His heritage as one of the nomadic tribe, the Bush Vipers, comes through unmistakably -- at least among those privy to their existence -- in his features; grey-blue skin, coarse and dark blue hair, a slender tail ending in a matted black tuft, and deeply jade-colored eyes. Scars & Markings: Facial markings of various shapes and colors among Miqo'te are very common. As a result of genetic mutation, Sail was born heavily cut with lines resembling stripes adorning his face, neck, shoulders and upper back. As such, he was regarded as disfigured, a leper, by his birth family -- a Miqo'te tribe steeped in age-old tradition. However to most Eorzeans his appearance is exotic at worst and rarely worthy of mention. Sail has one significant scar bisecting the bridge of his nose, which appears very old. Voice: The pitch of Sail's voice is deeper than one might assume to glance him over. With an elegant Queen's British (Lominsan) accent and speech soaked in honey and wine, he seems to purr through a perpetual, condescending smirk, often slipping into singsong. It is a voice which commands audience, for all the world is a stage. Clothing: While a wild eccentric at heart, in terms of wardrobe Sail frequently eschews ornate finery in favor of comfortable and snug traveling layers, though he is won't to subtly accentuate his dress in accordance with the latest local trends. He is always seen with a pair of silver spectacles pinned to the bridge of his nose, and harbors a particularly strong distaste for closed-toe shoes. Today, although Sail works independently, the two are still very close. The inspector regards him not only as an invaluable ally, but as family. Now enjoying a quiet retirement, Aerom is always thrilled to meet with his protege. At Sail's behest, he frequently offers his own perspectives and insights. Exhaustive documents signed with an A will undoubtedly always be found strewn about Sail's work space.” PC Y'ashe Bajhiri ( ✔ ♦) - The Foolish ”For a time, Sail had sworn fealty to Lady Bajhiri and her Ravens -- a shady band of cutthroats and misfit adventurers. Their relationship as allies could only be described as tumultuous with all its ups and downs. While Sail admired the Lady's grace and passion, he frequently took issue with the her judgement, thinking her overt and irresolute. The two were pitted at odds with one another on several occasions. After a botched outing left many of the Ravens, Sail included, feeling particularly shaken, he searched his emotions and made the decision to leave the Nest, stealing away in the night. Since, he has almost entirely avoided contact with Lady Bajhiri or her Ravens.” Ahzra'li Lhomi ( ✔ ♦) - The Earnest ”Ahzra'li Lhomi was Sail's soft-spoken counterpart during his stint at the Raven's Nest, in addition to being a caring friend and confidant. He tells himself a simple hunter, and while Sail senses there is more to him than he lets on, he respects him enough not to pry needlessly. Despite himself, Sail has felt Ahzra'li's absence since departing the Nest. If he were to place trust again in any of their ranks, the boy would be his first choice.” Ketsuchi Kotetsu ( ✔ ♠) - The Demon ”Ketsuchi, a fearsome and vicious knight in Lady Bajhiri's employ with a spotty trail of misdeeds in his wake. Sail is privy to many of the man's secrets as a result of an investigation he'd spurred in preparation for a duel. The match has yet to be set, but upon learning of Sail's exhumation into his past, Ketsuchi cornered him, threatened him, humiliated him. Sail being prideful and childish, a boiling resentment for the man nearly consumed him in the aftermath, and still quietly seethes today.” Marcus Feral ( ✔ ● - The Deluded ”The Good Captain. Sail admires and respects Marcus -- even now, ostensibly, as an adversary. He senses something very similar to himself 'neath the guise of the older nobleman, and thus yearns to play and best him any way he might. Sail has recently learned that Marcus had a bounty placed on his head, and is all too gleeful to be eluding the would-be collectors. It's cat and cat, and Sail cannot wait for the games's next phase.” Dovienya Cuenn ( ✔ ●) - The Illusive ”The Good Captain's better half. While assisting the Ravens, it seemed that she preferred to remain behind the curtain and out of harm's way. Despite this, Sail regards the icy-eyed woman warily. He has been largely unsuccessful in digging up information on her, and he is all but certain that is by design.” Rhel Belhi ( ✔ ●) - The Piteous ”Rhel Belhi is a reserved, stammering Miqo'te in the employ of the Ravens. She seems to keep largely to herself, and Sail has no strong feelings for better or worse toward her. He has seen her capability in both stealth and battle proven, but he has also witnessed her losing control of her emotions in decisive moments. If anything, he regards her as one might a coddled child.” Anagna Kenesa ( ✔ ●) - The Enigma ”Another member of the Ravens with whom Sail has not closely bonded. Sail quietly likes this one. His murderous quips and flair for the dramatic have elicited more than one wicked sneer from the inspector.
