Appearance

Height: Rather tall for a Miqo'te, standing at almost 6 foot. Despite being tall for his kind, he often feels inferior to most other races.

Build: Athletic, tone, and lean. This is the result of daily routines and serving in the Crimson Fleet.

Hair: Sapphire, kind of wild. Unintentionally regal-appearing. Some say he looks younger because of it.

Eyes: Sapphire, average-sized and sharp. His pupils are larger than most and give off an icy glare in certain lighting conditions.

Skintone: Fairly tan. Being a sailor as well as his constant training has taken a toll on his skin tone.

Markings: He doesn't bare any unique markings, but the ones apparent are the usual markings of a Seeker found just below his eyes/on his cheeks.

History

On a particularly fateful day, not much was known as to what exactly happened during this unknown incident. Ship debris floated about on the surface of the vast ocean waters, including an unconscious, rather young Miqo'te. Much evidence and thorough searching showed that he was the only survivor. Floating on top of a water barrel for what seemed like several hours, Ryuki was finally picked up by a passing by ship that was on its way to Limsa Lominsa. Aboard the ship were knights of the Crimson Fleet. Within them were two individuals who felt an unexpected urge to take him in, making him their adopted son soon after. However, due to unfortunate events, not a whole lot of time went by before the young Miqo'te lost his new parents. Having only the memories of them (and not the ones before that gave him life), he held onto what he could. All he had to show was a memento of sorts: A necklace with a fiery ruby jewel worn tightly around his left wrist that was often hidden. Inheriting their will, he was then brought under the Crimson Fleet's care. He was only six cycles old then, when they passed away.

Being in the Crimson Fleet after all these years, and still currently a part of them, Ryuki received the nickname, "Sapphire" extremely early on. This name would end up replacing his given name, to avoid harassment, and was in reference to his hair and eyes that bared an uncanny similarity in color. He grew up strictly and felt suffocated by his mentors, wanting more than to just study. Despite being bitter about it all, he learned a lot, ranging from hand-to-hand combat, to swordplay and various weapons, to simple medical needs. His time spent included protecting ships to and fro destinations, as well as patrolling within the city. On the side, he enjoys self-training and volunteer work, both of which are daily routines of his. A life goal he pledged, was to set forth in finding ways to better himself in order to protect the ones dear to him, as well as everyone he possibly could. It wasn't until his later years when he decided to want to pursue in becoming a Paladin.

Personality

"Stand guard!!"

Confident, outgoing, and curious. He would tackle any situation with his head up high and with an open-mind. If comrades were included, their safety would be highest priority. Always looking out for others, one could almost say he acts as though he doesn't care about his well-being too often. Though usually resilient, Ryuki would back down from a fight if necessary.

"The usual?"

When not on the field or in battle, the blue-haired Miqo'te can often be seen in/or around the Drowning Wench located in Limsa Lominsa. His forwardness tends to come off misleading with the opposite sex, in which compliments to others have gotten him in trouble before despite being a gentleman. He enjoys meeting new people, but he himself wouldn't know why he obtains such a thrill in doing so. Every new person is like an adventure of its own according to him.

Strengths: A strong-willed gentleman and an excellent fighter, especially when it comes to melee/close-quarter-combat. This isn't a well-known fact though, and often times than not people are lead to believe he isn't capable fighter. He is passive when it comes to fighting, but when someone is endangered, especially one close to him, Ryuki will not hesitate to step in and do what he does best. Protect and survive.

Weaknesses: If one could call it a weakness, he's extremely prone to wanting to aid others. He cannot resist attempting to make someone happy if he knows he himself can achieve such. However, like a double-edged sword, this means he can easily be taken advantage of.

Family

Mitsunari Minami (deceased): Passive-aggressive fellow with a "never give up, never surrender" personality. A highly-respected man. His father.

Kagura Minami (deceased): Monotonous. A beautiful tactician who only spoke when needed to. Very caring, but uncommonly displayed it. His mother.

Companions

J'huiz Suhzu: Their friendship started out simple, but soon evolved into something more as they began spending more and more time with each other. Due to culture clashes, one could say /that/ was the spark of it all. They are currently in a relationship with each other.

Caysen Meridian:

Scarlet Willow: An unexpected figure who very easily became close friends with him. They run into each other very often and always have something interesting to talk about. According to him, he wouldn't trade her for anyone else.

Echo Tide: A Roegadyn that ran into Ryuki one day when lost and confused. An event occured in which has lead her to follow the Miqo'te around in hopes to find more about herself. She is more so or less an apprentice, but not intentionally.

Lainseworth Ravencraft: This Lalafell has lead Ryuki through various joint-missions in the past. Ryuki admires and respects Lainseworth despite treating him like a younger brother.

Jayce Lightfall: This platinum-haired Hyur was one of the players in the 'games' they both were a part of. Being the first and only male to have both stripped and seen Ryuki naked, they've been seen hanging out together from time to time. ..But not like /that/.

Friends/Acquaintances

Xenedra Ambreaus: Mischievous. Red-headed Miqo'te whom he frequents at the Soliloquy. She has tendencies to randomly pinch his cheeks without his consent, although he doesn't necessarily dislike it.

Manari Onai: Shy, cute, and Gridania-native. He plans on visiting her if or when he decides to step foot on the grassy plains.

Abaigeal Causland: Silly, easy-to-tease Highlander whom he's recently come acquainted with. He hasn't been around her much as of lately and wishes he could again.

Misaio Imella: An acquaintance he gained through a drinking game that he won. Foolishly betting himself as the prize, the game resulted in a possible new friendship.
