GENERAL INFORMATION Lazarus Delacroix is a quick draw sharpshooting Elezen hailing from the city of Ishgard. Originally following his father's footsteps in training as a Temple Knight, he soon found he had surprisingly good aim. From there, what began as a game to pass time and entertain his friends and family soon became a life-long passion in marksmanship. Now he travels where he will across Eorzea, using his talent in exchange for coin - and food. Calm. Beautiful. Ruthless. A cold blooded killer with the face of an angel. This Elezen has no qualms about using his skills for less than savory jobs, providing the price is right and his identity protected. He carries out his tasks with precision and patience, and perhaps a glint of excitement in his eyes that ought not be there. Outside of his... work mode, he often comes across as polite, friendly, and relatively open. APPEARANCE With platinum blond hair, sea blue eyes, and a height of 6'10, Lazarus stands out in the crowd and towers over most others around him. His jewelry is subtle and his fashion is usually that of a somewhat well-to-do upper-class Ishgardian, though frayed a little around the edges. Sometimes an unlit cigarette can be seen hanging from the corner of his mouth. LIKES Food. A bottomless pit often seen with food in hand or mouth. Weapons. Weapons Enthusiast. He has an unnatural attraction to well-crafted weapons, especially guns or swords. Drink. A taste for fine liqueur but just as at home drinking something that smells suspiciously like paint thinner. DISLIKES Heat. Often dressing as though he's still in Ishgard, the heat of Ul'dah is particularly troubling to him. Sand. It gets everywhere and he tires of emptying his boots out. Flying. He prefers to keep his feet firmly on the ground, thank you. Dhalmels weren't born with wings for a reason. STRENGTHS Patience. Usually calm in the midst of chaos. *Unless your name is Nhadala Ul'dala and then any even-keeled temperament he's cultivated goes flying out the window. Aim. Possesses an uncanny ability to hit almost any target he aims for. Speed. A good trait to have in a duel. Voice. Has a clear tenor singing voice, though rarely heard. WEAKNESSES Apathy. He's just seen far too much and sometimes finds the world pointless. Communication. Often keeps his thoughts to himself, much to his detriment. Long barreled revolver: A silver-colored gun polished to a shine he can see his reflection in. Knife x2: Two six ilm blades, polished in a similar mirror-like fashion as the revolver. Ring: A finely crafted gold ring set with a sapphire, and inscribed on the inner band with the letter 'D'. Necklace: A small silver coin stamped with the symbol of Halone hangs on a silver chain around his neck. Misc: A few sheets of crumpled paper, stained with dirt and blood, and scrawled upon with illegible handwriting. COMBAT & WEAPONRY Having first trained as a knight, Lazarus is skilled in a number of various areas and techniques, though his most preferred weapons of choice these days are guns. GUN His most proficient skill - the bread and butter of his career and almost always on target. His favorite gun being a silver-colored long barrel revolver polished to a shine he can see his reflection in. BOW He trained with a bow before moving to a gun. Not his first choice but has knowledge of the proper use of them. KNIVES He generally carries two on his person in the event he loses the gun and is forced into close quarters combat. Lazarus also often has a boot knife - just in case! SWORD His sword skills are passable from his past training as a knight, though he doesn't practice with it as much these days as he should. Details about the fight. BACKSTORY Born the first son of an Ishgardian couple of noble birth, his family has a long and storied history of serving under House Dzemael. From a young age, Lazarus looked up to and aspired to be a knight like his father, and was often seen swinging 'round a wooden sword or making slingshots with friends and firing at statues, pretending to slay dragons. Eventually, he was allowed to take archery lessons. He began to pursue the path of a knight but dropped out suddenly after the death of his father. From there he turned to follow more academic (and safer) pursuits, becoming a student of the arts, mainly music and voice. His pretty face and well-honed singing voice put him in the good graces of his teachers and on a seemingly easy fast track to future stardom - until he walked out of class one night and never went back. RECENT HISTORY Recently he has been seen working various odd jobs, and acting as a for-hire marksman to those discerning clients who know what to ask.
