Background

M'ikal doesn't talk much of his life back in the tribe, and when asked why he left, he usually gives a vague answer about a disagreement between him and his father. Upon coming to Ul'dah, the youth was almost overwhelmed with everything, both fascinated and terrified by all he saw. However, he would quickly come to meet Rick Fairchild, who took the young Seeker under his wing, feeding him, paying for his inn room, and teaching him the basics like reading and writing. Through interactions with Rick and his other friends, slowly the young Seeker began to come out of his shell, and today is a bit more confident than in times past.

Appearance

There is a definite feminine edge to his form. One might notice the overall softness of his form, padding over the muscle beneath that allows him to perform his martial arts as a monk. His hips flare out just slightly, much as a female's. His hair hangs to about his shoulders, dyed a rich, vibrant royal purple with collubri pink highlights. His tail, covered in short, but very soft fur, sports similar coloration, and his ears are tipped in pink. Generally seen sporting a lip paint in some shade of purple, with orchid being his favorite, and eyeshadow of a salmon pink, or some other shade of pink, M'ikal is not one easily forgotten when seen. It can probably be safe to assume he is tesosterone deficient.

Personality

M'ikal at one point was extremly shy, to a severe fault where he'd crouch in a corner and not approach anyone, hoping to be overlooked. As his time in Ul'dah grew and with confidence boosts from his friends, M'ikal is still perhaps a little on the shy side, though not nearly as timid. He is still relatively quiet, and hesitant about approaching others first, preferring to observe and absorb knowledge that way. However, once engaged in conversation, he can actually be quite chatty, depending on the subject. Overall he is a kind-hearted, happy and spirited youth with a definite sense of right and wrong. And though he gives the impression of weakness with his general personality and physical appearance, he actually has quite a feral protective side, and will rise up to protect those he considers friends. He tends to have a short attention span, often easily getting distracted by things... sounds, bugs, birds.. something shiny. However, he can use focus when needs be.

Religion

He does not vocalize about it, but finds comfort at times in following Azyma the Warden. However, it is still likely as not a very loose following.

Quirks

• He often dresses up in more feminine clothing. When he does so, he often confuses people by referring to himself as "she" and "her" and has been mistaken for a female from a distance before. He also seems to enjoy being referred to as a female when dressed in such attire. While his way of speaking has greatly improved, he still often has trouble with pronouns like "I", "you", etc and will often replace with proper nouns such as his name, the person's name he is speaking to, and other nouns. Sometimes his sentence structure is garbled and he will often regress back to more primitive ways of speaking when under stress or sometimes overly excited. At these times, he will stutter to, as he often does when nervous. Unlike many other Miqo'te, M'ikal doesn't seem to be the "prowling" type, but rather, seeks out friends and often is heard speaking about one day finding a mate of his own.

Combat

M'ikal did not know much about fighting when he first came to Ul'dah, but has since adapted well to the fighting style of the monk, using aetheric energies to unlock chakras and to hone both mind and body to use as a weapon. He decided he'd need to learn to defend himself, since he couldn't always rely on his friends to protect him. He has also dabbled lightly into the wielding of a pole arm, and finds that suits him well also, though primarily he still prefers the fighting style of the Monk.

Positive Standing

Rick Fairchild - Rick was one of M'ikal's first real friends when the young Seeker made it to the city. He is unsure what drew the charming hyur to him, but M'ikal found a friend and teacher in Rick. Rick would pay for his meals, even the room he slept in at the Hourglass, and tolerated the young Miqo'te's endless questions with patience and good grace. He taught M'ikal how to read and write (thanks to Rick, M'ikal learned glasses help him read better) and has been a source of comfort and praise for the youth for a while now. Of course, M'ikal has developed a bit of a crush, though it seems to be a one-sided affair, but M'ikal will not give up his friend for anything. Recently. he played an important part in helping Rick get rid of a monster that threatened to destroy who the Hyur was, at the cost of many precious memories. Fortunately M'kial found all Rick's journals, and has been trying to help him recover those lost memories whenever he can.

Liam Connor - A rough and ragged Hyur the young Miqo'te met through Rick. Liam is often there to help look out for M'ikal, acting as a sort of body guard and protector when M'ikal is unable to reach Rick.

Leli'sae Mersalah - A dark-skinned pirate Keeper M'ikal met one day while doing his favorite past time of people watching in the Quicksand. Though a little rough, Leli as M'ikal calls him has a definate rugged charm that somehow appeals to the young Miqo'te. He loves listening to Leli's stories and a friendship quickly blossomed between the pair. He now can be seen with Leli almost as often as Rick, if not moreso sometimes, but is confused what he might feel for the Keeper, if he feels anything at all. Leli usualy refers to M'ikal as "lass" and never hesitates to make the youth blush at every possible opportunity.

U'quih Tia - Another one met early on, this fellow Seeker seemed to take pity on M'ikal when he found the youth cowering in a corner of the Quicksand one day. Offering him a meal, and a room as well, M'ikal will never forget that show of kindess. Though he doesn't see U'Quih as often as he'd like, the other Seeker has been there when M'ikal needs him, either as a shoulder to cry on, a friendly ear to listen to his woes, and sometimes even tries to offer advice to the youth when asked.

Tahni'sae Farreihm - A somewhat shy and yet somehow imposing Keeper M'ikal met one day while at the Quicksand having drinks with Leli. Learned they share a common friend in the Keeper A'xun as well as M'ikal's budding Monkhood aspirtations, "Sae" as he is called, offered to be the young Seeker's mentor, to guide him further and help hone his fighting ability to the best it could be.

Jethas Zykyri - A Miqo'te he met in the Quicksand one day, Jethas seemed amused by M'ikal's antics, along with those of Rick and Leli, who were with him at the time. Jethas has since seemed to be keen on being the young Seeker's friend, accepting the youth's quirks without question. He has also at times come to the defense of young M'ikal at times when the Seeker finds himself at odds. In addition to Jethas, there are the Keeper's many friends whom M'ikal is trying to become acquainted with, figuring he can't have to many good friends, and the crowd Jethas associates with seem like good types.

Neutral Standing

A'xun Enocan - A Keeper of an unusual dusky blue, M'ikal was accepted by A'xun without question based on a few words from U'Quih. Truthfully, the Keeper scares him a little, and he doesn't cross paths with him often, preferring the more friendly and open personality of the Keeper's mate.

Samantha Goldsmith - A polite and pleasant-seeming Hyur woman whom M'ikal has had pleasant conversation with. One of the first to recognize immediately that M'ikal likes being referred to as a female when dressed, he thinks well of her, but is also cautious, owing to some things he heard from a friend.

Devin Grey - A quiet, unassuming young Keeper, though a few years older than M'ikal who was met through A'xun and U'quih. Initial meetings were awkward at best, with both youth being overly shy and not very social, but eventually they found ways to talk and communicate. M'ikal is protective of Devin, even forgetting his own shyness one day when the youth was beset by cruel bullies in the Quicksand..

Reina Dancer - A young Hyur woman who won "points" in the young Seeker's eyes by helping him fend off the bad people who were scaring Devin at the Quicksand. They still sometimes cross paths and are on friendly enough terms..
