Born far away in Garlean occupied territory. Her parents killed in the burning of her tribe, the lone survivor in fact. Being raised up by a 'merciful' Garlean officer as her personal slave to his desires. Winter's childhood was one of sex, blood, and machines. Growing up learning about the Garlean Magitek army, and finally standing up for herself against the master. In this case, quickly becoming the master, having gotten a lovely web of connections due to her young childhood 'hobby' she quickly got up the ranks as the head of the Doman sector Magitek designer. Growing fast friends by being friendly torwards the tormented Domans whilst also being Garlean herself. Winter's past life, her homeland, her parents dying in front of her was locked away deep within her mind almost forgotten. That is, until one day the Domans rebelled against the Garleans. The chaotic battle ensued and as Winter watched her Doman friends die by the hands of her own machines, she realized the monster she became. Becoming a turncoat against the Garleans was easy enough, however gaining the trust of the people who lost their families to her walkers was another thing. Rescuing all who would follow her into Eorzean lands only to disappear into the Castrum Meridianum giving false information to gain supplies for an escape. To make a new life in Eorzea is easy enough, once you get friends that is. Soon as she got onto a walker of her own, a band of misfits lead by a Miqo'te man named Tai Aubade stormed the fortress. As they found her, she gave them what they needed to get out of the place, along with them she found a place suitable to live for awhile. Working for Tai on a few projects while she made a living elsewhere. Being the head of something very very important for one faction to soon turn around and support their enemy would make yourself a rather large target, and that it did as Winter was the target of assassination, twice. The first time coaxed her to change her appearance, but not her name. Henceforth sparking a second assassination attempt upon her, getting shot in the arm and losing a hand. Winter resorted to using her knowledge to create a Magitek left hand as a replacement, skinned over with the help of a small weak voidsent resin from a close friend. Regaining her courage to walk outside into the light again. Winter met with a Twin Adder contact to discuss business over the fight against Voidsents. Vanilla Wayfarer was her contact, and on the agreement that Winter created anti-voidsent weapons in exchange of protection against the Garlean spies. Winter got her life back, changing her appearance to become a Miqo'te once more, however her right-eye has kept the same color as her Hyuran self. Now she is off learning, living, free from the Garleans clutch in peace... for now.
