Seto Verasse (/ˈsɛtɵ vɛrɑːssɛ/) (née V'seto Tia) is a member of a former Vulture tribe, born as part of the Miqo'te diurnal clan Seeker of the Sun. He is the son of the owner of the Salt Trading Routes, a trade and supply business to Garlemald that also holds ties to the Ala Mighan Resistance.
Introduction
Seto Verasse is a young and fresh Miqo'te, born and raised under the tough rule of Garlemald on Gyr Abania and during the rise of the Ala Mighan Resistance. At first glance the young lad looks inexperienced and immature, but Seto is resourceful and has strong negotiation skills which become more apparent to him as he grows up away from home. Boisterous and bratty at times, Seto can get himself into trouble by being brash or acting before thinking, but it is only out of being passionate.
Names
BIRTH NAME: V'SETO TIA.
ADOPTED NAME: SETO VERASSE.
Seto's birth parents are both Vulture tribe members whom with a handful of other members, abandoned previous beliefs and teachings to join with other Midlander and Highlander Hyurs struggling under Garlean occupation to set up a trading business. In doing do, they name abandoned their normal conventions in favour of aliases to protect the Vulture tribe from any fallout against their actions. These names then went on to be known as their adoptive names.

Officially, Seto was born with the name V'Seto Tia of the Vulture tribe, but to provide an alias, his parents dropped the tribal convention of the first letter and used it to form a surname, mimicking the Hyur naming conventions but staying respectful to their roots.

Scars
Excitable, fool-hardy right-handed one on left cheek from a fight with rival pirates
Hair & Eyes
His hare-brown hair has grown out over the years from when he was young. It started as short and close to his head, sometimes looking ungroomed with flicks and curls. Since leaving his home land in Gyr Abania, Seto has allowed his hair to grow in length, giving him a more mature look though he still had a lot of growing to do. His has heterochromia iridium in his eyes; the left one is described as mossy-green while the right one is La Noscean blue. It has been commented on occasions as the most appealing feature about him.
Physique & Markings
Seto has kept himself in shape both from bare-fisted training when he was younger as well as abstaining from treats from a strict upbringing. Life at sea had a tougher regime of rationing which helped keep him focused on staying healthy. There were no expectation of Seto to need to fight in his younger years, but his own interest in defending himself paid off.

There are a few minor scars and markings on Seto's body, particularly from time spent at sea. During the invasion of a rival band of pirates onto the Roaring Rhotano, Seto was attacked while defending Bastian Greywolf, leaving him with a deep scar on his left cheek. It has healed over time and servers him as a reminder of the days when survival was fought, not just lived.
Attire
Seto prefers light clothing that does not restrict movement. Due to the wealth in the business, he can be seen wearing items of clothing the average worker would only dream of being able to afford in their lifetime, though Seto will change down to working clothes when visiting salt workers in the mines in an attempt to be viewed on their level. This is in contrast to his life at sea where his clothing was fashioned on board, being light, simple and easily repaired if damaged during day-to-day life.

The Pirate Life
Leaving Gyr Abania and the supply routes behind him, Seto made his way towards Gridania before eventually managing to hop a ride to Limsa Lominsa. Starving and desperate for a meal, the young Miqo'te took to petty crime and pickpocketing to manage while looking for a place to belong. One particular attempt let him caught red-handed by Bastian Greywolf in the food stores of the docked Roaring Rhotano. Bastian took pitty on Seto before presenting a petition to the ship's captiain Glazisil Tofftylwyn that Seto become a crew member. Since Glazisil was still building her crew from the last voyage, she quickly approved the request at the behest of Bastian, her First Mate, and took a quick liking to Seto.

For the next six years, Seto grew up on the seas, learning a number of skills under the watching eye of Bastian. During a stormy night at sea, the crew struggled to navigate through the harsh waves that battered the ship. Taking to the mast to look out over waves, Seto was able to guide the crew to safety, earning him the position of Navigator by Glazisil.

From exploring the seas, looking for treasure and battling with rivals, Seto relished under the guidance of both Captain and First Mate, becoming an intergral part of the Roaring Rhotano#s crew. This wasn't without concequences as his name started to travel.
A Life For Coin
About two months after his nameday, Seto felt eyes watching him whiel he made some errands in the Limsa markets. When he caught the figure of a man making a dash for him, he took off, bolting through Hawker's Alley and towards the dock, hoping to lose his stalker in the crowd. He was successful, but confided into Glazisil about the event. She in turn asked him not to tell Bastian as she knew her First Mate would only cause trouble at the docks looking for this figure.

RETURNING HOME
With his past catching up to him, Seto knew he had a choice ahead of him which path he wanted to take. Where as his sense of adventure was out rolling in the waves with Glazisil and Bastian, he couldn't deny that his heart missed home and that the years on the sea and made him realise the pain he must have caused from abandoning his responsibilities. After a discussion with Glazisil and Bastian, Seto ultimately decides to return home with Nobu being his escort.

Reaching the Peaks after a few long days of travel, Nobu realizes they are being followed. When the two of them reach Goodblade they are ambushed by another group of Bounty Hunters, led by Temujin Moks, a rival of Nobu's. out to claim the bounty for Seto themselves. Ordering their mark to run, Seto refuses to leave Nobu's side, and the two of them defend against Temujin's attack. As Nobu manages to strike his rival down, the Au'Ra vows revenge before fleeing. Seto demands an explanation from Nobu who reluctantly explains the price for Seto's capture and return to Garlemald.

"Garlemald have painted you a deserter and traitor to the Empire. The price on your head is enough to inspire anyone looking to make easy coin."
- Nobu's honest appraisal of Seto's bounty.

Filling in the details, Nobu explains the history between how the Salt Trading Routes had orchestrated support when his tribe needed it the most. This has influenced his decision to return Seto to the Lochs instead of Garlemald. Seto wasn't happy at the news of the bounty on him, but accepted the hardships of Garlean occupation drove people to desperate ways to survive.
A Cold Homecoming
With Nobu delivering Seto back to the Ala Mighan Quarter, his father, Riseh was pleased to see his son safe and home. Thanking Nobu, Riseh offers payment and asks Nobu to stay a few days to celebrate the return. Unexpectedly welcomed, Seto finds relief to be back home, though it only takes a few days for rumours and whisperings to surround his return. Upon venturing out of the walls, Seto is attacked and narrowly escapes a run in from a Ananta hailing from the Vira tribe.

Calling for both Seto and Nobu, Riseh explains that with his son missing, rivals have tried various different methods to fold the business, from assassination on Riseh himself to attacks on the supply deliveries on route. The routes have been made secure with agreed support from the Garleans but they do not have the same value on the business itself, only caring for the goods. Riseh believes the Garleans would be happy for anyone to take up the supplies and saw no value on who it was. With Seto being the heir to the business, Riseh makes a proposal to Nobu to become a personal bodyguard to Seto and protect him from any would-be harm, making a promise of a steady wage, an apartment, and provisions to help him in his duty. Nobu accepts the arrangement.

At Riseh's request, Seto took up duties to intergrate himself back in with the workers and suppliers. His father's faith in him however was not enough to sway that of others. The lack of faith in Seto's ability to lead the business lead to him receiving the nickname The Desert Prince. It was a cruel play on words, derived from Seto's desertion of his duties at seventeen, the emptiness of the Lochs and that without the Supply Routes, the business and it's people would be left with nothing.

Whereas Seto was brought up in the Sagolii Desert he spends most of his time in La Noscea region. However as a fisher and culinarian by hobby, you can find him fishing in other areas accross Eorzea, normally out the way and out of sight. Good luck finding him!

Affiliations
Seto is known in a few places; wither that is a good thing or not depends if he's been a pest or not. Most of these aren’t public, and would have to be asked after!
Fisherman's Bottom: Well known as listens to Wawalago's fishing advice.
IC Inventory
The following items are things that Seto carries on him at all times. These are noted for pickpockets, and those watching him closely. This information is meant to be a prompt for insight and is not to be meta-gamed, though feel free to use this information if it comes up logically in RP (pickpocketing, a search, etc) with use of a simple /tell.

Glio coinpurse.png Seto CrowFly.png

Coinpurse: A simple coin purse made of soft leather, containing a few hundred gil.
Fishing Tackle: An assortment of fishing tackle from when he goes out to fish.
RP Limits
I have roleplayed in forums but not in a real-time game environment so I can be shy. Saying that, I am well aware of my limits with roleplays. I like something with meaning and can build but I will not take on too many storylines so that I can manage them appropiately and divide attention to each fairly. I beleive I am pretty open to most subjects and I am happy to let anyone know if they are concerned in advance through the /tell system. As for Seto, he is still growing up in the realm. Since leave the tribe camp as an inexperienced you man he has learned a lot and still has a lot to learn. Don't be put of by his naivety; I like to play him as a curious lad but he can have his moments when he is serious and does exactly as he is told.
Acceptable RP is most roleplaying themes from the light-hearted, romantic or humerous to the dark, serious and mature themes (conflict, violence, gambling, drug / alcohol use, sexuality) as long as it makes sense to the characters and their relationship. Plots can be one-shots or long-term and can be private between a few players to public with multiple players. Combat, rivalry, pirating, stealing, friendships, romantic or sexual tension, coarse language, temporary captivity or imprisonment, temporary injury, group hunts, dungeon exploration and such are all welcome. LGBTI+ friendly.
Ask about random erotic roleplaying (such as kinks or themes), pernament scarring, long term imprisoning or captivity, kidnap and temporary character death.
Unacceptable is pernament character death, mutilation, permanent injury or disfiguration, gore or extreme violence.
Unlisted themes or subjects should always be asked about, including any mature or sexual themes.
RP Hooks
Seto is still learning as he adventures accorss Eorzea. While the below is by no means comprehensive, it's a kind of spring board for walk-up RP. Longer plots that are meant to run for more than a few quick RP's, please feel free to send me a tell so we can work out a good reason for our characters to get to know one another. Feel free to talk to me!
Seto loves to fish. Show him a good fishing spot and you've won his attnetion. He also loves to cook the fish he's caught, so show him or make him a good meal and you're gold.
He feels like he is a good hunter and is happy to eager to help anyone who needs help in this matter. Maybe a little too eager at times.

Player Information
Player Note
So here I am editing this again. You can see that currently it is a work in progress. I have been playing FFXIV since launch and I've always wanted to get invovled with the roleplaying community but sadly I get really nervous about inflicting Seto onto people, so I haven't done anywhere near as much as I'd like. Let me get this page all set up (thanks for the inspiration people with awesome pages) and I'll get this updated when I can play. Thanks for looking!

Tropes & Explanations
A trope is a convention or device that is often found in creative works. In this case, the tropes below describe Seto either in part, or as a whole. His background, personality, appearance, etc, most of them can be described in the tropes below.
Example
Tropes are devices and conventions that a writer can reasonably rely on as being present in the audience members' minds and expectations. On the whole, tropes are not clichés.
