Vasir’li was born to a very traditional and established Keeper clan nestled deep in the reaches of the Black Shroud. His mother, Vasir, was a studious leader. Her focus was heavily placed on raising her daughters to follow in her footsteps while her sons held less of her attention and hopes. Despite this, her desire to see them useful is what led to the arrangement between his very first mate and lover, Shae. This led to his one and only son born to him named Shae’a. | Vasir’li was born to a very traditional and established Keeper clan nestled deep in the reaches of the Black Shroud. His self-serving attitude and yearning for more out of life beyond family are what created the divide between himself and his life partner. Shae was a devout believer and firm follower of upholding values while Vasir'li cared for none of it. Their differences in this led to his departure of the clan. Eager to see the world, he abandoned his tribal life with only a note to explain. |

While performing a job, a Captain took interest in his skills and offered him an opportunity of a lifetime. Join his crew or sink to the bottom of the sea, a choice given after failing the "job" of stealing the Captain's belongings. Naturally, he accepted. Within a few years, his role moved from mere deck swabber to the Captain’s most trusted mate. When the Captain succumbed to his injuries after a failed siege, it was Vasir’li who stepped forward and became the new Captain. |

Vasir'li Solhu Song of Sea and Flame About
Error creating thumbnail: File missing
Physical Appearance Impossible to miss in the crowd, this ‘black cat’ most notable feature is his penchant for the darker colors. Dull grays, midnight blues, leather and weathered cotton all dark in hues. His gloves and boots are far from brand new, the condition of its making worn with age while sporting various marks from unspoken battles. Often called ‘hat’ due to his love for wearing them, he is almost never seen without sporting one atop his head. Decorative hats and plumed corsairs with the brim low enough to conceal all but his lips. A mess of wavy, raven-night locks peppered with grays hangs from off his shoulder and falls down along his back reaching just shy of his waistline. His tail seems to continue the tradition of his hair; long, thick, and bushy at the end. His large, fluffed ears each sport a series of gold hoops along the length. Rings of various types and sizes line his fingers from gold to silver. Silver-light eyes lined and smeared with Kohl compliment the racial markings on his cheeks. His face is far from neat due to the shadow of stubble often present around his jawline. Some days he cleans it up for presentable reasons, yet the Keeper is more known for his rugged appearance. While not clear at first sight, age has toned this once young and aspiring Keeper into a rigid and cold corsair. Eyes framed with crow’s feet give away the Keeper’s venerable point in life. A lifetime spent in the company of sea-faring sort makes its presence known in every word spoken. Scars & Markings: While his body is not free of scars as he has gained quite a few over the years, none of them are remarkable or distinguishable enough to have its own story or purpose. Aside from the racial markings on his face—three dark black lines on each cheek—there are no visible tattoos seen on his body. His eyes are often lined with dark kohl and smudged around the lids for a smokey effect and look. Voice: A rumbling deep timbre rich in sound and roughened by a sea-faring accent. On an average day, he speaks like a marauder; crude and without care for whoever is listening. When docile, however, his words are crisp and spoken with a gratuitous waxed lilt of gentility and politeness. Smooth and near decadent in its crooned delivery.
Selfish, Hedonistic, Cold, Indifferent, Curmudgeon
Error creating thumbnail: File missing This Keeper’s personality can be described simply as laconic—a brooding presence that teeters between dour indifference to odious in demeanor. Serious to a fault, he carries a near consistent introverted disposition in the presence of strangers, ever leery and guarded of those who ask too much or attempt to get too close. Once a natural born socialite capable of whipping up a conversation with a smile and a laugh, years of playing the hiding game has transformed him into a bit of a misanthrope, favoring solitude and silence over chatter and company.
