Minako has come a long way since her arrival in Eorzea. She is very open to the ways of her new homelands cultures, while also enjoys sharing her own. Though at times, she is still easily confused by some of the habits and thinking patterns that Eorzeans tend to share, she has learned, and continues to learn to fit in among them without losing her own identity. She will often bow when greeting or expressing gratitude to others, though she has been adopting more of the casual wave that most others do instead. It is a bit exaggerated and looks rather silly, though Minako seems to be unaware of it. Minako is not shy and will approach nearly anyone in a friendly manner, though she does make a conscience effort to remain distant of any Au Ra born of the Xaela clan.
Minako's oath to her new family in Eorzea means everything to her. She does not take kindly to anyone who would slander it. To Minako, the Oath is what ended the loneliness that overwhelmed her when she relocated to Eorzea without her blood family. She takes it very seriously. To some, it is a mystery if Minako is even acquainted with the idea of combat. She does not present herself in the same way that an adventurer would... but this is how she prefers it to be. Minako is a skillful ninja, who loves her disguises. She is quite agile and nearly a different being in every way when she is fully immersed in the art of ninjutsu.
Minako has only somewhat recently discovered that she can also channel aether to some extent. She has dabbled in the arts of Thaumaturge, but upon realizing the utter destruction that she could possibly cause, she tends to use her new found ability towards mending. Mina does not speak much of this aspect about her.

Ferathir Dawnbreaker ( ♥ ♥ ♥ ✔ ) |
---|
Minako met Ferathir rather randomely, and their meeting was quite comedic. Minako, for at least the first week she knew Ferathir, mistook him for royalty due to the coronet he wore. Of course, all of this was sorted out. Minako would spend a great amount of time by Ferathir's side in the coming months, learning about the meaning of the Oath and what it stands for, what it means to Ferathir specifically, and what it would mean to her. They would discuss each others pasts, though in the beginning Ferathir's mentionings of his were quite vague. They would comfort each other during more difficult times and because of all this, the two found themselves growing more and more fond of each others company. On days they could not spend together, they would often keep communication open through linkpearls. They grew inseperable and eventually confessed their feelings for one another despite their uncertanties. Much time has passed since their love first began to blossom, and as such, the two have matured and grown in many ways. The duties of running a business and maintaining a home consumes much of what once would be spent lost for hours in conversation, but the two continue to hold their Oath's to one another, as lovers and as Oathsworn.

V'ieh Vhessi ( ♥ ♥ ♥ ✔ ) |
---|
In the beginning Minako felt intimidated by V'ieh's demanding presence and overly outgoing personality. Overtime, she began to realize that while loud and often speaks her mind freely, V'ieh is undeniably a caring and dear friend. Minako is often concerned with the Oathsworns perilous lifestyle. V'ieh has been the closest sister figure to Minako that she has ever known.
|
Thata'wo Kaatapoh ( ♥ ♥ ● ✔ ) |
---|
Minako met Thata'wo one evening at the Gold Saucer under odd circumstances. The three Oathsworn were taking a night off, enjoying the festivities at the popular location, when suddenly, V'ieh drew her blades upon the poor Miqo'te, wrongfully accusing him of being the culprit who burnt down V'ieh's village. Upon further examination and interactions with Thata'wo, the three decided there was no way he could have been the person V'ieh mistook him to be. Minako never minded Thata'wo, and often enjoyed his quirkiness amongst the group. She was delighted to see the odd Miqo'te care so much for her Oath sister, even if he had odd ways of showing it. Thata'wo has not taken up the Oath, but nonetheless, Minako considers him a brother. His cheerful & awkward behavior is often at the helm, but deep down.. lies a compassionate and caring personality. Minako and Thata'wo have since began spending much time together adopting new skills, joining guilds, and training.

Rakuyo Obinata ( ♥ ♥ ♥ ✔ ) |
---|
One of Minako's older siblings and the one whom she feels the most connected to. In the days she resided on Othard, Rakuyo is the one brother that Minako feels she can confidently confide in, even if he protests some of her life choices. He was never too keen on her involvement in ninjutsu, but nevertheless, would often find himself covering for her absences at home, as the rest of her family were not aware of Minako's "second" lifestyle. Minako recently has reunited with her brother, in quite the awkward of ways, with Thata'wo being in the wrong place, at the wrong time. He confused the Miqo'te for a poacher, and with "saved" Minako from him. Minako has never been so optimistic about the whereabouts of the remainder of her blood family upon discovering Rakuyo is alive and well, though Rakuyo doesn't seem to be as much.

Suna Yari ( ♥ ♥ ♥ ✔ ) |
---|
Minako doesn't know much of this beautiful Auri girl. Ferathir introduced Suna to her as the Oathsworns chief engineer for their airships. While Minako found herself glad that Ferathir would be getting the extra help with such tasks, the Auri girl invoked feelings that were unfamiliar with her. Despite this, Mina is curious to know more about the girl that hails from her homeland, though she has not seen her in quite sometime.

Hanatsuma Maibito ( ♥ ♥ ♥ ✔ ) |
---|
Minako met this polite Auri girl one day she happened across their home in the Goblet in search of someone(s) making attacks on refugees. Without any major leads on the case, she found herself upon the property of the Oathsworn, where she met Ferathir and Minako outside. The three spoke, and it wasn't long before Minako extended her hand in invitation for the Auri girl to join them in their home and relax from her travels. Minako hasn't known Hanatsuma for very long, but she is very eager to learn more of her, as they already seem to have much in common. Minako, being a refugee herself, has a soft spot for the likes. While being left in charge of the Oathsworn Solutions during Ferathir's absence, Minako organized a company outing to the Gold Saucer, and discovered that it was Hana's first time attending the popular attraction. Minako see's Hana's struggles to adjust to the culture and all around new life on Eorzea, and can sympathize.

R'anael Lea ( ♥ ♥ ♥ ✔ ) |
---|
R'anael has been the first person associated with the Oath in some way that has annoyed her. The Miqo'te, as far as Minako knows, used to be a retainer to Ferathir.. and Mina often wondered how Ferathir and R'anael got along for so long. With time, Mina has grown more accepting to R'anael, and realized that she girl has good qualities.. though the Miqo'te's sexual appetite makes her wonder if all Miqo'te are so open about their sex lives. She thought perhaps it was only V'ieh's pesonality. Minako has recently come to realize that perhaps she has been too judgemental to the girl and is trying to make amends.. but often feels that the two simply do not have much in common. Recently the two played a game of hide and go seek, which left a positive impression for Minako as she realizes the innocence this Miqo'te has.

V'ashir Tia ( ♥ ♥ ♥ ✔ ) |
---|
Minako's first interactions with V'ashir were less than pleasant. She finds V'ieh's brother to be rude, though she tries to also sympathize and put herself in his shoes, though she struggles to do so as she didn't take kindly to V'ashir punching Thata'wo during the Gold Saucer company outing. The night ended with Minako sending V'ashir back home due to his unacceptable behavior. She does hope that her next interaction is ends on a more positive note.

The Oathsworn Vigil is a free company led by Ferathir Dawnbreaker. It was formed when both he and V'ieh Vhessi recited the First Oath to one another, unofficially forming the Vigil. It wasn't until some time after Minako Obinata joined the Vigil that the Oathsworn Vigil took the full form of a free company. As of recently, there are two sides to this free company; Brother/Sisterhood and a Business. The known side; Oathsworn Solutions:
The more secretive side; The Oath: The Oath "I swear onto thee my unwavering loyalty, that you might not experience solitude anymore. I swear onto thee my wrath to those who would harm you. I swear onto thee an Oath that transcends all bonds; an eternal Vigil so that none may overtake you. I will be your friend... your brother... your father... your son... your husband. I will be your sword and your shield. Now and always." - Ferathir Dawnbreaker
