Ferathir "Dawnbreaker" Lauhafiere (Commonly known as Ferathir, Ferathir Dawnbreaker or Dawnbreaker) appears to be a Mid-lander Hyur whom was born in Ishgard. Much remains unknown about his life, possibly due to the fact that he seldom speaks of it. Seeking wealth, fame, power and just a different life all-together, Ferathir left his homeland to pursue becoming a Gladiator in the pits of Ul'dah. However, before arriving to the city, he had a sudden change of heart as he continued to hear about the amazing tales many travelers had about adventurers. Driven by a new cause and goal, Ferathir aimed to become a member of the Adventurer's guild instead of fighting in the pits. But he would not forsake the idea of being a Gladiator, as he already specialized in using a sword and shield as weapons of choice. He would often train with the gladiators of Ul'dah to further his skill. Eventually, upon reaching enough notoriety in the city, he was given the opportunity to become a free Paladin. The power to protect those he cared for and the childhood dream of becoming a knight now close to becoming fulfilled, he gladly accepted. It was not long before he was adorned with the armor of the sultansworn, but with the freedom of an adventurer.

P E R S O N A L I T Y

Ferathir is a rather colorful and diverse character. When he began his journey from Ishgard to Ul'dah, many remember him as the mistrusting noble-turned-adventurer that generally took up jobs alone and kept to himself. However, through many fateful encounters with many different individuals, Ferathir's demeanor has changed drastically and is now far more trusting and social than he was in the past. Nevertheless, Ferathir has core values and beliefs that sometimes conflict with this. And his love for his fellow Oathsworn siblings can leave him blind to reason when they are endangered. Ferathir generally keeps a cool and composed demeanor about him at all times, sometimes making him seem apathetic. However, this is far from the reality, as Ferathir is generally very much involved and concerned with anyone's plight and needs if they are indeed true. Woe to whoever tests his patience or dares to cross him and his Oathsworn, however, for mercy will be nowhere in sight.

A P P E A R A N C E

Ferathir is larger and taller than the average midlander, perhaps due to being fathered by a Wildwood Elezen. However, he appears to bear mostly the Hyurian traits from his mother. His body is covered in well-toned, healthy muscles. There are no scars of any sort or blemishes anywhere across his body, which in this day and age is incredibly rare. He has a very soft face with sometimes intense eyebrows. His head is adorned by two jade-green eyes which compliment his unkept golden blonde hair rather well. Ferathir's complexion is light, despite the fact that he spends a lot of his time adventuring and roaming the land. This may be due to the fact that his body, including his face, is usually covered from head to toe in plated armor.

Leaussoix Lauhafiere ( ♥ ♠ ? ) ( NPC ) - The Neglectful Father
Leaussoix is by no means "Father of the Year", however, he isn't truly as bad as Ferathir remembers him to be. Leaussoix is the type of father that wishes the best for their children but conveyed so in the worst of manners possible; with sternness, strict rule and little affection to show. While it is true that Leaussoix favored his first son, Ferathir's older brother, Lea always did have a soft spot for Ferathir's gentle nature as a child. In Ferathir's mind, he remembers him as the asshole that never loved him and pushed him too hard.

Isabelle Turner-Lauhafiere ( ♥ ♥ ) ( NPC ) - The Loving Mother
Isabelle was always the loving, caring mother that you read about in stories. She nurtured and cared for all of her children equally, but more so Ferathir because of how overly attached he was to his mother as a child. She knew how Ferathir felt about his father and always spoke to Leassoix about possible changing his approach with his son. He never did, of course. Ferathir never understood why his mother loved his father the way that she did, but he honestly didn't have much room to worry about the details because he had everything he desired thanks to her. Like the rest of his family, Ferathir does not speak about her, but he loves her and misses her dearly.

Alathariel ( ♥ ♥ ♦ ✖ ) ( NPC ) - The Tragic Love
Alathariel came into play when she stumbled across Ferathir in the Adventurer's guild when he was picking up another leve. She thought he was handsome and cool-looking, so decided to tag along, much to Ferathir's dismay. She was incredibly lively and cheerful and it was because of this that she eventually won Ferathir over, both as a friend and love interest. They continued to work together, completing many leves and having a wonderful time. Unfortunately, after being paired up with two other adventurers by the guild to explore a dungeon, Alathariel met her demise. The two other adventurers triggered a trap, isolating Alathariel from the rest of the group. The two responsible ran away, forsaking her and leaving the other two behind. Alathariel to die and Ferathir to watch hopelessly and he saw his first true love be ripped apart by fiends. It was because of this event that Ferathir became so distrusting of others. Especially other adventurers.
