A Tempest in the Body of a Woman

Said to have been born without fear, Julie is one of those people who is either loved or hated. She exudes confidence and has a strong passion for whatever she sets her mind to, easily sweeping others into her adventures. She is often loud and boisterous, her emotions never subtle or questioned. Often no-nonsense when it comes to matters of work, and a wide degree of silliness in play, it’s easy to see why she has earned the nickname, ‘The Tempest.’ Due to her lust for the big and the bold, she can oftentimes seem easily distracted by the end-goal, which can often lead to trouble when she doesn’t look to the here-and-now.

Though not one for senseless violence, she has been known to get into fights when the time calls. She dons no weapons, and instead favors a good ol’ fist to the face – for such a small girl she can pack a wallop if you’re not expecting it! Of course, this also leads her into trouble when she inevitably bites off more than she can chew, antagonizing opponents who can easily beat her in a fight. To her credit, she never backs down.

L I K E S ■ Animals. -- Julie's love of animals is often seen as detrimental to her health. She has a bleeding heard for any critter, big or small, and loves to learn about them. This has included her 'adopting' a phurble, a boar, a goobue, a coeurl, a raptor, and her beloved fire biast, Pippen. Some have even said that she loves animals more than people. ■ Engineering. -- This woman has a keen eye for mechanics. She loves the challenge that gears and pipes and wires bring. She loves the frustration of planning out a new device on a roll of parchment, laboring, and creating something new. She's a self-taught engineer who tends to do things her own way (which isn't always a good thing). ■ Airships / Open Sky. -- Without a hint of a fear of heights, Julie takes to the sky like it's her home. Whether that's on the deck of an airship or the back of her Chocobo, she revels in the freedom she feels when faced with the wide-open space of the eldless skies. She particularly loves airships because it combines her love of both engineering and the sky. ■ Booze. -- A good bottle of hard liqor is the way to the woman's heart. She doesn't fuck with the 'fruit-water,' shit, and instead will try out the strongest brandy or rum she can get her paws on. ■ Socializing. -- Julie isn't a shy woman by any means. She's quite happy to meet new people and make new friends, though the feeling isn't always mutual as she is as subtle as an anvil to the face. She's content to be loud and boisterous. ■ A Good Fight. -- Even if she gets her ass kicked, Julie loves a good fight. Her preference is no-weapons, hand-to-hand. ■ Flirting. -- Man or woman, nobody is safe from Julie's appreciation. She isn't shy to make a comment on what (or who) she likes.

D I S L I K E S ■ Sitting Still. -- This is a woman always moving, always wanting to do something. Asking her to sit still is like trying to hold onto electricity, it just doesn't work. She often becomes irritable, petulant, and downright rebelious, even if she's only asked to stay still for a few minutes. ■ Committment. -- And here we see an example of the woman who flees from relationships. For as flirty and fun as she likes to be, she hates the idea of being tied to one person as much as she hates to sit still. It just doesn't sit well with her. ■ Laziness. -- If she feels that someone's ass can be kicked to make them work harder, she will. However those that she sees as a lost cause won't garner any of her attention. She hates people who are lazy, and expect the world to revolve around them. ■ Getting Serious or Angry. -- Though Julie tends to thrive as a leader, she hates having to get upset or overly serious. She likes life to be fun, though the minute someone really fucks up, they'll know pretty damn quick.

Pets  &  Companions ■ Valor. -- Her chocobo. This loyal beast has been at her side since she was young, though the two often butt heads. Literally. His nickname is 'Feathers McFluffybeak.' ■ Mop. -- A Phurble she 'saved' from the cruelties of the wild. This odd bouncing ball of hair is obsessed with Zucchini and Cabbage, and when it's around it likes to sit in her shirt. Capable of casting low-end cure spells. ■ Pickles. -- A hog she adopted from Mor Dhona who tends to act like a big, slobbery dog. He doesn't go out in public often as he doesn't get along well with strangers. He's blind in one eye. ■ Lugg. -- A small Goobue whom she adopted from the fields of Limsa. She found him injured after an adventurer thought to slay him, and after rescuing him, helped the beast get back up on his stubby little legs. A gentle giant...most of the time. ■ Tulka. -- Next to Pippen this is her most common companion. Tulka is a large, proud male Coeurl with a wild spirit. Barely this side of domesticated, Julie tends to take him on adventures, though not often to cities after he bit the third adventurer who wanted to 'pet the kitty.' Capable of shocking with his whiskers. ■ Pippen. -- Her pride and joy. A full-grown fire biast was something that nobody else was keen on being around. She raised Pippen from the day he hatched, forming an unbreakable bond with him that will never break. Due to his time around people, he appears strongly domesticated, preferring to be hand-fed and loving to be scratched on his chin. He has a lifelong blood-fued with one Galvadan Edgecrusher. Capable of spitting fire.

. ✖ P L A Y E R   I N F O ✖ ❇ I'm a Heavy Roleplayer in Eastern-Standard Timezone (EST). I usually RP in public channels, though often move to private means (/whisper, /party) for certain elements of rp and if the RP itself I find might make anyone around me uncomfortable. I also will very frequently Roleplay on Skype and enjoy keeping up long-term active exchanges there. ❇ For Combat in Roleplay:: I love using roll-of-the-dice, (usually relying more on a d20 out of game/via an online roller, though /random has also been good to me) along with a realistic idea of how things might work out concerning rolls/random chance with the characters skills and abilities. Basically random chance I find adds a wonderful element to combat rp, but there's always the realism to consider. I adore combat in rp (whether I win or lose or the outcome isn't exactly certain) finding that the tension it adds as well as the random nature of a lot of it can aid in creating new and interesting factors for characters! ❇ Concerning Romance RP:: I'm not completely opposed to romantic based rp and occasionally enjoy it, but I don't make any real point actively seeking out rp of that nature - dating icly, looking for a relationship icly, etc. My main focus will at no point ever be simply the romantic element. If the plot heads in a direction where characters might have feelings for each other I'm not against this type of thing but I've had some very ~dramatic~ experiences in the past with this type of RP. ❇ There MUST be a clear separation between IC and OOC when rping. Insults, flirting, violence or talking about characters isn't meant to be personal (ooc). What happens in roleplay it's usually best stays there. ❇ My Other Main Characters are Bastian Rook & Alaire Daerev. I have a handful of alts as well! RP HARD LIMITS

If any issues within rp (something my character does is uncomfortble to you, you have an issue with how an action or situation takes place, etc.) just let me know OOCly. Please don't make veiled comments hoping I will catch on. I won't, I can promise that much (I'm really dumb and dense and subtle stuff like that isn't my forte). If the situation is reversed, I will simply say something pretty fast - don't like to let things fester. That all said standard hard-limit no-no stuff and things I love are::

■ Do: --- Pretty much any Mature Content, Dark or Serious Themes (violence, serious torture, murder, drug/alcohol use, etc.), as well as lighter encounters and interactions. Plot and Character-Driven rp , long-term plots and . Please expect coarse language from a number of my characters. Temporary injury (mind/body), captivity, imprisonment and any types of attacks are a-okay. Romantic and sexual tension are fantastic but please talk to me about anything other than just tension no random tells fishing for erp...that just comes off as awkward and creepy.

■ Ask: --- Disfigurement, mutilation, crippling or permanently injuring characters. I don't necessarily need to know long-term in advance for these things, but don't inflict anything on my characters without talking to me at least please. Anything that might cause a longer-term character-changing issues which might reflect heavily on other RPS I'm in I want a general heads-up/discussion. Long term captivity (aka, longer than a month or so icly) should be talked out and usually have some reason for happening (since it's basically putting the character out of commission for a good while).

■ Don't: --- Basically my hard-line is permanent character death without any extensive discussion of this and heavily plot-driven reason for this. RP where character must be connected at the hip to one of my character constantly. "Sexy Torture" for the sake of being sexy is also a huge no. Just no.
