Ethri'a Valnyr (pronounced /ˈEth-Ri-Ah Val-Neerˈ/) (7th Sun Of The 4th Astral Moon) is the first and only son of the Valnyr family; A reputable, but small lineage of conjurers found in the Black Shroud.
After a chain of devastating events that occurred when he was 18, Ethri'a vanished. Having gone missing at length, he was likely presumed deceased by many.
Set on his own personal ambition, he has not since returned to his home nor alerted anyone of his current status. Leading his life in complete solitude.
Now, he may be seen as a wandering knight. Existing in this lifetime with one aim; To fulfill his one true wish.

Appearance & Personality

The Keeper stands a little above the average miqo'te in height. Physically he carries himself with what seems to be a well-trained grace, always standing tall and squared. Chin high, ears poised in a regal manner.
His short-medium hair consists of silver/white hues, bangs are swept to one side concealing his right eye.
One eye of amber, one of azure - Ethri'a has the trait of heterochromia, to which he seems to be ashamed of. He is often seen preening his bangs or arranging them into place, ensuring his amber eye is well obscured.
Pale skin-tone and a long white tail, his overall aesthetic is somewhat ethereal. He moves with much finesse in all manners, including fighting; to which seems practiced more so by refined technique than raw experience.
A man of little belongings, Ethri'a is not often seen adorned in anything other than his recognizable armour. Clad in silver plate, fitted well to his frame.
It is perhaps his most prized 'companion'. At a glance it can easily be told that it has seen a few hardships, however it has been fervently taken good care of.

Ethri'a is draped by a veil of melancholy, often seen or noted to be in a pensive state.
His neutral - somewhat constant, deadpan look is one of impassive or expressionless manner. It 'rarely' shifts.
However, when displeased - a scowl is quick to take over his features. Anyone who has had the 'pleasure' to deal with Ethri'a on multiple occasions would likely recognize this open display of emotion.
He offers many a smile but it is not at all distinguishable as to which are sincere and which are merely display.

A man of little words; his silence is often interpreted in many different ways.
Despite any incorrect assumptions, Ethri'a never moves to correct people, open to people to perceiving him as they wish. This can of course lead to many misunderstandings, of which he seems to have little to no desire of resolving.
When moved to words he rarely speaks of himself, choosing not to share his opinions.
Ethri'a dwells frequently on the past; and as a result he has what would be considered a good memory. Often quoting people on things they have said previously.
Many of his motions and habits are of repetition, despite that however he can be very hard to read.
Due to actively avoiding populated places, Ethri'a can be quite hard to come by. He is not at all fond of socialization or noise, nor at making any attempts at lasting or affecting relationships for unknown reasons.
The knight is not at all easy to get along with - through persistence, trial and effort he becomes more manageable over time.

Though for all his flaws he is polite and well-spoken. It can be clear he has a very kind heart and holds the best interests of others highly, perhaps even higher than that of his own at times.

Biography

Shrouded in mystery, little to nothing is known about Ethri'a's past.
His secrets revealed unto only those who manage to get close to him.

He is known to mention he is seeking to achieve his ‘wish’ and has dedicated his entire existence to doing so, which as a result leaves him unable to appreciate the small things in life, focused on his ambition.

'Aeri'a' seems to be someone from Ethri'a's past but his involvement is something that remains undisclosed. ● Teld're Eska'aldren : Sought out by the youth, Ethri'a was often whisked away to behold sights with 'Eska'aldren' as introduced, requested and called by. It was quickly established that the pair share many traits, yet both are extremely different. Initially it seemed that the younger would look up to him, however it was short-lived, with the elder failing to live up to any expectations that Teld're may have had for him. Over repeated interactions Ethri'a found himself growing fond of the younger, Teld're's persistance playing a heavy hand. Ethri'a finds it hard to decline Teld're of any requests for reasons that are not entirely clear to even himself. He has found taking a backseat and allowing the younger to dictate is easier than fighting Teld're's iron will. Although the pair argue, bicker and disagree on most points - Teld're's stubbornness rivaling his own, Ethri'a holds high regard for Teld're and likely considers him his 'closest' friend, despite the strained relationship they share. ● Little Shark : To be elaborated. ● Mar'khas Sol : 'Mar'khas' once stole from Ethri'a some years ago, however, always with the keen eye the knight was quite aware, and over drinks he quite openly admitted such, catching the other miqo'te out. At the time looking for a drinking partner the two struck an odd friendship, the thief not one to turn down free booze and quite suiting to Ethri'a, never asked unwanted questions. Drink, do not ask, drink, do not tell. Like a case of Deja Vu the pair were caught in a similar situation once again, Although Ethri'a recognized the younger (despite the many changes he had undergone aesthetically) 'Lucarin' as he introduced himself this time, was none the wiser. Once again lured by the knight to the bar and caught out by Ethri'a's wit. Are either of the names the thief gave to be true? Ethri'a does not know and quite frankly he does not care. The two get along very well, despite all their outstanding differences they find common grounds at the bottom of a bottle with many laughs to be had. ● J'azhar Tia : Ethri'a remains, even now - completely unawares as to what J'azhar's occupation is - A prostitute. Despite being tipped off multiple times by various words and phrases used around the Tia, it seems to go over Ethri'a's head. He seems to think somewhat highly of J'azhar - given that he and Teld're were once of very close stature and perhaps thinks given the Seeker's polite manner of dealing with things, that he is above such. Surely if he knew - it would certainly appall him, given Ethri'a's prude nature. However, for now he does not and J'azhar remains to be a pleasant fellow. ● Azureth Lirae : Coming to his aid in the Black Shroud, this young female Keeper found Ethri'a passed out in the shade of a great tree, the heaven's opened and rain started to pour down on the pair. Not one to blind-sight others in need, Azureth stayed with Ethri'a until he awoke, shielding him as best she could. Once returned to consciousness Ethri'a was quick to dismiss her, not wanting the abrasive attention that she lavished upon him. Eventually after much dispute Azureth agreed to give him space - though, being a hunter she continued to keep a close eye on him and tracked him for some weeks. On the rare occasion Ethri'a has been known to spot fleeting signs of the archer's unwelcome presence. ● L'vivae Tia : Hearty laughter and words exclaimed "You're the best, Steel" quickly turned upside down as 'Greaser' decided the knight was not to his best tastes. Ethri'a finding the unique looking, pink-haired seeker to be a 'pain' quickly realized he did not know the half of it! -Greaser's nerves tested by Ethri'a's prim and stuck-up mannerisms moved him to get up in the knight's face and prove to show what a real pain truly could be. Despite their one-time feud, Ethri'a holds no real opinion of the strange drug-user. Only a bad taste left in one's mouth. ● Aiouxdaux Beaumont : Their encounters few, Ethri'a was promised with sweet words from Eska'aldren "You'd like him." And so held expectations. 'Beaumont' as he simply calls him, the doctor, was taken well. Serving to come to Ethri'a's aid when he requested it of the Elezen, he there saved Teld're from a critical incident, to which Ethri'a feels somewhat indebted to him for. Although Aioudaux has uttered questionable things which offend his straight-laced ways, he still heavily trusts in Teld're's words, and so remains to give Aioudaux the benefit of the doubt. The Elezen as of late has been forward in his desires to become further acquainted with the knight, due to the open manner of how it's presented Ethri'a seems strongly resistant to the cause. ● Vincent Belsara : To be elaborated. ● Deitrala Verglace : Ethri'a seems to be quite taken by her, the female keeper with the white hair. Finding her company a little awkward, but to be desired for. Although she often stumbles and stammers over her words around him, Ethri'a feels a sensation of endearment, actively speaking with reassuring tones, and even offering aplenty of smiles. He is fond of her quiet nature, content just to be in her company without the need for words exchanged in conversation. ● L'Vanelle Denja : To be elaborated. ● Enzeru Onizuka : "You're different." A phrase stated by Ethri'a at every encounter, although he does not clarify it is likely spoke with intention towards Enzeru's aesthetic appearance, though in the manner he speaks, it sounds to hold much deeper meaning. The keeper initially drew Ethri'a's attention by holding a faint image akin to that of Aeri'a, causing him to stare long enough to spark Enzeru's curiosity. After chasing and pursuing the knight - failing the first but succeeding the second; Enzeru has since made it quite clear that Ethri'a is within the keeper's interests. ● A'cesu Tia : Although the pair have interacted on multiple occasions, each and every contact has been brief. The Tia continues to craft his own perception, painting a portrait of Ethri'a and quite openly displaying it to him through his comments. A'cesu seems to be rather taken by him, his curiosity aroused by Ethri'a's mysterious allure. ● Lho'a Zhwan : Acquainted through Aiouxdaux - The Elezen would see to it that the pair of Keepers would get along well, speaking words of prompt to the knight: "You should spend time together." Despite the idea not being in Ethri'a's best interests, he has found himself in situation alone with Lho'a. Through watching the other Keeper's movements whilst Lho'a served tea Ethri'a has found a strange sense of familiarity about him. ● Li'ur Nunh : The Seeker was quick off the mark to make all sorts of assumptions of the Keeper, especially focusing on the more outrageous details concerning his sexual activity and orientation. Ethri'a's mysterious facade seems to bother the Nunh a great deal, frustrating him. He recently attempted to goad Ethri'a into a fight, physically assaulting him to try and spur a reaction. Li'ur continues to try and push the knight's buttons verbally, striving to get under his skin.
