Tieve Jeanne
[edit]
Tieve Jeanne is a traveling researcher, continuing the research of her father's. The journey so far has been fruitless, the codex Tieve carries around, and holds dear to her heart, barely gives any information on what her father researched. To read this codex would be reading a mad man's scribbles and lines of scripts slightly legible for a person to read, and none of it made sense. Despite that, Tieve's clues on her father's work for two sections were over an abundant amount of plants, rocks and labeling of each. Sadly, that's all Tieve could decipher, and she left the safety of Limsa Lominsa to understand her father's work.
She's not a beauty like the dancers in Ul'dah, but she's fair, if not a plain one. Blonde short hair with braid or two on the side, hazel colored eyes, small nose and mouth. It's difficult keeping up appearances for any lady not blessed with the best genetics, Tieve wears dresses, gloves, thigh highs to cover as much skin as possible, fearful of showing any of the burns and minor scars over her body. Otherwise, she has put a lot of effort in preserving her youth, smooth, soft skin and minor amounts of make up on her face- a reddish blush on her cheeks and pink lipsticks is all she needs for the face. The glasses she wears are cosmetics. The thick lens replaced with non-functioning lens, she will never be seen without these glasses nor her codex.
She's a gentle lady with a friendly disposition. She treats others like she would treat her own children- with care and compassion to others, and tries to understand most people. She might understand, or seem like she has a clue, whether they were good or evil she'd care for them all. Until they bite at her. Though, she's friendly in general with others, she despises the Garleans the most for the destruction of Limsa Lominsa in the past, releasing Bahamut and sending destructive meteors down upon Limsa, resulting in the death of her father, and the destruction of the book-laden house she resided in. She'll treat any Garleans as a potential enemy, keeping her distance and avoiding contact. Hatred for the Garleans burns them, but she treats them with as much politeness she can muster within herself, breaking away as soon as she can.

Here is a list of recent and/or notable fights, roleplay scenes, etc. that CHARACTER has been a part of. This list is by no means all inclusive, and serves more as a general reference as to what HE/SHE has been up to.
She spent most of her days in Limsa Lominsa with a studious father who loved his daughter as much as he did with the millions of books in his study. Tieve's mother was a sailor who occasionally came home from her sails, stay with the family for a few weeks and go back out to the sea. Tieve never managed to learn who her mother was, but she knew she cared for Tieve, bringing home a variety of gifts for the daughter when the family greeted her back home at the docks. Growing up, Tieve's upbringing came from mostly a tavern keeper in the lower quarters of Limsa Lominsa. She was an old Roe with streaks of gray hair, and still packed quite some energy as Tieve usually snuck behind the counter of the lady before she smacked a few louts in and threw them out like trash. Her compassion for others came from the Caretaker's husband, he was a doctor who took care of most patients for as little as a few pieces of gil. He always asked for returns through food or a few fishes, which kept the tavern running and the wife's anger quelled since he often brought in enough meals to feed the paying drunkards. Tieve's interaction with her father were bare, but she treasured every moment of it. Tieve's father, Reynald Jeanne, kept to himself mostly but tried to find time to spend with his daughter. It was rare to find him knocking on the tavern door to pick up his daughter, but when Reynald did he gave Jeanne lessons about the world, how things worked and played with her as much before the sunset. When he returned to his studies, the man lost his sight on the world around him, went out at nights and returned mid-day in the morning without a warning, only leaving behind notes for Tieve to rush down to the caretaker with a small pouch of Gil. Growing into her teenage years, she fell in love with a named Lane Miller and the two were deeply in love with one another for a few years. Lane wasn't the best with his health, a family history of heart diseases and he was the earliest to catch such a disease. The two spent as much time together before he would depart from the world. To be brief: he departed from the world with a smile, and took the ring off Tieve's finger and wished her to find another man like him, as he wouldn't be happy to find Tieve brooding and forlorn pass the age of forty still clinging to him. It took her years to reconcile with Lane's death, but that day also became the day Limsa's cool, mellow sea breeze ended with the fiery air of Bahamut's fury. Held back by what is now current day's Yellowjackets, Tieve protested and wanted to tag along with her father in search of her mother that night. The father knew how stubborn she was, and told the men restraining her to evacuate with the rest of the citizens while he searched for his wife. He never came back, and so did the wife. It was safe to assume they both perished by Bahamut's flames. The next week after, coming back to Limsa and to her home. Only a book survived of what was left of her father's study, and this one was an unfinished one compared to the many books she has seen. She kept it as a momento, and later it became her drive to leave Limsa in search of what Reynald was studying. Leaving the Roe caretaker with a hug, and her husband too, she departs to the new realm.
These are mostly backstory-related relationships.

I'm an easy-going and patient roleplayer. Please give criticism and don't sugarcoat it as I am mature enough to understand that scalding criticism (with actual criticism to follow rather than just insults) will help me improve more than cordial lies. Cordialness is good too as long as it's honest. My syntax can be a little awkward, so please tell me if I do make a mistake. I've been doing on and off short story writing for years, and aim to improve with story telling, character building and building up my writing skills with all the people in roleplaying. It's been fun for a while, and I hope to keep it that way. That said, I avoid drama like the plague, as it's full of headaches and nothing fun to be had.
Overall, I'm pretty chill as far as guidelines go. I don't have an extensive list of 'Do's or 'Don't's or things that I personally find triggering. So chances are, you won't offend me or make me uncomfortable unless you're trying to or just being really skeevy in general. Still, for the sake of making sure everyone's on the same page here, let me make a few mentions in particular:
