Overview

Danica Storme is a Highlander Hyur who was born in Ala Mhigo, scant years before its fall to Garlemald. She had never known her father, having fled to her mother's home of Sharlayan after the fall.

There she and her mother lived with her maternal grandparents until Danica was invited to attend the Studium and her mother joined with Louisoix to attend to the safety of Eorzea. Her mother perished in the Calamity that followed.

Now, her fate drawn by the Deck of Sixty she earned as a Sharlayan astrologian, she comes to the three city-states of Eorzea, seeking something lost...

Appearance

Standing at a height of five fulms nine ilms and weighing in at less than 150 ponze, the slender, yet curvy Danica has the grace (and patience) of a dancer. Emerald eyes look out at you from behind black? locks of hair. She wears her hair in a Sharlayan style. She looks to be in her mid twenties and almost always has a smile on her face.

Voice: At times exuberant, at other times sultry, Dani's accent is decidedly Sharlayan, with a hint of Ala Mhigan mixed in.

Clothing: Danica's clothing is almost always of high quality, whether she's travelling or staying in town. She favors the color purple in most of her garments. She often has pockets or pouches for decks, vials, and other things.

Personality

Ravenously devouring every book she could get her hands on, Danica grew up learning. Of all the stories she read or had read to her, the ones she enjoyed the most were of daring adventurers. She sought to learn everything possible, a trait that she continues to this day.

Growing up in Sharlayan, Dani had few friends, but the friends that she made earned her fierce loyalty. She lost her maternal grandparents not long after her mother and she arrived, and the Calamity saw her mother returned to the Lifestream when she took the field with other students of Master Louisoix. This left her without any true family and a profound sense of loneliness.

She firmly believes in the tenets of Sharlayan astromancy. So much so, in fact, that it was a drawing she did after graduation that led her to Ul'dah. The Spinner showed her that something important to her was lost. Now she just has to find it.

She often displays an exuberant personality and is usually happy to strike up a conversation or do a drawing for someone.

OOC Information

Limits Danica has had the oft-storied hard knock life since the fall of Ala Mhigo. Little of the mundane surprises her. She's seen her fellow refugees resort to all sorts of coping mechanisms, many of them not healthy. Some topics are listed as unacceptable, and that means it takes major plot points to be permissible. I reserve the right to change these as I see fit. ■ Acceptable is all RP themes from dark, serious and mature (violence, sexuality, torture, murder, conflict, drug / alcohol use) to the more light-hearted, humorous and simplistic, as long as it makes sense in the course of the RP. Plots that range from long-term to one-shots, elaborate and large-scale to minor and frivolous. Temporary injury and incapacitation. Temporary captivity or imprisonment. Combat, ambushes, assassination attempts, rivalries, friendships, romantic or sexual tension, and coarse language are welcomed. ■ Ask about anything dramatically character-changing or that might render her unplayable for a long period of time. ■ Unacceptable is permadeath. Injuries that wouldn't allow her to be independent. Rape, or kidnap plots, as well as any sexual forms of torture.

Player Information Player Note Thanks for taking a look at this wiki! I’ve been roleplaying in FFXIV for less than a month. I have experience in other games, such as SWTOR, ESO, Neverwinter Nights (in which I still do RP), WoW, and others. Don’t forget the difference between OOC and IC. Just because Dani is the way she is, does not mean I’m like it in real life! I prefer clear lines of communication with whomever I'm RPing with, and those I'm RPing with should always feel free to send a /tell to clear up any questions. Character Lore Adherence Everything concerning this character that has not been confirmed by in-game lore should be taken with a grain of salt. ■ The lore of Red Mages learning their craft is shifty at best. Right now there is ONE teacher with no guild or infrastructure to speak of. So I played with her mother being a Crimson Duelist, one of X'rhun Tia's crew, and him coming to Little Ala Mhigo to commiserate with the refugees. He sees Danica's weapon and off they go!
