Artorias is a man of many skill's, in his travels he sought after all the guild's he could, to learn and use everything to his advantage over any enemy he would face. Mostly seen with a sword of some kind, Wherever he is, he has a weapon close at hand, so dont expect him to go down without a fight.

Artorias has been through a lot, most of his past is in shadow's, not even Suri know's of some of the thing's he has done. Though she has softened him to such an extent. After realizing how stubborn he actually was, he's learned to bend the power of time and space, allowing him to appear in any given place he seem's fit. Though under great anger or sadness. It can often send him to worse places. Even in fights, He has been known to take his enemy to out of world places, where only Artorias returns.

● Julius Vermillion: A stoic young man who grew up in the Abalathian Mountains and uses his Inner Beast to push his body far beyond its intended limitations at the cost of his own vitality. But he will -not- leave her because of any of this, nor will he let her walk this path alone. . ● Caen Jabari: A young miqo'te, so full of life. Him and Artorias met through a event in the Quicksand many sun's ago. Caen is eager to see the world, alway's happy, but has a very troubled past, he has lost his memory of that time. Later down the road, Caen challanged Artorias to a fight. Artorias, still undergoing his training to control the power of the warrior, loses his grip, sending Caen on the brink of death. Artorias fleed, and the two have not seen each other since. ● Kelvena Agapor: Artorias's first love after coming to Erozea. A very talanted conjurer, Smart, quick acting, but unsure of her own abilites after event's her healing skill's fail her, only being able to do so much, Artorias spoke down upon her, causing her to doubt herself. She has fallen for Markus Gladeswind, the two soon to open their relationship up to Rhagana, thus the three are now together, Rhagana now with child, Markus goes missing. After month's of searching, they find him. Now all that remains is if the group can ever be normal agian. ● Rhagana Doomslayer: A roe, with the ability to control energy of the primal's. A very tall lady, Smart, and fair. She will open her heart to anyone of her friend's.Her and Artorias were once together, but during that time period, Artorias was a very different man. His heart full of regret for not being a better person then. Rhagana is now in a three way relationship with Kelvena and Markus. Now she is with a child. ● Markus Gladeswind: A bard with the talent of singing, along with being able to work with various instruments. He is the boyfriend to Kelvena and Rhagana. Markus and Artorias get along well enough, both lover's of treasure. He has recently gone missing. Information on him during that time is unknown. He has returned, being injured. He now resides in the company of Kelvena and Markus once more.. ● Aerostein Epitaph: An unusual man, him and Artorias met long ago, and have became good friend's since. He carries a vast amount of burden's of past event's on his shoulder's. Along with star's on his face. Everyone note's those. He care's for Artorias more than Artorias relizes. Recently, Aero has gone missing for week's on end. "What has happend to him?" Artorias wonder's to himself often. ● Gospel Gestalt: So very unsure of what to think of this man. Coming out of no where, then quickly offering to split the sister's Suri and Liana into their own bodies without anything in return? Maybe Artorias is just afraid...too many times has this happened, then in the end. It all goes downhill, then people die. This man will not take Suri away from him, nor Liana. A toy maker or 'puppet master" is what Gosepl call's himself. Always wearing a mask from Gridania. Still shrouded in a thick fog, but Artorias still stay's defensive. As time passes, he seems like a descent guy. But some comments and remarks still keep Artorias solid in thought he will do something terrible. |
● Augustine Frost: Very hotheaded, annoying bastard. He has various skill's just like Garrett and Artorias.Him and Artorias have never gotten along. least to Artorias memory. Augustine bad mouth's everyone, only work's if it's worth the gil. Frost and Slater were once together, the event's causing the split is unkown. Artorias care's very little for Augustine, but consider's him a possible threat. |
History/Timeline
The Start:
Artorias Mason, if he is the first, or not. He does not know. He was an orphan for as long as he can remember. At age 17, Artorias found a beautiful young woman. Her name: Angel Mason. History of her is unkown. for any record's of her perished during the Calamity. Artorias married young, he soon found himself a father to a son. Gabriel Mason. He had saved up enough gil, to buy them a house on the outskirt's of Erozea. At that time, it was the closest he was to the three major city's, he never went to any of them, all he cared for was being with his wife and son. Relativly a year before the calamity, Garlean forces had come to spread slowly, without alerting the three cities. Artorias was out hunting that day. As he returned from hunting, his house was set aflame, along with the execution of his wife and son. He never found out why. But all he knew is that it was Gaius von Baelsar who had commited the act. From that day, Artorias strove with vengance and hate in his hear, he trained effortlessly with sword's, two handed axe's, and spear's. Not knowing if he could even do such a fool's errend. He set off to the three cities in hope's of besting his skill's in order to get pay back. That hatred he had growing in his heart changed him, He had become the thing he alway's hated. The enemy. Shortly as he began his hand-to-hand training in Ul'Dah, me met Caen Jabari, and Garrett Slater. That day, he had gained possible allies. As he trained to perfect his skill's in CQC, event's unfolded, he then metKelvena Agapor she reminded him so much of his past wife, he spilt his emotion's, and she was so unsure. He shortly after met Julius Vermillion, Where the two worked together, training together, in hope's of becoming stronger. Julius followed a different path, He followed the path of the Warrior. While Artorias chose to stick with his knowing of CQC, the two moved away from each other slowly. As Garrett, Caen, Kelvena, and Artorias became friend's, the group was formed....
The Fall:
Soon after he returned from his fight with the Garlean's. No one saw Artorias for the same man he was. At that point, he did not care. All he wanted was the head of Gaius for what he has done. He began pushing everyone away, and trained harder, and longer every day. He soon followed the way of the Warrior just like Julius once had. The two spoke often, alway's going on about job's they have done, or any job's they think they could do together. During this time, he met Juste Fantome, who at first they seemed like good friend's.Artorias soon found out that Juste was once sided with the Garlean's, that set Artorias on a rush, he demanded Juste fought him, for whatever that reason was....then, upmost bigger event's happend, Record's of that event are gone, along with blank spaces in Artorias Mason's memory. Surillian Blu, Who at first, posed no one important to him, other than a possible friend. As he trained, month's went by, many event's he chose not to remember, there is spot's in his memory that are blank. Soon he found out the where the Garlean's main stronghold was located, he then set off to finish what brought him here. As he entered the base, he faced many Garlean forces, pushing through, he later opened his linkshell Kelvena had made for the group. "I'm sorry Kelvena.....but this is what need's to happen.." was how he started it off, Kelvena spoke back, not forgiving him for anything, only saying it dosent matter anymore, it came down to, go ahead and die, if your that eager to ruin your life. the conversation he had stuck in his mind the rest of the way. As he continued fighting, he faced captain's of Gaius's army, Artorias pushed on, destroying all that stood in his way. As he finally wiped out all of the Garlean forces, there was no sign of Gaius, he had left while he sent his Captain's to fight Artorias....Artorias was beyong fatigued. But, he had to find Gaius, he soon collapsed, his personal mission ended in failure. He then woke up back in Ul'Dah by unknown mean's. He dropped deeper and deeper into hatred, it was clear to his friend's he was a monter. no one cared what he had to say, Artorias always had that lust in his eye's and spoke of hatred and revenge. Month's passed by as it got worse, and he stuck with the way of the Warrior as it gave him the Inner Beast, A power that he could have never thought he could have. His hatred, and Lust, made him stronger, but he alway's had trouble keeping said inner beast's strength in check. That was his biggest worry: Loosing control infront of his friend's, and hurting any of them...he grew afraid, and slowly pushed himself away from the group without a word. Soon, it would all come crashing down on him, completely changing Artorias for life.
A new beginning:
After all the event's that had occured, Artorias brought it upon himself he needed to change, he had no choice, and he could not live with himself otherwise. The following month of the fight with Caen Jabari, Artorias signed up to the gladiator's guild, hoping to rid himself of that axe, and find a new person in himself. He trained for month's, keeping out of contact from the group, only rarely speaking with Julius. He caught wind of the Paladin's opening a spot for only a select few, it was it's rare event of picking a person and training them to be a 'Free' Paladin. Artorias knew this was his time to change, if he could prove to the other's that he had changed, and joined up with the holy order of the Paladin's, he could fix the past. So, he trained for month's under the leadership of captian Jenlyn's the leader of the paladin order. As he showed his new self to Kelvena, and Rhagana. he had changed drastically. His hair was now longer, styled better. His attitude had changed, he now spoke respectfully, and as honest as he could, no longer hiding anything. Everyone was so glad he had changed, Except for Garrett and Augustine, who would come to never trust him. Artorias spent time with Kelvena and Rhagana agian, then he soon found himself infront of Surillian. He felt something was off with her, and he thought to prove how much he had changed, he would take upon himself, helping Surillian in anyway possible. As he stayed longer and longer with her, he slowly began unfolding her past and what she truely was. One fatefull day, Artorias was with Kelvena, trying to find Suri. He had hoped that he would find her soon, and he could continue to protect and help her, never once did he relize he was starting to feel more emotional for her. As he took Kelvena to the spot where he usual found Suri, she was not there. Instead as they turned around to leave, a strange Highlander showed, "Are...you two looking for some Female Miqo'te..?" the highlander was breathing quick as if he had just been running.As Artorias explained why he was there, the highlander said he would help Artorias, it did not take long, soon Artorias was led infront of the Missing Member bar. Where the highlander told him that, there was a Male Miqo'te and a female Roe that were looking for her as well. As the two people the highlander spoke of, showed suprisingly. The four spoke, trying to figure out if the Miqo'te and the Roe were trying to find Suri to hurt her or not. It was a long talk, Artorias grew annoyed, he started using his Paladin title to see if it would give him a edge. It failed. Soon Kelvena would show after being left behind when the Highlander showed, due to a previous injury in the shroud, crushing her leg's. Kelvena should show, along with Suri. As Suri stepped in and spoke to the Roe and male Miqo'te, she had come to find that all they wanted was for her to make the Roe a dress for the upcoming first ball of Ul'Dah....
The change of heart.
The first ball of Ul'Dah was arriving soon,Suri who was a master weaver, had made an outfit under the request from Artorias. The ball was amazing, packed full so many people. The ball went without any bad situation's happening until.....Suri was approached by the same Roe from Limsa who dragged her away to speak of buisness. Artorias knew something was wrong, so as much as he would have hated it, he threw back on his Warrior armor in hope's to stick out, but no one would recognize him. He couldn't over hear much. As by the time he got there, Suri was surrounded by friend's now, at least as far as Artorias could tell, that Roe that caught his attention was gone. But he remained. A while after, Suri along with another friend of her's, along with Artorias would take turn's dancing with Suri. Artorias is horrible at dancing, as Suri's friend showed off much of his talent, Artorias grew un-easy...he was jealous...but he had no idea at this time. "Why...am I feeling...like this..?" he spoke with himself as he watched Suri and her friend dance. Afterward's Suri would get the attention of a past group of friend's who were so suprised to see her. They all talked, and Suri seemed to be getting un-easy. As she brought the talk to a close, Suri told Artorias to follow. As he did, they went to the air strip landing. While Artorias sumbled over his word's, trying to express how he felt about her, Kage, who as far as Artorias knew, was a friend to Suri. Kage told Suri that one of her friend's was attacked, Furious and in rage, Suri stormed out, screaming over linkshell, assuming it was to the Roe, that there was going to be war.Artorias followed Suri, and both quickly geared for a fight. What they did not expect was to be attacked first, as Artorias ran to the Maurader's guild to get his armor there, to fit in. Suri was attacked as he got back just before any real fighting started. He scanned the fight, it was three versus just Suri and Him. The duo almost won, but were over come and lost. Suri was kocked out cold, as she was thrown over a shoulder of the Roe, Artorias, keeping himself up on one knee, who was badly hurt, had to watch her get dragged away. "G-god's....S-..Suri.." is all he could say, he was then knocked out and left there, bleeding, to death, while Suri was dragged to wherever they took her. Artorias woke, leaned himself agianst a nearby wall. and called Julius...for help. Even though at this time is when Julius was slowly being taken over by a type of black magic. Artorias had no other choice, he had to get Julius to find Suri. Shortly after Julius arrived asking what was wrong, Juste showed. Artorias was suprised, he didn't know how Juste had known he was hurt. Julius along with his new female partner set out to look for Suri. After Juste had taken Artorias to rest while Juste healed him. He soom left, going to help Julius find Suri. Artorias was hurt, but healed to an extent. The only thing he could think of right now is Suri. The last thing he saw was her being dragged away. On top of that before Julius left to go find her he told Artorias. "Go back to your damned Sword play...You are not meant to wear this armor..." that hit Artorias hard. Was that really how Julius felt? Artorias questioned this for a long time. As Julius returned with new's of finding Suri. He followed, finding Juste carrying her. They had to take Suri somewhere quick where there was a healer. Away to Gridania they went by airship. Artorias still not fully healed, was persterd by Juste to get treatment as well. So Artorias and Suri got treated, only later to have Suri yell at Artorias that what he's trying to protect with an Oath he had sworn to her was useless, it could never be done. As they healed. Artorias thought thing's over. But his mind had not changed, he loved Suri, and he wanted to protect her with all his life, to make sure she could deal with that Roe and her bandit's and live a happy life.One day the Roe and her bandit's called a truce, leaving Artorias and Suri alone, doing whatever they wanted. Shortly after all this, Artorias and to face Julius in a fight, outside the gate's of Ul'Dah, under the spell by some Black Mage, Julius was not the same, he was fighting Artorias to the death. In the end, Suri stepped in and stopped that, Artorias was near death. Suri ran, surprising Artoras, as Julius and the Black Mage left him to die. He managed to crawl his way Scorpian crossing, where he leaned himself against some crate's, where soon Suri arrived agian. Artorias, being on the verge of death, had take a potion Julius dropped as they left. It kept Artorias alive but, at the end of the day, when Suri fell asleep next to Artorias who spoke of needing sleep, He feel into a coma, lasting a week. He awoke, his memory shattered, only remembering so little of the past. He fight's on, His emotions are still the same, but his mind is not.
Follow the heart:
Artorias now, knowing that he loved Suri, never left her side. On night's they were alone, he would act, childish almost, but nervouse. Suri would not see it for the longest time until the night Artorias kissed her. Artorias knew that in doing this, he would confuse her but...he couldn't help it. He had come to love someone more than ever. Artorias knew Suri liked Juste for a while, but never did he see Juste act in that way in return, or make any moves on her. "Follow....the heart..." is something Artorias would say often to Suri in hope's to try and help her come to a decision. So, Artorias followed Suri around everywhere. At night, he would act childish agian, showing his true emotion's, he kissed her several time's over the course of a few week's. Suri was suprised each time, and tried to tell Artorias she dosent know how she feel's back.They have an argument, where it end's with Suri grabbing Artorias and kissing him, angierly. "The more and more you are here, with me. The more I forget about Juste, and the more you come to mind..." she was torn, and hurt. As event's went on, the two still unsure how this will end. They visit Costa Del Sol, a paradise on the shore of Limsa. It was short lived, as Artorias spoke about his feelings agian, Telling Suri. "I think You, Juste, and myself need to sit down and talk about this....to come to an end, so everyone can be happy and go on their way's." Suri didn't like that idea, it hurt her. Her blood boiled, and ran off from Artorias, who is now at this point beyong confused. He tried to get a hold of Kelvena seeing if she will hear him out in Limsa. She agree's, and they meet Artorias spill's out everything on how he feel's for Suri, Rhagana show's only to be amazed by how much Artorias just spilt out of his mouth in one breath. As they speak, Kelvena tries to get a hold of Suri, telling her Artorias need's her. As a reply, Artorias only get's a ear full of how angry she really is. Kelvena in suprise, goes and tries to find then talk to Suri....Suri show's but not is all as it seem's. Her sister Liana Blu had shown in her place. Holding an arrow aimed to him, Artorias rises from his seat, provoking Liana, he tell's her to shoot him, he deserves it, As Rhagana watches she rises from her seat, teeling eveyrone to calm down and back off. Liana then tell's Artorias you destroyed Suri, she's afraid and does not want to ever see him agian. It shoots his heart like an arrow. Liana explain's that she will be around for two day's and by that time, He need's to come to a final answer and choose his word's carefully......
The word's:
So...this is where the event's have currently led. After finally realizing he loved Surillian Blu, he asked for her hand. She was hard to get, he can admit that...But, eventually said yes. "By the twelve...I've done it...I've never been this happy before in my entire life.." something he reminds himself often when he see's her everyday. Event's just have not been the best for Artorias. Fight's have gone wrong, getting almost killed with every job. Then upon one day, Artorias challanged Suri to a training exercise. All seemed well, of course Suri seemed nervous...She didn't like the idea of possibly hurting the man in his life. Throughout the fight she changed, becoming more...Hostile, going quiet. At first Artorias didn't think much of it, maybe that was her way of fighting. Since he has never actually seen her fight. It was always Liana. It turned into a actual fight soon after, Artorias didn't know what was going on, but he needed to stop this. Getting close enough to land a blow to her side, was able to calm her down, thankfully he healed her right after, even with his lack of magic knowledge he know's some healing. Though as he got close, Suri struck his neck with a few dart's. Ignoring them at first, making sure Suri was ok. She spoke as if she was someone else, Not knowing who he was, Artorias got worried but kept talking, eventually She was normal once more. Asking for forgiveness as to what just happened. Of course he forgave her, Though as minutes went on, Artorias felt weird, realizing he was struck with a dart of some kind, At first Suri calmly said, "Just some poison from Liana when she used to use these...Oh god's, Artorias!" was the last thing he herd, collapsing onto her, he felt his life leaving him, never has he been poisoned before not knowing how to fight it, he just couldn't. On the brink of death, Suri gave him an antidote of some kind...but, it seemed too late. His life fading, unable to do anything. Fighting for his life, he almost lost, but in the end. It was Suri's tear's dropping onto him, that sent him back into the fight one more. "Don't..cry...I'm...still here..." coming back to life, barely but alive. He rested for the next few day's, one night they talked, She didn't want him working anymore, "Take a break...please..I can't see you like this...I can keep the gil coming for while...please.." realizing what he has been doing, he didn't think too much of what Suri has been feeling/going through. "Alright...I'll quit work, find something here in the city." she seemed so happy, the day after, he signed up for Armor smith guild. Day's went on, they were both happy but, Suri vanished during the day, even when he looked for her. Until the evening is when he would see her. He eventually though she was just busy. But it was Liana that spilled her hidden secret's to him. "She's a mob boss now?!" Artorias world just got flipped. She said she would stay away from that kind of work. He'd given up his past work, as much as he missed it for her. He loved her more than his work. But, guess she still had secrets. He played it off like he didn't know, until one night Suri told him everything, she expected him to leave her because of it. "No, I will not leave you because of this...your insane if you think I would." so, he said he would help her, stand by her side in this new life he would be entering. "Mob boss...I need to protect her...Mob's never work out right in the end, even if it is ran by her, someone will do something stupid." were his only thoughts on this.
