Former captain of a Galadion Accord-adherent pirate vessel turned 'adventurer' after her ship (The Ironshore) was destroyed during the Calamity. In recent years, she has resurfaced, operating under the banner of the Free Company 'Divine Vengeance' until it's relocation. At present, she's rumored to run a Tavern out of the Goblet with a rag tag band of able-bodied employees.
Despite standing at a tall height (5'9") for a Miqo'te, Nalukai isn’t immediately visible as an outlier of her race. Her usual manner of dress tends to smooth out her edges and veil her physique. Upon closer inspection, however, one may notice that the sleeves of whatever she wears tend to cling to her upper arms and broad shoulders.
Squared palms with relatively short fingers sport a plethora of callouses, scars, and marks. Each wrist is encircled by a black leather bracer, held in place by what look to be steel snaps. The make of the bracers match a similar band around her neck.
The woman’s eyes hold thin, slitted pupils that stand out in contrast against the pale, steely blue-gray of her irises. The brows above them are, more often than not, furrowed. Evidence of this being the norm is already appearing in a faint crease between them. High cheek bones and a strong jaw and chin drop her out of the ‘pretty’ category by most standards. Those features, along with the scar over her nose and along the curve of her left cheek may, in fact, place her more in the ‘handsome for a woman’ bracket.
One of the many hallmarks of her race, Nalukai’s furred ears are sharply pointed; longer, hooked tufts sprout from the ends to curve upward and inward. They spring up from a curtain of straight, currant purple hair. Her angled bangs favor sweeping to the right side of her face and act as stage curtain to the show of many brow quirks. Past shoulder length, her hair is usually worn in a loose tail at the base of her skull; rarely is it worn down.
The other notable feature of a Miqo'te, namely her tail, is long and thickly furred, and holds the same bold purple coloring of her hair. As expressive as her face, her tail can be spotted ticking in a multitude of ways on any given occasion.
Scars & Markings: Aside from the tell-tale Miqo'te stripes on her face, the majority of the other markings to be found on her person come in the form of scarring. While most are ever covered by clothing, there are some that can be spotted rather easily. There are two marks on her face - a line of scarring across her nose and up her left cheek. Beneath her chin, a leather choker does what it can to conceal a wide band of scarring that appears to journey the full way around her neck. Both wrists, equally covered with leather bracers, bear similar circular scars.
Voice: A low alto, Nalukai's voice is gruff and clipped, heavily accented with the flavoring of Limsa Lominsa. There is a richness to it, a resonance that might make her tone seem as though it belonged to someone of a larger stature than she presents, but all the same, it comes from the body of a Miqo'te.
Clothing: Her manner of dress greatly depends on where she is, or what activities she’s up to. It’s not uncommon to see her in a set of fierce, lightly plated leather armor with a black axe looming over a shoulder. For more casual settings, however, a long leather coat seems to suffice. A cuffed pair of boots with spurs seem to be her usual footware of choice.

In terms of demeanor, it can be said that Nalukai is much like the sea she loves and calls home. On great days, she is a part of the background, quiet and restful. On gray days, when her expression is grim or hard, it may be best to stick to tamer, well-charted waters. On stormy days, it’s most definitely wiser to stay inland.
Fiercely loyal, relatively patient, stubborn, assertive, grim-humored, hot-tempered, occasionally self-destructive, generous, caring (even if not outwardly visible), determined, family-oriented, honor-conscientious but also vengeful.

Favoring the axe over other weaponry at this stage in her life, Nalukai has come into her own as a Warrior. Trained and molded by her elder brother - a practicing disciple of Rhalgr and Abalathian warrior - she's been taught not only how to wield the weapon, but how to be one without it. (WIP)
