intelligent, and the retainer of all old memories, Zasha herself has no knowledge of her existance and often meets others with confusion if they try to tell her about Other Zasha and will not remember what happened around her that created the stress that brought forth Other Zasha. In a conversation between Other Zasha and Astorin, Other Zasha told Astorin that the real Zasha was simply asleep when he demanded to know where she went.

Other Zasha also has an odd attunement to Zasha's Carbuncle, Ryu, which gives Zasha the ability to summon the carbuncle without the use of a focus. Ryu seems to have an advanced intelligence over other summoned beast and shows an increase of strength and agility as well, especially when he morphs into knock off versions of a summoner's egi. Zasha herself seems aware, speaking another language that only is understood by Ryu and she explained to Deirdre, Astorin, and Felix that if Ryu is to be hurt she, she would feel the pain as well.

Zasha channeling Primal Aether

When Other Zasha channels aether that Zasha has absorbed from a primal, she enters something that can only be described as a "Primal Form" loosing herself to the Primal's essence and aether as she begins to wield their power and strength for very short amounts of time. Each time she enters a Primal Form, two seals will break instead of the standard one that breaks when Other Zasha comes out herself.

Primal Form Shiva: When Zasha enters this form, her hair will change to silver and enter a serene state of mind that is passive and with purpose. Many of her abilities she casts become defensive to protect others around her while casting Shiva's ability Diamond Dust as her only offensive ability aside from projectile Ice Shards she'll cast to knock back enemies.

Primal Form Odin: When Zasha enters this form, her hair will change to black as she enters a single purpose mind set for revenge. She is rutheless, impatient, and heavy damage. She can create a blade out of Odin's aether and use his signature ability Zantetsuken. Her abilities leave her defense low and open for attack however.

★ Known Seals ★

  Zasha's first seal, the hardest seal to regain and the most terrifying to break. It is like an incubator for the rest of the seals, hiding the mark on her face and making the blue streaks in her hair disappear as well.

  Zasha's second seal, the most standard of her seals and can rest at this state comfortably for a long time. Each time Zasha attunes to a primal, it will reset her seals back to blue making many believe for the longest time this was the first seal until Other Zasha explained to Astorin that the seal in Gold was the Fifth Seal, meaning Blue would have to have been the second in the count down.

  Zasha's third seal, she was found in the Ishguard Prison with this seal in place.

  Zasha's fourth seal, notably Zasha's favorite color in seals as she doesn't realize their true complexity. Other Zasha begins to show up more for minor stresses without breaking a seal but can only remain there to aid in those small stresses for short amounts of time before Zasha takes back control.

  Zasha's fifth seal, she begins to suffer from fevers rather frequently at this seal and quicker to catch illness when a bug or virus is going through the Order halls. Other Zasha has the choice to take control if Zasha is asleep, but will avoid doing so if she feels there is no one she needs to speak to help get Zasha's seals to go back above the Gold color. The seal comes in a metalic gold color compared to the dulled colors of the rest of the seals.

Konner Kinkaid giving Zasha a Tin Horse

The first thought among most when they encounter Zasha is they believe her to be "simple", having her called a 'child' to more motherly figures. When she was first to come to the Order of the Sword and Rose, many took to interacting with her like she was a young child while others realized there was a deeper thought process to her past her ability to learn through mimicking.

People like Quarimar, Deirdre, or Konner took to her intelligence in the views of a child and helped with her learning of the world around her. Konner even going as far as giving Zasha a tin horse to play with to encourage her more creative side of the mind like a young child would do. People like Aerostein and Farrson focusing on the deeper thoughts and philosophical views she has to even seek advice and guidance from her. When she is given the chance to expand her mind, it becomes apparent that Zasha has a genius IQ and a tactician's mind. Once she understands what the conversation at hand is about, and she chooses to join in as a participating speaker, it can startle and even leave some unsettled by how thick a grasp she has to a subject that she was asking questions on not moments before. Especially when it has to do with war and battle strategy.

Friends ● ♥ Farrson Odim – A brother in all but blood to her, Zasha is fiercly loyal and protective of Farrson as he was the one to save her from the "Dark Place". Eternally in a war of pranks, Zasha tends to show her more mischievous side when she's setting a prank to Farrson in the truest sibling form. ● ♥ Konner Kinkaid – It was revealed that Zasha was the daughter Kin had given away to preserve her life when he was escaping from his homeland. Zasha is very attached to him, and tends to not realize how strict or stern he can be when leading the Order of the Sword and Rose and will call him Daddy in front of strangers with little care. ● ♥ C'rhisi Tohbei – Rhisi, or Mommy Rhisi as Zasha has began to call her by, is one of Zasha's best friends. They entered into a relationship together shortly after he was finished teaching her the basics of conjury and decided to keep their relationship rather quiet at first because of the over protective nature of the Order when concerned with Zasha. ● Marina D'arca – Farrson's other half as Zasha would label it, Zasha finds comfort with Marina as they are both able to see aether. She feels less different when Marina is around, and it brings her a measure of comfort as they both have suffered several trials together thus far. ● Aerostein Epitaph – Her main teacher for conjury, Zasha is often rather fascinated when speaking with him. He challenges her mind and gets her into deeper philosophical debates. She has a large respect for him. ● Alicia Stone – A woman with a tragic past, Zasha doesn't understand why Alicia often calls her a monster or why she tells Zasha she should fear her. She feels the need to help Alicia see that she has more worth in her than this and is often called Little Bird by her. ● Wa'yandih Nuhn – Zasha often enjoys talking with Wa'yandih, and is one of the only people she's agreed to share acholoh with during a casual occasion, granted she wasn't aware that was what they were drinking.

Acquaintances ● Sethaner Somerville – A highlander that Zasha often enjoys speaking with on rare occassions. While she doesn't realize it, Seth is usually giving her overly complicated stories on how things work and is usually rather traumatizing in how he goes about showing examples as such. ● Ciel Wulfe – Finding her very elegant and beautiful, Zasha is often a bit intimidated in approaching Ciel at risk of feeling like a bother to her. From a distance however, Zasha loves to listen to Ciel sing and play instruments. ● Kale Aideron – While having a rocky start, Zasha is rather fond of Kale after he helped comfort her on a trip to some ruins to help Farrson. She often keeps a distance from him, worried that she might upset him however. ● Aimee Peltier – Zasha considers Aimee's aether the most beautiful aether signature she's ever seen, and tries to build a friendship with her. However, due to poor timing on Zasha's part she often misses opportunities to speak with Aimee. Zasha picked up conjury with the hopes that she can help Aimee one day in the Order's medical ward. ● Jonathan Grayve – After Johnathan had made a passing joke about smiting Zasha as he misheard her speaking and believed for a time that she was of some wraith or spiritual creature, Zasha is very scared of Johnathan. She tries to overcome it as he's made strides to prove to her he would never think of harming her, but there are times he jumps out to be playful with people around her and she grows uncomfortable. ● Via Delarosa – Cute and quirky, Zasha loves Via but mostly from a distance. Timing has never been right for Zasha as she's never been able to hold a conversation with Via but she always finds herself curious of the energetic woman. ● Ryvin Syn – Despite how fond the elezen seems to be of Zasha, Zasha often feels confused by her as she doesn't understand how Ryvin can foretell the future by playing with cards.
