- Gil, and anything worth Gil.
- Fishing.
- Magitek.
- Overly-sensitive people.
- Marmots.
- Being lectured.
- Vegetables.
- Tenacious, never-give-up attitude.
- Cooking and preparation of fish-related dishes.
- Clever and cunning, if often unorthodox.
- Subject to poor decision-making.
- Inherent dependence on Tessa Kenesa.
- Lacking interpersonal skills.
- Losing his family.
- His past catching up to him.
- When mentioning equipment, Anaguma will use a verb as if it were a noun to describe it. For example; His daggers are not called daggers, they are his stabbers.
- When heavily intoxicated and Tessa Kenesa is present, he will start putting "the moves" on her as if they've never met before.
- He will sometimes devise an overly-complicated and idiotic plan that is doomed to fail, in order to perform a simple task.
- His methods are very mundane. For example, rather than utilising a manufactured drug to subdue a target, he'd force them to drink vast quantities of alcohol instead.

Anaguma is opposed to the traditional guerilla tactics of his shinobi brethren, preferring the more rough and tumble approach of Limsa Lominsa. To help him accomplish this, his chosen arms are his Red Misericordes, specially forged of high steel with the necessary curvature required for parrying and acrobatics.
When pushed, the thin limbal rings in Anaguma's eyes will burn a bright crimson. But when pushed to his absolute limit, a third eye of this bright crimson and akin to a Garlean's, will appear on his forehead. A symbol of both enlightenment to the shinobi arts, and a mockery of his true ancestry.
In terms of skill, Anaguma is a jonin-level ninja and thus can be compared the likes of Yugiri Mistwalker, though it is unlikely he will emerge victorious against her in a duel. While incredibly talented, he does not possess a Limit Break skill on the scale as how the game portrays them, nor any previously unheard of ninjutsu (morphing into a tiger, becoming a 20 fulm tall monstrosity etc).
The product of Naldiq & Vymelli's, specially forged using high steel. Purposed for duelling, as opposed to assassination.
A mysterious heirloom passed down throughout eras. Said to have first originated from Shinobi-no-sato during the time of Sasuke.
A shinobi's escape tools. Anaguma has crafted his own, but using local Lominsan ingredients...predominantly black powder.
The Kenesa Clan can only trace their history back several moons, they were formed in the mountains of Gyr Abania after the phyrric victory against a necromancer. On that night there was no ceremony to commemorate the occasion, nor was there a fellowship of shinobi, nor any witnesses for that matter. On a cold night with only a warm fire as company was the clan formed by Anaguma Kenesa, now the first Lord of the Kenesa Clan. But with possession of Otonabe's Soul, the clan can claim their lineage several hundred years as descendants of Sasuke, the legendary progenitor of all Doman shinobi.
Non-traditional and homegrown are words for what this clan best represents, remorse for once shunning away one's Eastern heritage in favour of the Limsa Lominsa lifestyle. It can also be surmised that this "clan" is like every other young family living out of an apartment. While technically correct, the people within this family are no less than extraordinary individuals.
CLOTHING: Unlike the more notable Doman clans such as the Fuma and the Iga, the Kenesa Clan does not adopt an official uniform for itself. Instead the clan embraces its grassroots origins by making do with one's current possessions and sense of self. So whether it be cloth, leather, or plated armour, a member of the clan simply adorns their current wear with a red tapestry of Far Eastern textiles.
SIGIL: The Kenesa Clan adopts the Ke character of the Doman alphabet, being the first syllable of 'Kenesa' at surface level. Depending on the person, it can be interpreted that the character symbolises a parent and child, or a master and student in its imagery. The four red markings flickering around the Ke represent the clan's four tenets, their use of the red adornments, and Far Eastern magicks.
TENETS:
- Your family will never forget you.
- Never reveal yourself or your motives, but always be ready for anything.
- Those you hate may just become those you love.
- Who you are is your greatest strength, let it be your power.
CURRENT MEMBERS:
- Anaguma Kenesa, First Lord
- Tessa Kenesa, First Lady
- Genevieve Ephiny-Rei Kenesa
A smaller, more condensed Bhavacakra. A red sphere of unaspected aether similar to both a Rasengan and Spirit Ball.
Anaguma's version of a Huton technique where instead, one's own Ninki is primed to empower the user.
Since 1528 the Garlean warmachine had swept across the eastern continent, twenty-four years of subjugation to most, and utter obliteration to defiant. It was now that the Empire stood at the crux of total conquest in Othard, their final target now lay before them across the One River. All attempts to cross the threshold of the Dairyu Moon Gates by air had ended in failure, due to aetheric disruption caused by the collective efforts of Doma's geomancers and shinobi. And so a traditional approach had to be made, a vanguard force tasked with annexing the Yanxian hamlets along the riverbanks, labourers for the hasty construction of Castrum Fluminis, the Empire's spearhead into Doma proper. This vanguard battalion, led by young Centurio Atticus quo Ferrum, advanced through the region with ruthless efficiency. With his command, those who would not work on the construction were publicly put to the sword. However Atticus was a demon of a man, prone to complacent behaviour once comfortable with his position. Drunk on his own power and ruthlessness would he breach military conduct, on numerous occasions giving in to his base desires and taking his female prisoners against their will. One such victim, a fisherwoman named Hairi Kenesa, found herself an unfortunate casualty of Atticus' heinous actions.
It was during this time that the people of Doma acted, they could not sit idly as the foundations were laid for their eventual demise. So in the dead of night, several clans of shinobi unified and lay ambush to the unsuspecting Imperial forces. In an effort to free their countrymen and halt the Fluminis project, would they not hesitate to offer their lives. Whilst the shinobi possessed the martial prowess their conscripted opposition did not, they were no match for their opposition's superior numbers and technology. The casualties suffered by both sides were catastrophic by the battle's conclusion, Atticus learned firsthand that his lapse in ethic caused the embarrassment of a pyrrhic victory, his first ever. For the next twenty-five years, he would not forget his exchange with one particular shinobi during the fighting, the one with the red eyes.
Morale suffered greatly once news of defeat spread to Doma. While it was only a matter of time before the enemy would be at the gates, dozens of Doma's most respected warriors and teachers had all perished, and for naught. That was the true defeat.
But unbeknownst to both sides, and hidden deep within the misty peaks of Yanxia, Doma had secured a minor victory. The one with the red eyes, a shinobi named Soujirou Endo had survived, successfully extracting ten prisoners of war, including a pregnant Hairi Kenesa. Despite the prisoners protestations Soujirou would not escort them to the capital, for it was inevitable that Doma would be soon lost to her invaders. To a hidden copse known only to few would he take them, along the One River and to the open ocean. A life free of terror and oppression would not be found in the Far East, it lay to the west.
As if by some miracle did the small band of refugees avoid capture as the One River led them to the Ruby Sea, and onward to the open ocean. While the impoverished passengers felt incredibly blessed for their good fortune, they remained on the brink of starvation for the much of the journey west. It was soon discovered that their shinobi saviour, Soujirou, possessed a soul crystal that he revealed was known as 'Otonabe's Soul.' This soul of Otonabe promptly became an idol of worship, the refugees desperately beseeching the Kami within for their continued deliverance. The shinobi reasoned it best to build upon these beliefs rather than stymie them, and as the wielder of Otonabe, encouraged the Domans earn the Kami's favour rather than simply pray for it. Soujirou was successful as over the passing moons did the Domans collectively become adept as sailors and navigators, earning their right to survive this arduous journey.
It was during this time Hairi's pregnancy became increasingly evident. Ashamed and fearful of retribution for what had transpired, the woman would lie about her child's parentage, unfortunately slowly arousing a quiet suspicion. One man was empathetic to her plight, a kind man named Tanzan who himself caring for his infant nephew, Kazuma. In preparation for her own child would Hairi learn by caring for Kazuma.
Nine full moons since leaving Othard would the refugee vessel reach the coast of Vylbrand, bound for the coastal city of Limsa Lominsa. Hairi, now heavily pregnant, began to go into labour in the straits of the Rhotano Sea. The vessel was easily spotted by pirates whom were quickly able to board, ready to slaughter the crew and plunder their hold. But they did not find a crew nor plunder aboard, Their prize was a single man in an exotic garb fiercely defending a huddled group of people, one of whom was clutching her stomach in birthing pains. The pirates took pity on the refugees and towed the small vessel into Galadion Bay, their crew's chirurgeon attending to pregnant woman.
A child was born late into the night, a boy with bright blonde hair and eyes like ice. All who gazed upon the child knew that the boy's true father was that Imperial demon, Atticus Ferrum, there was no doubt. The vessel docked in Limsa Lominsa's Lower Decks and Hairi disembarked, with no knowledge of this foreign city and wracked with guilt did she abandon her son and the people she came to call her family. Talks took place on what to do with the bastard child and all were in agreement it be put down, though none had the heart to perform the deed. And so it was decided the boy would be raised alongside Kazuma. He was given his mother's surname, Kenesa, so he may one day find her. As for his first name, Doman tradition demanded a child be named after an ancestor, Soujirou named him Anaguma.

An unlikely spouse for a person of Anaguma's breed, and someone he so vehemently despised for a time. "Tessa" is the woman he can't live without, and the mother of his daughter. Though the nature of their personalities can spiral their relationship out of control at times, everything Anaguma does, he does so for Tessa. |
NPC : Genevieve Ephiny Rei Kenesa, Infant daughter.
|

"Eva" is the daughter of Anaguma and Tessa. The girl has her father's crystal blue eyes, and her mother's vibrant blonde hair. The nature of her birth hints she may be gifted, though Anaguma's priority is to raise her the way he never was. Something he was denied but longed for in his childhood. |
Aurelia quo Ferrum, Half Sister. ●
|
---|
The only legitimate child of Atticus and the commanding officer of the Ferrum's private House legion. She met her younger brother once only, and feels incredibly slighted that her father seems to favour a scornful, illegitimate bastard child rather than his own daughter. |
NPC : Atticus sas Ferrum, Father. ●
|

In his lowest moments Atticus is the man whom Anaguma holds responsible for everything that has ever gone wrong in his life. The noble Garlean has tried numerous times to build a rapport with his estranged son, though even in the best of times Anaguma reluctant to accept his offers. |
NPC : ???, Mother. ?●

Anaguma hasn't the faintest idea of who his mother is, but resents her for abandoning him. |
NPC : Xanatyr Blacke, Necromancer. ⚔✖

A Highlander Hyur whom ran the The Ala Mhigo Home for Women and Girls out of his own estate, a refuge for women affected by the Imperial annexure of Gyr Abania. For years the charity was but a front to lure in the meek and siphon the life out of them. Wanting to see the man brought to justice, Tessa Kenesa dispatched Anaguma and her ward, Ephiny Zora, to confront the necromancer and eliminate him. The pair succeeded, however Ephiny and several dozen of Xanatyr's victims perished. The sole survivor among them a girl of thirteen summers. |

- ■ "Management here at Mealvann's Gate is well aware what the dagger tattoo on our employee's face represents. However we are also well aware that they are independent contractor and for the wages they ask, handle their work with aplomb. So if my response is unsatisfactory and you'd like to take the matter further, please direct your complaint to the front desk." - R'baharra.
- ■ "Every damn fisherman in Limsa comes ta' me early each sun, beggin' tha' I buy their catches. Problem is, it's always the same three kinds a' fish. Gobies, herrings, an' damn anchovies. I can't make good Gil with only three products, but tha's where me best lad comes in. If yer in the market fer a haul a' blue octopus, 'Naguma's yer man. He's the only one good at catchin' 'em." - Lominsan Fishmonger.

- ■ "Jimothy, was it? Let's recap on your testimony here. You and your...lads as you put it, began to harass a patron of the Drowning Wench. Wishing to avoid confrontation the man left, but all eight of you weren't quite finished and followed him. Alright and from there is where I struggle to follow...You say you all surrounded him, attempted to mug him, and threatened to leave him bloodied on the cobblestones. So he...so he split himself into three, beat all eight of you, and took all of your gil for his lady of the wind? Listen, Jimothy...I'm no fool. You and the lads downed enough ale to see three people, and in the throes of alcoholism stumbled to Anchor Point where one of you had the merry idea of donating your purses to our navigator, Llymlaen...And of course, you all started beating each other senseless. That'll be another sennight in the brig for each of you." - Yellowjacket Sergeant.

- ■ Mealvann's Gate Anaguma is often hired by the Arcanists Guild to act as a labour to unload docked ships. Your character could be a sailor, a fellow employee, an arcanist, or simply a bystander.
- ■ Lominsa's Lower Decks The dagger tattoo on Anaguma's cheek represents a pre-Calamity gang sign, often displayed on the cheek of young ruffians. Perhaps you recognise it as a local, or are simply curious.
- ■ Keeping a low profile A reward for the "safe return" of Aetius Ferrum has been broadcast across most Imperial communication channels. The communicae originated directly from Tribunis Angusticlavius Atticus sas Ferrum himself, of the noble House Ferrum in Garlemald. Perhaps an imperial sympathiser or independent party will recognise that Anaguma fits Aetius' description.
- ■ From the Far East With his ice blue eyes and brown-blonde hair, Anaguma's name is the only thing that insinuates he has Far Eastern ancestry. Certain characters may recognise subtle tells that give away his identity as shinobi.
- ■ Combat. This depends on the characters, but I typically follow the honour system when fighting another character that shares combat expertise. If your character cannot fight and there is a scenario involving combat, I reserve my right to swap to freeform. While Anaguma is incredibly skilled I will tone him down in most cases to provide a fair encounter, but if he gets desperate he will actually put effort to win. I may switch to freeform here, if the skill difference is very large and made apparent. See the Combat tab for more info.
- ■ Lore is law. While I can understand the lore of FFXIV is somewhat lazily written and I sympathise with those whom have a particular fantasy they want to play, we need to adhere to the rules of this universe. I do enjoy clever lore bending but I will not accept Mary Sue/Gary Stu-type characters, circumstances that reasonably shouldn't be possible, or situations where lore is willingly ignored. Honest mistakes are perfectly okay and I'm happy to assist you in course correction, however if this is becomes an issue I will have to conclude the scenario.
- ■ Creative standards. Please have some form of source material available, whether it be an RPC like this one, a Carrd, or a Tumblr page. I have put a lot of love and effort into my characters, and I prefer to RP with like-minded players. I understand some characters are quite new and I will not take issue, we were all new once.
- ■ Writing standards. Please put some thought and effort into what you post, and make use of proper grammar. Even if it takes a little longer to post, thoughtful words are what make a scenario great.
- ■ Acceptable Themes. I am good for most mature and dark themes, but please ask before extremes such as erotic themes or disfigurement. I will not roleplay death, or anything involving minors.
