[hide]Character
Trisselle Rondelet is the daughter of Pelderain Rondelet, a well-respected Ishgardian Ambassador. Her mother's origins have been made know to her through a painful experience, one that she will not likely speak of publicly. Both her mother and father are dead. Though Ishgardian herself, Trisselle has spent the majority of her life in Ul'dah. The wannabe-Elezen has never wanted for coin, or anything else, but she rarely focuses on her social status. (Except when it's of use...) Her life and passions are Aether and its types magick.
Appearance
With long, rose pink hair and mismatched aqua and blue eyes, Trisselle considers herself a fair candidate in terms of appearance. She is petite in stature, measuring only roughly 5 fulm, and has a thin build. Honestly, the miqo'te is a bit too thin, because she doesn't eat nearly as much as she should. Though quick in short bursts, Trisselle is not an athlete, and has no muscle mass to speak of.
Behaviour
Trisselle is quick-witted and often sarcastic when in informal settings. And she needs to be, for the usual company she keeps. Her intellect outweighs her emotions in nearly all aspects of life. Her father was her icon in terms of what she considers "proper" behaviour in front of others, which honestly leaves little to be desired in tact. From living in Ul'dah, her moral values of right and wrong have become slightly skewed. Trisselle is intelligent, very ambitious, and will do anything to get what she wants.
Combat
Trisselle's skills in Thaumaturgy are rivaled only by the other Magisters in the Thaumaturges guild. Though a part of the secret Order of Black Mages, she tries not to flaunt her true abilities in front of many people. She has been training and learning it with her father since she could hold a wand, so roughly 28 years now. In the past few years, she has studied Conjury, but more so how it works than in practice. She does know a few basic skills well: such as Stone, Aero, and Cure. Trisselle has minimal knowledge in the Arcanum, as she doesn't believe it is a 'true' magick discipline for mortals to learn. She has no skill and no desire to ever hold any other sort of weapon, other than a wand or staff, but she has been taught how to use a rapier.

- ■ "That one's one o' them Magisters. I wouldn't trust her as far as you can toss her. They're capable of some dark shite." - Brass Blade
- ■ "I heard she killed a man in his sleep. People will do anything for a price these days." - Mysterious Citizen
- ■ "Highly-intelligent and self-assured. Trisselle is a woman who knows what she wants and takes it. And...when she opens up she is just as vulnerable as the rest of us." - Ralamano Nulumano
- ■ "I...have known few people to endure pain such as she has. I thought her callous once, but she is quite beautiful in every respect. I wish greatly for her and Ralamano to continue finding peace in one another." - Y'lyfriel Sikah
- ■ "Trisselle? I used to think she was some cold-blooded creature that came from the north -- her attitude was such that reminded me of that. When you set aside your prejudices and misunderstandings, however, I think that perception changes. She's a bit stiff, but I wouldn't say she's unkind. Just to the point, and blunt. Say... that sounds like me!" - Onuma Ahntifi
- ■ "When I first met Trisselle, she terrified me, she still does, actually. I felt she was cold, and uncaring. Part of me thinks that's a good thing... Though recently, with her willingness to help me with my own issues and troubles, I feel she is somewhat less cold than I originally thought, she seems to just be very uh... To the point. I suppose that really -is- a good thing, all things considered." - Fen'rin Taveck
- ■ "Trisselle can be hard to get along with, and I'm not sure I'll ever be able to fully understand the way she thinks. But she is as fiercely loyal a friend as one could hope for. Just don't get on her bad side." - Emilienoix Bellegarde
History/Timeline
Starting 32 Years Past:
- Trisselle was raised for 18 years within a stone tower on the edge of the Coerthas Central Highlands. Though she claims to be Ishgardian, Trisselle has never set foot into the city of Ishgard, nor is actually considered a citizen. (But, try to tell her that and you may regret it.)
- This is due to her race and rather "dishonourable" way of entering the world. Pelderain Rondelet, her father, slept with an Ul'dahn prostitute named T'abodji Umi. A year later, she appeared on his doorstep, pleading for him to take their daughter, who she called T'leytai, and who was also starving, sick and on the edge of death. The man refused, and T'abodji died there, shielding her daughter from the chilly nights.
- A maidservant living within Pelderain's tower finally took in the babe, after days of her conscience eating her from within. She renamed her Trisselle, and cared for her as her own. It was not until a few weeks later when the baby Trisselle was crying inconsolably that Pelderain even knew she was still alive. Though he protested vehemently, the maidservant was allowed to keep her, so long as she remained in the tower and as far away from the man as possible. Once Trisselle had grown into a small child, her skills in aether began to blossom in inconvenient ways. It was only then that Pelderain began to take an interest in the child and started claiming her as his own.
- Years later, once she was 18 cycles, Pelderain had spent much time with Trisselle, convincing her to undergo the training within Ul'dah to become a fully fledged Thaumaturge, even though she was already talented. He encouraged her to take risks, push herself, and never back down from anything. It was only through these ways that she would ever amount to anything worth while. Or worth his attention. At that point, Trisselle was enamoured with her father and would do near-to anything to please him. Along with this, Pelderain had plenty of time to fill her head with misconceptions about other races, especially Keeper Miqo'te. Unwilling to confess his inadvertent murder of Trisselle's mother, he blamed her death on a made-up Keeper tribe to take the focus away from himself.
- Once in Ul'dah, Trisselle wss overwhelmed by seeing so many people, and experienced her first bout with 'racism' directed towards her. Due to her appearance, she was often treated as a joke by her tutors, and not taken seriously in her craft. Her sadness turned to anger, which lead to more and more drastic actions to gain their attention. Once she realized that by being cruel and merciless gained her what she wanted most efficiently, it is all she knew. With any remnants of her conscience crushed to seek the power she so desperately wanted, the woman was unstoppable, and worked her way through the ranks of the Thaumaturge Guild. When she was 27 cycles old, she received her appointment as Magister.
- Along the way, she met several aspiring thaumaturges, but none caught her attention as S'aerdha Tia. The man was infuriatingly talented, and Trisselle felt as if she would never catch up, despite being his equal in practically everything. She hated him. But, over time and collaboration, her hate dwindled into a rivalry, and finally a begrudging friendship.
Currently:
- It is through S'aerdha that Trisselle came to know of the 81st Foreign Levy. Though she did not take to them quickly, as expected, she does not regret assisting them in their various causes. If anything, it has opened more doors than closed, and her curiosities about the world have only grown. The people she has met there have truly made the greatest difference, and caused her to rethink her life strategies. She would likely not be alive after slaying her father, if not for their caring nature.
- Trisselle will continue to tread cautiously down a lighter path than before, so long as her current devotions remain intact.
