Appearance & Personality

There is a definite feminine edge to his form. One might notice the overall softness of his form, padding over the muscle beneath that allows him to perform his martial arts as a monk. His hips flare out just slightly, much as a female's. His hair hangs to about his shoulders, dyed a rich, vibrant royal purple with colibri pink highlights. His tail, covered in short, but very soft fur, sports similar coloration, and his ears are tipped in pink. Generally seen sporting a lip paint in some shade of purple, with orchid being his favorite, and eyeshadow of a salmon pink, or some other shade of pink, M'ikal is not one easily forgotten when seen. It can probably be safe to assume he is testosterone deficient. He often dresses up in more feminine clothing. When he does so, he often confuses people by referring to himself as "she" and "her" and has been mistaken for a female from a distance before. He also seems to enjoy being referred to as a female when dressed in such attire.

M'ikal at one point was extremely shy, to a severe fault where he'd crouch in a corner and not approach anyone, hoping to be overlooked. As his time in Ul'dah grew and with confidence boosts from his friends, M'ikal is still perhaps a little on the shy side, though not nearly as timid. He is still relatively quiet, and hesitant about approaching others first, preferring to observe and absorb knowledge that way. However, once engaged in conversation, he can actually be quite chatty, depending on the subject. Overall he is a kind-hearted, happy and spirited youth with a definite sense of right and wrong. And though he gives the impression of weakness with his general personality and physical appearance, he actually has quite a feral protective side, and will rise up to protect those he considers friends. He tends to have a short attention span, often easily getting distracted by things... sounds, bugs, birds.. something shiny. However, he can use focus when needs be.

Biography

Childhood

M'ikal's childhood was not all that different than any other desert born Seekers. His tribe was a small offshoot of the Marmot tribe, far out in the Sagoli, well beyond the borders of the Drake tribe. He was born to a quiet female, a mother who's name he does not remember, yet he would know her if he saw her again, if only by the light in her eyes and the kindness of her voice. She was of course, one of his sire's many females, again, as is typical for the Seekers. His first few years passed without incident, his sire seemed proud of this accomplishment, and would encourage M'ikal as the youth grew.

Teenage

As M'ikal came of age, things changed. He learned just how cruel and vicious his sire was. His sire was not Nunh because of wisdom or real prowess, but by cruelty and deceit did he maintain his position in the tribe. By sending young Tias out on tasks far too dangerous or advanced to them, he kept them in a mental state that they were not strong enough to challenge him. Things came to a head the day his sire found young M'ikal holding hands with another young Tia. On that day, M'ikal was held down, and a word tatooed onto the small of his back. That word was "female" and M'ikal keeps it carefully covered with makeup usually. But he will never get rid of it, and he will always harbor a hatred for this man. He was also banished, along with the one whom he had been with. Sadly, his friend did not make the journey to Ul'dah.

M'ikal arrived in Ul'dah as a teenager, and the city was both scary and fascinating at once. Unused to city customs, and even the manner of speaking many used, he surely would not have survived if not for the kindness of Rick Fairchild. The midlander found the boy hunkered in a corner of the Quicksand, being terrorized by a group of bullies. Coming to the youth's rescue, Rick quickly set to teaching M'ikal all he knows, including important things like reading and writing. Between Rick's kindness, and the kindness of a few other early friends, M'ikal grew, survived and blossomed in the city.

Present

Currently, M'ikal has trained as a monk, seeing as he had to learn how to fight and defend himself, since he couldn't always rely on others. In addition to that, he has taken well to lancer training as well. Still maintaining a friendship with Rick, though they are no longer together on a deeply romantic level, he still looks out for M'ikal to this day, and the young Seeker does likewise. M'ikal is a part time bartender in training for the Flickering Flame in the Goblet, and has two mates again, Leli'sae and Rhuya.
