Appearance

Aran'sae has slate-colored dark skin that contrasts with his bright white and blue hair. He has very soft features, especially his eyes, which are heterochromatic. His tail is long and thin, a trait he shares with his mother. Like both of his parents, he is fairly short. He is oft found in a long robe adorned in small satchels and pouches, with a circlet of twigs and leaves wrapped around his forehead.

History

Aran'sae was born with the latent capability to hear the elementals. As he grew, his parents oft spoke of their youngest son's hearing of strange voices and sounds to passing Gridanians in the Shroud. Word gradually traveled to Stillglade Fane, and a conjurer was sent to investigate. His family, with heavy hearts, allowed him to be taken back to Gridania to train among the nature worshipers. He felt welcomed; oddly at ease with the other conjurers, and worked hard for his new kin. He eventually earned the title of Hearer a few years before the Seventh Umbral Era.

Personality

Aran'sae tends to take everything seriously. Mayhap a bit too seriously. To the point of hilarity, often.

• Mhastoum Greinsyn - Dear friend.. A hard worker, and loyal friend. Aran'sae would trust Mhastoum with his life, and can think of no more reliable companion. He only recently realized how dearly he cared for Mhastoum as a close friend, and regards him very highly.
• Yuyuni Yuni - Dear friend. A dependable little lalafellin lady, Yuyuni acts as Commander at the behest of Aran'sae quite often. He holds a high respect for her sense of duty, and loyalty.
• Ivetta Greysteele - Dear friend. A close companion for a long time, Ivetta was one of Aran'sae's only friends earlier in his life, and thus holds a very tightly-knitted friendship with her. They enjoy sewing together, and venturing out in their free time to practice logging or harvesting Nophica's bounties. Aran'sae has, many a time, been hugged almost to death by the powerful Highlander.
• Vana'to Eru - Friend. The two keepers share a sort of mutual respect for eachother. They are not exactly 'friends', but they do get along quite fabulously, and Aran'sae feels he can be himself around the young lieutenant. This is a rare trait.
• Mipije Papije - Friend. A wonderful little researcher that he is proud to call a comrade. He regards Mipije's thirst for knowledge very highly. He notes that Mipije is often very guided by his emotions, and likes to be a strong supportive figure for him.
• T'kehe Tia - Friend. Aran'sae feels compelled to help the shy seeker of the sun at every turn. Why? The hearer would not be able to tell you. Something about T'kehe's diminutive nature drives him so. Overall, he thinks of T'kehe as very polite and kind.
• Byrmstyrn Barabennwyn(Tree Star) - Acquaintance. Aran'sae does not know Tree Star well enough to exactly have any thoughts on her, all he knows is he notices trouble seems to follow in her wake. Why, he cannot say.
• Nathaniel Rhys(L'tehz Tia) - Friend. Aran'sae thinks of Nathaniel as a pain in the ass, but he cannot say with confidence that he knows all there is about the mysterious person. All he knows is the poor Seeker needs his help, and his help, he shall have. Aran'sae has observed a strange gentle kindness in L'tehz that gives him confidence in his intentions.
• V'arae Tia - Acquaintance. Aran'sae appreciates the seeker's polite mannerisms. He knows not much else about him.
• Q'iloh Nunh - Acquaintance. Aran'sae has difficulty maintaining conversations with this person. His attire is quite distracting.
• V'yhaar Nunh - Acquaintance. The keeper has no particular thoughts about this person, aside from that he is somewhat quiet in comparison to his companions.
• Naoh'ra Ohndai - Acquaintance. Aran'sae does not think much of this stranger with a temper. He respects that the man does good work, however.

• X'vett Nunh - Friend. Aran'sae is horribly torn over his friend's passing. He has wept many nights, and will likely weep for many more to come.
• Sizha'to Chalahko - Friend. The two met by chance while Aran'sae was on business in Ul'dah. Aran'sae feels like he truly understands Sizha'to, yet feels he must distance himself for his own sake. He thinks highly of the Keeper, and wishes they could talk more.
• Ziv'ir Ashal - Acquaintance. Aran'sae wishes he could do more for the poor merchant.
• C'sanhsa Tia - Friend. Aran'sae finds a wonderful amount of support from the kind architect. He would never admit it, but he truly enjoys his company. The hearer finds a playful fun in being able to bark orders at the tia from time to time.
