Excitable, Anxious, Dishonest, Book-Smart, Creative, Friendly, Naive
Amature Alchemist at your Service! Ziv'ir has the appearance of someone who hardly seems to know what's going on around him - gleeful and clueless but with some odd little edge like he already did something wrong and is already ready to run.Looking for something to be made - someone healed, someone poisoned, something that sounds quite too out of the ordinary to be bought and sold quite so easily or legally? It hardly matters if you have coin, Ziv'ir would likely be willing to make something expeptionally expensive for a hot meal or handful of pretty rocks if he thought in some way he was 'helping' by making whatever horrid concoction was mixed up for a client.

Clueless as the boy might seem to be and pleasant as his demeanor is often percieved, there is a twisted little edge to what the he seems to consider 'normal' and 'acceptable', and where his interests lay in terms of his craft..hardly the healing sort of alchemy he was taught years back. The keeper is incredibly paranoid, hardly trusting even if he's wanting to please someone. He might cast you a grin and chatter on for awhile, but the boy is hardly one to let anyone know even a fraction too much about him or get too close.

L I K E S

Theoretical Alchemy/Alchemic Research. -- Can he try something new, mix something up or even read about a potentially potent (and highly illegal) potion which hasn't been made in a couple hundred years? He'll be ecstatic about it - and very likely ramble on and on about the fact whether you understand or not if you're willing to listen!
Anatomy. -- Having an almost uncomfortable interest in the anatomy and biology, the keeper draws little diagrams in his notebook of structure and form, clearly fascinated (to a point that some might find odd)!
Books; Old Tomes. -- Learning to read from his Grandmother and the old texts that she had despite isolation the little clan lived in, he all but memorized those technical books - eventually going on to apprentice because of that and practical knowledge his grandmother passed along.
Fish/Seafood. -- Adores seafood of any real type, with a particular love of eel. (Eel Pie, Fish Soup, Salt Cod Puffs, Tuna Miq'abob, etc that sort of food). He used to often fish, though has had a very hard time with this unless a small river/lake the bottom can be seen.
Cooking. -- Growing up cooking for his family, he was praised pretty highly for doing throughout childhood. He finds it similar to Alchemy in many ways, but enjoys it largely because of how it's something done for others.
Body Jewelry/Piercings. -- While he has little knowledge (and shows little interest) in fine clothing, he adores jewelry: piercings, bits of gold and gems, rings and strings of pearls. The keeper has a number of piercings in his ears, often changing up the rings and dangling chains. He has a handful of other piercings, but very few are visible often.
Teas. -- Appears almost to enjoy the process of brewing it though than actually drinking.
Traveling/Wandering and Sleeping Outdoors. -- Feeling very ill at ease stuck in a single place over a long period of time, the keeper would ideally simply wander around with no real place in mind. If not that, he would prefer to sleep outside of any traditional house.
Feeling Useful. -- Seeing little value in many of his skills, he ultimately seeks to feel 'useful' specifically within a group environment. Very loyal and thriving on praise, the keeper has a desire to be helpful in some way to others.

D I S L I K E S

Loud and crowded places. -- He starts to shut down in incredibly crowded places, the overload of everything and his lack of experience with crowds/Cities making it difficult.
The Ocean/Deep Water. -- He dreamed of going to the ocean for a long time when he was younger. Then he did and the ocean swept him up. Unable to swim and caught in a storm he nearly drowned.
Raw/Uncooked Meat. -- Finding it repulsive, his current predicament makes eating difficult...
Yelling/Raised Voices. -- Not sure what exactly to do or how to react, he has trouble expressing himself negativly and when others get upset/raise their voices the keeper has no idea what to do other than panic.
Plants that act like Animals. -- Mandrakes and Morbols in particular. Lately he's found plants, especially those which might consume flesh or anything else 'live', to be incredibly uncomfortable to think about.
Commitment. -- Having been tricked into aiding/working for people for long periods of time or made to out of obligation, right now Ziv will do quite a bit to avoid any type of long-term commitment. Despite desire to be part of a group, he has difficulty with this and it causes a large amount of anxiety. As far as anything concerning relationships...he's never been in anything even 'committed'.
Hunting. -- Not only is he terrible at it, but the keeper absolutely can't stand killing animals. He might be a bit idealistic about this, but it's largely due to his weak stomach.
The Cold/Snow and Ice. Never having lived anywhere that was any colder than Ul'dah in the winter, he can't stand the cold - hates being covered up in layers and layers of fabric, needing to bundle up indoors and has absolutely no tolerance to even a slight chill.

Quirks/Vices

Odd speech/trouble talking. -- Kid talks weird.
Lying. -- While very loyal, he has a hard time trusting people and will frequently compulsively lie about irreverent things, keep silly stuff private because of his own nerves. On top of that he's a really bad liar.
Chewing lips. -- Nervous habit, tends to leave his lips dry.
Rambling. -- Whether because he's excited and talking incessantly on a topic that the other party might not have a clue about, or nervous and attempting desperately to explain even if his words are a garbled mess of repeated, anxious speech when the keeper gets worked up this tends to be the default response.
Terrible at judging the value of goods/services. -- Not having grown up anywhere conventional trade was used, he has a hard time discerning the proper amount an item or service is worth. Often times he will severely undercharge someone for an alchemic item, or pay an expectorant amount of gil to a merchant for something worth very little.
Has ZERO understanding of what Fiction is.. -- Treats all books like non-fiction/fact. Only grew up with factual and non-fiction texts, now he just ASSUMES is of a similar nature...including things like silly romance novels or dramatic retellings of ancient myths.
Tends to have more respect for Women than Men. This doesn't go to anything extreme but tends to be the natural response without him realizing it.
AWFUL at reading social situations. -- Whether because of his upbringing or simply personality (maybe a combination) the keeper often reads situations very different from what they actually are.

Abilities/Skills

Potion, Poison, Tonic, Elixir Making!. -- Will make things on 'commission' or request, often not knowing or checking if something's exactly legal or not.
Culinary skills.
Tracking. -- But not hunting...he can barely use a bow.
Reading/Writing. -- Both in common and a couple other languages. His writing is awful, barely legible to anyone other than him, writing in an odd scrawl, lines uneven and filling every spare space with text, drawings and notes.


A P P E A R A N C E


Body: Small to the point of looking far younger than he is - which serves itself well enough. He is suffering from a very obvious lack of nutrition currently but it is quite obvious that thi sis not the first time and it is likely that such a thing happened when he was in the process of growing.
Skin: Dark and what would be clear if not for the smears of colour across his face - reds and orange, golds and metallic tinges accented with kohl where the keeper applied pigments without looking in the mirror very long. Maybe he simply liked the addition of the colours standing out stark against his skin? If one were to peer down the neck of his robes, though, the flesh would be hardly so clear and unmarred - more a tangled web of scars and open wounds in various state of healing...it'd be very difficult to catch that, though.
Hair: Unkempt. A tangled mess when it's not sheared short. The uneven mop is a dirty blonde-brown all mixed with earthy reds - like the kid rolled in some red clay rather than took a bath...
Eyes: Very bright; very big.
Clothes: Ziv'ir adores ornate clothing - finds the ul'dan fashion particular pleasing (though his sense of what is attractive leaves much to be desired). What the keeper tends to wear is very often ill-fitting, worn out, oversized, covered in strings of bone/beading/baubles or whatever he has found that is also pleasing and attached to the clothing.
Jewelry: Gold and metals are something the miqo'te keeps in large supply - wearing string in excess around his neck and having little cords hanging from the pierced rings in his ears, among other things. Rings that clearly don't fit the boy's fingers roll from side to side on bony digits and bracelets are clasped around his arms. If he's going to spend money on anything that isn't for his craft it's some tacky looking bit of jewelry.

Distinguishing Features: The miqo'te has round little ears wiggling up from the mess of hair all pierced through with metal. Both his ears and tufted tail are that of a lion.
Other: A number of tattoos are painted across Ziv'ir's face, though it is hard to tell given the smears of colour he places over his skin regularly. | The poor boy's chest is a tangled mess of scars and uneven flesh as though something is trying to force its way out from beneath. The skin seems ready to split open - though he is very much unwilling to let anyone glance for more than a moment of even that.

Demeanor. Ziv'ir is...pleasant and friendly. The manner in which the miqo'te tends to present this is often off putting, though. There is a lack of social grace in how he speaks and interacts - even how he shifts his expressions. The boy seems innocent enough but there is something so awkward that makes you not really want to stand next to him least it rub off on you or make someone of a better status glance with nose turned up. .

Spirituality/Religion. While incredibly willing to accept a variety of non-conventional beliefs, Ziv'ir tends to lose interest very quickly if one lingers on too long on the more strict aspects of religious teachings. Be it because of a lack of understanding on the topic or simply desire to move onto something new, these subjects are not his favourite when rigid. Anything he does believe in tends to be more a matter of folk religion and long held beliefs that were passed down to him from family. While he doesn't seem willing to speak on where he learned a lot of things he's interested in sharing what. [This for the most part does not include topics of the void, though he is very very fascinated, likely to an unhealthy extent given they were not something he was taught or warned against when much younger.] .
Politics. Something more akin to clan dynamics are what the keeper tends to put things into to order in his head whether he means to or not. What goes on in the cities goes on in the cities - and he really doesn't enjoy being in the cities for very long, at least not the middle of the city. .
