P E R S O N A L I T Y

One's first impression of Heidrek is entirely dependent on the context you meet him under. When battle is at hand Heidrek's fanaticism is on full display. The Highlander is prone to charging forth clad in heavy armour with axe in hand and laughter on his lips. Under the battle fever lies unwavering confidence in both his martial ability and the honour he brings to Rhalgr. One could very easily be forgiven for writing Heidrek off as a stereotypical Ala Mhigan when exposed to such boisterous behavior. You can be sure that when a storm brews on the horizon, the Warsong will be ready to face it.

However, when removed from such exciting circumstances, you could be surprised at what you find. Removed from the battlefield, Heidrek is fond of meditation, long walks and theological discussion. Beneath the war paint and the tanned skin lies a young man possessing a surprisingly polite and thoughtful demeanor. Conversation flows easily and if you aren't careful you might find yourself at the mercy of a pious dork who wants to see you to be your best. For a man who stands taller and louder than most, he lacks the attitude to match and there is no braggart to find here. This is the arena where Heidrek's will can falter with doubt creeping into his mind. When one lives for so long with no concept of self beyond 'honouring the Twelve' it leaves little room for the intricacies of society.

A P P E A R A N C E

Heidrek would describe himself as possessing average looks. Standing at 6'3" and 237 ponz, his body features broad shoulders and a natural athleticism, however it lacks the more significant musculature common in Highlanders. He has yet to be found without black warpaint spread across his face in a rough 'X' shape which he applies daily. Playful eyes contrast an unintentionally stern look cast by a significant jawline and strong facial structure. Heidrek tries to counteract this by smiling as much as possible. Heavy armour is almost always present, with Heidrek looking lost when left to dress himself in any practical sense.

L I K E S ■ Courage. Life is an arena, fight with everything you've got. ■ Wanderlust. The open road and the ability to travel it at will are some of life's greatest blessings. ■ Theology. Religion is a cornerstone of Heidrek's and he is always fond of discussing such matters with others.

D I S L I K E S ■ Inaction. Better to deal with the consequences than not to act at all. ■ Fame. Glory is a byproduct of valour, not a prize to be chased in and of itself. ■ Profiteering at the expense of others. Only the lowest make their mark by stepping on others.

Q U I R K S ■ Valour pleases you, Rhalgr. Heidrek's morning ritual involves praying to Rhalgr while applying his war paint. While he is undergoing this process he's completely tuned out to the world around him. Being rendered unable to fulfill this practice has a detrimental effect on his morale and behavior until it is corrected. ■ War Machine. Heidrek cannot dress himself, period. He will happily wear heavy armour from sunrise to sunset. The few times where he has tried to wear something resembling regular clothing have gone poorly for him. ■ The Beat Goes On. Lengthy periods of downtime without significant action can cause Heidrek to become increasingly agitated and uneasy to the point that he will seek out suitable avenues to satiate his urge for violence.

P C Leih Rhun ( ♥ ) - The Adopted Daughter When first competing together at the Grindstone, she impressed him with her kindness and selflessness. At first compelled to protect her from a cruel and uncaring world, the Highlander was pleased and surprised when she started referring to him as 'Dad'. Determined not to repeat the mistakes of her previous caregivers, Heidrek seeks to temper her skills and resolve in the face of life's uncertainties. Sabriel Molkoh ( ♦ ) - Lollipop, Lollipop A Miqo'te healer that Heidrek initially mistook for Leih despite an obvious disparity in height between the two. The pair managed to strike up a friendship despite the awkward start and Heidrek appreciates having a talented healer following in his wake. The fact that she's got a stash of sweets that he's free to raid also doesn't hurt.
