Even as an adult, she acknowledges it as part of her heritage and keeps her name but makes no effort to connect with the tribe or their traditions. Thus she is recognized as Hipparion in title only and even that is discarded among friends who merely refer to her as Ahria. The work of an Acquisition Specialist sees Ahria across all corners of the civilized realm, and some more dangerous hubs of activity where adventurers are often found. She also makes regular trips to the customs office at Mealvaan’s Gate in Limsa Lominsa securing goods and services for the House of Splendors. Though not one to actively engage with Eorzean politics, working for Rowena has provided rare opportunities to see inside some of the realms most complex struggles in recent years. Ahria has soft rounded features with a small nose, large bright eyes, and full pillowy lips. Her soft skin and slender frame carry her weight very well, allowing firm but supple curves to her lithe and youthful figure. She appears to be quite fit with the exception of a tiny bit of tummy fat, and is not very muscular. Her legs and bum however, are trim and strong like those of a runner which she prides herself on. Although clearly a girl’s voice, Ahria has a raspy mid-range that can make her sound a bit like a prepubescent boy at times, especially when she laughs. When speaking gently her tone softens and becomes much more feminine. She’s grown to accept her vocal range and doesn’t really make any effort to mask or hide it’s quirks, often protesting that, "it's cute and adds character". During her career as an Acquisition Specialist, Ahria has developed a preference for soaps and scented oils from Thavnair. A mix of exotic flowers with just a hint of spice will typically mark her skin and hair. She also loves apples and apple scented perfumes which she is known to wear on occasion. Ahria is typically cautious and reserved around strangers and can be somewhat awkward in social settings that are unfamiliar to her. Preferring to quietly observe her surroundings and company before acting. This analytical barrier often makes her seem aloof or shy even when the opposite may be true. Although she may be slow to open up, Ahria is an empathetic and caring girl who is fiercely loyal to her friends. She is warm and friendly among people she trusts and if encountered in this way, if she still feels safe, she will remain so even when meeting strangers. Already struggling with debts to the Syndicate and desperate to find a better life for her family, K’laani sold herself to the House of Splendors. After purchasing her debts, Rowena moved the girls to Revenant’s Toll where on the 24th Sun of the 3rd Astral Moon, Ahria was born. From an early age, Ahria helped around the House of Splendors with simple chores and formed bonds with the workers, their families, and other kids her age. Whenever possible, little Ahria would be her mothers shadow. Following her on errands and helping in whatever small way she was able until K'laani would have to leave again for Ul'dah. As she grew older, the Toll became as much her family as her mother had been. There was no father to speak of and Ahria’s mother returned to work as a performer less than a year after her birth, so much of her childhood was spent in the care of others. Growing up surrounded by various skilled artisans and laborers, Ahria began her mentorship very early. Starting out merely as a curious child under foot she was quickly tasked with simple jobs. As time went on her tasks became larger and more complex until she became an apprentice and earned her own tools. Forging A Path Over the years approaching adulthood, Ahria honed her skills finding joy in the arts of cooking and tailoring. Once she was old enough proper work assignments became a regular part of her days, becoming a skilled cook and artisan. By her 16th name day, she had achieved notable skill in several trades and was assigned a tutor in business, languages, and art. Within another four years she emerged from Revenant’s Toll a refined and intelligent woman. But she was also an indentured servant to Rowena who had paid her keep and kept a tally on her investment. Ahria’s future belonged to Rowena and she would have to work for the House of Splendors to pay off her debts. She had been molded into a powerful asset, a weapon Rowena would aim at the riches of the known world. K'ahria Sirro, Acquisition Specialist for the House of Splendors. Magical Prodigy From an early age, Ahria had been fascinated by adventurers passing through Revenant’s Toll. Those in particular that caught her attention were spell casters. As she grew older and learned more about the history and practices of arcane disciplines her heart set upon Nym. Legends of the floating city and it’s scholars fuelled her imagination sparking the desire in her to one day study magic herself. Knowing her duties within the House of Splendors would not afford her leave to pursue arcane study full time, Ahria manoeuvred herself into a business relationship with the Limsan Import & Export office. With her position as Liaison secured, she immediately signed on with the Arcanists guild and would return there on her free time to learn the art. Naturally analytical, her training with the Arcanists guild ingrained in her a cool and calculating persona that seems to override her other traits when confronted with danger. Her mind is able to find calm within stratagems and arcane calculations that free her from panicking under pressure unless faced with dire circumstances. Whenever possible she will try to fight from range where she can survey the battle field and manipulate the conditions of victory in her favor. To this end, her arcane codex, the crux of her spell casting ability, is never far from reach. Please feel free to add your own rumors under PC!
