Appearance & Personality

Appearance:

Nai would be considered a runt amongst her tribe, barely hitting 57 ilms (4'9") when stretched to her full height. While tiny at first glance, however, the little kitten has gone to great lengths to make up for what she lacks in height with strength. Most easily noted in her arms and chest, she sports lithe, packed muscle under a layer of feminine softness (strong, but not without some body fat), built to either deliver a powerful blow or brace to absorb one.

Her face is soft, a pleasant heart shape with delicate-looking features, her lips often lightly glossed in a soft purple. Vibrantly blue eyes are slanted in a manner reminiscent of her more feline traits, lined with dark lashes and sporting the tell-tale slit pupil of the Seeker breed of Miqo'te, lined with a dusting of pale purple eyeshadow. Her hair is cropped short along her jaw, sleek and bone-straight, a soft lavender color to match the fur of her ears and tail. Hidden by her bangs, a pair of tan stripes reach from the arch of her brows to her hairline, though the two pair that cross her cheeks, just below her eyes, remain perfectly visible.

She often chooses clothing that shows off her body, shameless in her enjoyment of the attention it gets (positive or negative). If her chest is bared, a Duskwight crest is visible on the left side: a crown over a simple stylization of a valley, encircled by a loop of rope.

Personality:

Flirty, competitive, and utterly, completely shameless are a few good words to sum her up. In general, Nai is a very outgoing, affectionate person with little awareness in the area of personal space. She's just as likely to touch, or even hug, a stranger as she is a friend (though friends are far more likely to have a Naibarnacle at some point during any given encounter). She's quick to tease, though she tempers the worst of her barbs with a warm tone and amused eyes. That's just her way of showing affection: The more she banters with someone, it generally means she's quite fond of them. It's the silence that generally tells of her wrath.

The only public deviation of this generally upbeat, sociable attitude is when there's a male Seeker about. If she's noticed him, she will generally go quiet and try not to draw attention to herself, even to the point of taking her leave of current company. If approached by one, she seldom makes eye-contact and becomes very withdrawn and shy, but will not disengage unless dismissed or left alone.

Enemies ♥ A'khebica Ginwa - Her baby cousin, Nai is fiercely protective of Khebi, one of her few remaining family members. ! Auriaune Fournier - There is literally nothing about this woman Nai enjoys. The first an only Elezen to really be on her 'do not associate with, EVER' list, her poor treatment of Erimmont and demeaning behavior toward Nai herself has left a very sour taste in her mouth. The less time she needs to spend around this one, the better. ● Bexy Amalaryssia - A kitten she met upon returning to civilization after her brief stay elsewhere, she enjoys teasing her and finds her quite a charming young lady to spend time just talking with. Sadly, she doesn't see her or her mate often, but perhaps someday that will change. ● Cazandra Tena'ris - Nai considers Caz a loose canon with zero respect for authority or consequences. Thus, she keeps this particularly antisocial kitten at arm's length. She has threatened her in the past and will follow through, though she hopes she doesn't need to and Eli somehow finds a way to reform the abrasive miqo'te. ● Ciel Wulfe - A lovely bard and good friend, unfortunately Nai hasn't seen her in quite a long while. Hopefully she's okay... ● C'kayah Tia - She hasn't seen this Seeker in many, many moons. This is probably a good thing, he purred way too much to be trustworthy. ♥ Desant Valeroyant - Her closest friend, lover, and mentor: there are no others who she trusts as completely. While she functions perfectly well on her own, she'll often be found plastered against his side when together in a public setting. ● Elisea Renyven - The Headmistress of Vylbrand Academy and leader of the Unsung Heroes Society, Nai answers directly to her for all things business-related. She really doesn't know her well, but follows her orders and remains loyal despite it. Her recent adventures in learning how to be affectionate in public have been amusing, to say the least. ● Erimmont Chevalier - The Wildwood that wasn't. Convinced he's got some Duskwight blood in him somewhere, Erimmont is Nai's cuddle-source when Desant isn't around. They love to tease and flirt endlessly with each other, though all in good fun. Certainly one of her closest friends, she isn't complaining about the fact he's a source of constant amusement in the form of his acts and those damned books of his. ● E'shtola Halha - An interesting kitten, though Nai isn't too sure where she stands with her. The initial reaction toward Nai was hostile, but then later she wanted to fawn over her hair and ended up toying with her tail. The open suggestion she was interested in bedding her has Nai rolling her eyes a bit, but it seems par for the course, lately. ● Estrelaint Becquerel - A former Knight-turned-Inquisitor from Ishgard with rather loose lips and a link to Erimmont in some manner through research for new novels, Nai isn't quite sure what to make of him. He was initially introduced to her in the company of one Dante Thalmos, which has left her guard up ever since. She plays nice, however, even though such an open inquisitor, of all things, sets off alarm bells something fierce. Maybe he's just lonely. ● Jandelaine Hainaut - A handsome Duskwight fellow she met in the Quicksand shortly after returning to Ul'dah for the first time in several months. She hasn't seen too much of him lately, but holds out hope that he'll return to the Academy safely. ● L'dahsh Tia - While these two started off on the wrong foot, since the loss of Dahsh's mate Nai has tried her best to be a little less fearful of the intimidating male, if only for his sake. She still treats him with utmost respect and usually remains out of arm's reach, however, even if she's growing a bit more comfortable with him in conversation. ● Lhei'to Tayuun - The Keeper she ended up 'living' with up until her disappearance in the Shroud last summer. She hasn't seen much of him since, sadly. ● Maximilien Draceloix - Bexy's Duskie lover, but that doesn't stop Nai from flirting! She's amused by him and gladly engages in tag-team teasing of poor Bexy in a game to see who can make her blush deeper. ● O'rahn Kevelan - The first male Seeker to really befriend Nai, they've become something of siblings in the time she's known him. They still have their moments, but for the most part, she couldn't ask for a closer friend and cuddlepillow. ● Satomi Hakase - Someone Nai is quite protective of, even if she isn't quite certain where she stands with her sometimes. The bookish little scientist of the Academy has found herself under Nai's wing when it comes to social engagements. She is Nai's proverbial frog in gradually boiling water in terms of being social, trying to gradually expose her to more without tripping that personal limit too hard each time. ● Velakyr De'razzan - A Duskwight who happened upon her one day in the Quicksand. He promptly stole her away by quite literally sweeping her off her feet and running off through Ul'dah's streets. They talked privately for a time, but he most impressed her by respecting the tattooed mark on her chest and not getting handsy with her.
