Cyril Hardesty (Pronunciation: Si-rill Hard-est-ee), a historian that aims to understand the Scholars of Nym through personally walking around the world as one, has dedicated his life to aiding others in need. With his friend and companion, Nox the faery, he aims to find out the truth behind the Green Plague and the War of Magi in order to resurrect the lost scholar art.
Bearing soft facial features, a short stature, long back length hair braided and tied into a high ponytail and slight curvature on the figure, Cyril can be very easily mistaken for a woman if his soft feminine voice did not convince otherwise. In a single word, Cyril is androgynous. His face bears a gentle natural expression, soft blue eyes and rosy cheeks that practically light up whenever he smiles. His figure is short, below average for an adult Midlander and has a thin yet decently toned figure. He shows noticeable muscle, signs that he does partake in some exercise but not enough to appear hardened or rough. He possesses no scars or markings, even his hand which tend to handle climbing and other rigorous exercise has little roughness to them. Cyril tends to wear an arrangement of clothing, ranging from simple shirts to full gowns and robes. He tends to wear clothing that allows him to wear some sort of skirt on the lower half simply out of his absolute pleasure of such clothing, but he is always seen wearing tights or leggings underneath. He tends to wear leather gloves when working out of the need for protection during any searching or digging. His boots range in length, from thigh high to ankle but are all aimed towards as much comfort as possible for long walks or hiking.
Warm. Sweet. Joyful. Cyril radiates a positive attitude and perspective. He is incredibly polite, having great manners and respecting anyone he converses with to the point of addressing them appropriately (Sir, Madam, Mi'lady, Mi'lord, Lord, Lady, etc). He is a firm believer of assisting those in need and puts that thought into practice in everything he does. Cyril is willing and capable of dropping everything to help another in a heartbeat, sometimes without consideration of his own health and that can be considered a detriment to his well being. He loves nothing more than to see people's smiles and the world around him in joy and is willing to do whatever it takes to achieve that goal even if it sounds almost impossible. To him, taking a few small steps is greater than struggling to make one giant one.
